We had a great stay at the hotel. The cleanliness and service were both excellent. The swimming pool with slides was a big hit, especially for the kids. The food was delicious with a wide variety of choices to suit everyone. Special thanks to Anil, who cleaned our room—he was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Food, service cleanliness all excellent. The buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner is amazing. Not one bad dish. Plenty of salads and cheeses. The hot dishes are amazing and there’s an omelette station at breakfast. Different themed nights for food and the usual kids counter, where a lot of adults queue for the fries. !! Pool is busy but you always manage to get even one sunbed. Anil Rai looked after our room and kept it so clean. Cleaned every day thank you

Had an amazing time here, we were 3 families with kids aged 11 to 17. The food, all the pools and bars were great. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and our cleaner Gaurav went above and beyond in decorating the room for my partners birthday. Thoroughly recommend this resort.

The hotel is lovely, great breakfast. |Our house keeper Nithin Antony was an exceptional member of staff, always friendly and happy and made us some perfect animals out of towels, the whale 🐋 being our favourite. The sun terrace upstairs was always busy, so we got the bus to the beach a few times. The Italian restaurant over the road is nice, or take a short walk near the bus station and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from around there.

We visited Malta with another couple , staying in the AX Odycy on an all inclusive basis, for 11 nights, from 7th July. After a tiring day, sat on runway at Gatwick for 2 hours, we arrived at the hotel late evening. Our room, 625, was ideal, lovely view across the sea and surrounding area, good balcony, plenty of room, safety deposit box, good air conditioning and nice bathroom with walk in shower-couldn’t fault the room. The only odd thing was the reluctance of anyone to leave drinking water bottles in the room! We had 2 when we arrived but unless we asked bottles weren’t left so we bought our own from a nearby shop! The room was well maintained during our holiday. The reception staff were very helpful and fairly quickly we were sat downstairs in the side street bar,the main bar. Service was excellent and as the holiday progressed we spent most evenings in this bar with the very friendly and efficient Valentina looking after us! This bar was air conditioned and busy but offered entertainment every evening and also had an outside area. Outside it was always warm but it was nice to sit and watch the local world go by! Incidentally, the lifts were probably the best and most efficient I’ve ever experienced, perhaps I was just lucky but neither me or the wife ever had a problem.||The food was excellent with the main buffet offering a very wide range of choices. We had breakfast here every day and used it evening times. There was a good coffee shop next to the main restaurant where we tended to get sandwiches for lunchtime- didn’t want 3 cooked meals a day after a big breakfast! We used the Italian restaurant and the Cheeky Monkey for a la carte meals and both were very good- really enjoyed the lamb shank in the Italian! During the day we used the adult pool area on floor 11 - this worked very well for us since we were always up by 8am when this area opens! We always got sunbeds but it did get busy very quickly! The views from this area were amazing. The area consisted of 2 adult pools, a spa area, a shaded area where are friends sat and a good bar. It was very warm whilst we were there and the pool, although too small for swimming, provided welcome relief from the sun! The bar was small and you had to queue sometimes but the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We really enjoyed this area! Late afternoon we often ventured across the road, there is a tunnel underneath, and used the cheeky water bar above the cheeky monkey where drinks were part of the AI package - again nice views from this area, a good bar and a pool if you fancied a dip!||We went on a boat trip from Silema to the blue lagoon and Gozo and that was good- probably the best food we’ve ever had on a boat trip! We also used the local buses to visit Medina and Valletta -2.5 euros each way, very good value. Transport was very good with a good variety and choice of buses. We also visited the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, using the Bolt app for taxis- the app worked well.||The weather was very good whist we were here and it was busy but never felt overly crowded. We would certainly return and couldn’t really fault anything apart from the unavailability of water- seemed very odd for such a good hotel to expect guests to purchase water from outside-not a real problem but a bit odd!

We stayed at the hotel 10 nights in July (5th–15th), in room 430. The hotel was very clean and beautiful. The food was excellent. The all-inclusive package was of a very high standard. We loved the espresso bar – it was fantastic. All the hotel staff were friendly. Greetings to the lifeguard Abdul Mannan. We really enjoyed our holiday. I can recommend this hotel. Thank you very much

In our experience, the hotel was a nice and big hotel, but a few inconsistencies from staff, silly hotel policies and attitudes of staff let it down.|To start with the positive, prior to our stay we had let the hotel know we were celebrating a 10 year anniversary. The receptionist was very welcoming, congratulating us, and he even upgraded our room and decorated the bed with balloons and rose petals, which was really nice touch. This staff member was probably the only one that went out of his way and was accommodating for the whole trip.|Now onto the negatives… It felt like there was a different rule each day and staff were just making things up as they go along. Firstly, the inconsistencies with the drink prices at the pool bar (this was the bar above cheeky monkey). My partner and I had the same drink order each time and we would take it in turns to get rounds. On the first day, the first round I got was 11 euros, then my partners was 12 euros (for the exact same drinks) then for me it was 11 euros again. The next day, the same thing, we ordered the exact same drinks and throughout the day the price kept changing. I had ordered the drinks at one point for 11 euros then an hour later got charged 12 euros. Obviously, it’s only 1 euro so it’s not a big deal but the inconsistency was just odd. When I mentioned it to the bartender, he just slammed the receipt down and said ‘that’s the price’. When I tried to explain again, he said maybe you got another drink.. Obviously, I knew I hadn’t.|Towards the end of the holiday, at the same bar, I had gone up three times and asked for just a glass of tap water, sometimes I got two glasses, one for my partner as well. Later on, that same day (same server), my partner goes up to the bar to get us both a glass of tap water. He got told that a glass of tap water is for all inclusive guests only and tried to charge him for bottled water, which he refused and asked for the tap water as we had been served that all day. I’m not sure whether the hotel staff are just discriminative or if they just apply the hotel policies when and as they feel like it..|As well, we both had a bottle of water we liked to keep in our rooms. The first morning we went to fill up this bottle with water at the water machine in the breakfast buffet area. Staff ran up to my partner and told him he is not allowed to fill his bottle up as it is against hotel policy and we must buy bottled water from the café, although, we were allowed to fill a normal cup up with water to have sat at the table. I appreciate this is not the staff members fault as they are just following the hotel policy, however, this just feels really pedantic and like the hotel are just trying to get as much money out of you as they can, therefore not really valuing the guest.|Another issue was the lack of pool bar snacks the restaurant offered. From my experience with most hotels, the bar by the pool will often have a snack menu, perhaps serving toasties, sandwiches, salads, chips, pizzas, just light snacks which you can have by the pool. This was not an option. On the first day we walked around the hotel for ages trying to find somewhere. We went to the guest experience counter where they recommended the restaurants below the pools (such as cheeky monkey and the Italian restaurant). We explained the food offered in these sit-down restaurants are main meals and more suitable for dinner, whereas we just wanted something light for by the pool. We then got recommended to go to the café in the lobby, which was extremely limited for options and did not taste great. This was something I struggled with in the day as I prefer a light snack for lunch by the pool rather than a big lunch, but this just wasn’t an option provided by the hotel. It’s a shame the bar above cheeky monkey did not offer lighter lunch options for by the pool. Another day we also went to the Minoa restaurant, as we noticed there were two menus outside the restaurant (one we liked the look of and one we did not). We therefore queued up at the bar to check with the staff what menu it is for dinner as we wanted to check the menu before we arrived later. The staff just pointed to the menus and said ‘menus over there’. I felt like there was a lot of times I was constantly having to repeat or explain myself, with staff often not being very accommodating.|Lastly, when we arrived, our hotel room was extremely hot. The aircon in the room was locked at a set temperature and we were unable to change it. The receptionist said they have changed the temperature of our room from their phone, but it still appeared locked and was extremely hot in the room. We therefore went back to reception and they had told us someone will come to our room to look. Not long after, we got a phone call in our room from reception saying that someone will come to our room as soon as possible. 2.5 hours later and no one had arrived, and at this point we had to go out in the evening due to having a restaurant reservation. When we came back to the room later, it was a lot cooler so it had appeared someone had fixed the issue, but the communication and us having to consistently chase them was frustrating.|Overall, it is a nice hotel, very modern and decorated nicely, however, the attitudes of staff and some hotel policies let it down, along with the lack of lunch options, therefore I don’t think I would say at this hotel again or recommend it.

An absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel exceeded all my expectations – beautiful facilities, friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, and a very relaxing atmosphere. The pool and spa were perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Highly recommended, and I’d definitely come back!
