Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives

Picking a resort in the Maldives 🇲🇻 was very difficult as there was so many different and beautiful beaches and options. We picked Finolhu due to its massive sandbar and its extensive natural habitat and beautiful views and variety of restaurants and in particular crab shack experience and dining. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiling staff and coconut drinks with our butler Ibrahim connecting us with our room and explaining all the resorts options to us then having on hand anything we required 24 hours a day. Shah our main service butler and right hand man was exceptional and unbelievable with his knowledge of the island, organisational skills and flexibility with our requirements and request - he was a absolute gem and made our experience all the more impressive and personalised. The housekeeping staff and restaurant staff here at Finolhu is also exceptional and needs to be mentioned. Every morning for breakfast we would be greeted individually by management staff and were looked after everyday we dinned no matter which restaurant we used. The food here at Finolhu was outstanding- crab shack is an experience that is no other I have had in the world and their white party was a memorable experience and enjoyable to attend. The restaurants - Arabian - Japanese- buffets-crab shack - beach bar - are all sensational and delicious with cocktails and champagne served non stop making you feel like vip guests 24 hours a day. The house reef 🪸 at Finolhu is a highlight as well with coral reefs, massive different fishes spotted and even reef sharks 🦈 and stingrays can all be seen both above the water and through snorkelling. This place is couple and family friendly and has amazing entertainment for all regardless of ages. The local fire 🔥 entertainers and traditional drum boys were all delightfully and impressive to watch. Finolhu was exceptional and somewhere I know I will return too due to how beautiful the resort was and its staff and facilities. Highly recommended resort in the Maldives- ❤️

Absolute dream trip — shoutout to Shah! 🙌🌴||Can’t even put into words how amazing our stay was! The overwater villa? Insane. Like straight out of a postcard — waking up to the ocean, jumping right into the water, sunsets from the deck… unreal.||But honestly, what took this trip to the next level was Shah. This guy is a legend. Super friendly, always smiling, and just totally on top of everything. He remembered all the little things we liked, surprised us with sweet touches every day, and just made the whole vibe feel extra special. You could tell he really cares — not just doing his job, but genuinely making people happy.||The resort itself is top-notch — great food, stunning views, super chill. But it’s people like Shah that make it unforgettable. We came for the Maldives, but we’ll come back because of him.||Already missing it. 1000% recommend. ❤️

Saju was an amazing butler. First class rooms, service, and food. Beautiful island with clear warm water and pristine white powder beaches. Our over water bungalow was right over the lagoon so snorkeling was terrific. We sponsored some coral reforestation which was fun. Some fun events including a great dolfin excursion. Our stay at the Finolhu was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The food was delicious with a great variety, and the entertainment, especially the cultural and fire shows was truly impressive. What made the experience exceptional was the warm and attentive service from the entire staff. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, making our stay relaxing and memorable. We would happily return!

Stayed here for 5 nights and it was an extremely wonderful experience. We got a surprise upgrade to the ocean villa and it was just the most perfect villa with a private pool overlooking the ocean. We had Shah as our butler and was absolutely pampered by him with his eagerness to make it the best holiday for us. All the staffs were extremely friendly and welcoming, and not once did we feel out of place in this beautiful resort. ||Also a must do: the house reef snorkelling by their resident marine biologist! Seeing their reef from a different lens really made the difference.

We spent our honeymoon at Finolhu and it was truly a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with warmth, care, and attention to detail that made us feel incredibly special.||A huge thank you to our amazing butler Shah, who made our entire stay smooth, stress-free, and full of beautiful memories. Shah was always available, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed (even before we asked!). He truly made our honeymoon feel personalized and unforgettable.||We also want to give a big shout-out to Ali, one of the friendliest and most cheerful staff members we met on the island. His positive energy and kind smile made every interaction a joy — such a sweet and lovable person!||Another highlight of our stay was the resort clinic, where I needed medical help for an earwax issue. The on-site doctor was incredibly professional, gentle, and effective in resolving the problem quickly. It’s reassuring to know that even in paradise, you’re in safe hands if anything happens.||In addition to the wonderful service, the island itself is stunning — beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, and stylish villas. The food at every restaurant was fresh and delicious, with great variety each day. We also enjoyed some relaxing spa time and the peaceful, romantic atmosphere all around the resort.||Thank you, Finolhu team, for giving us such an incredible start to our married life. We’ll never forget this experience and hope to come back again one day!
