Finolhu, a Seaside Collection Resort

From the moment we arrived, Finolhu Maldives welcomed us with effortless charm and elevated hospitality. The resort strikes a perfect balance between bold design and barefoot luxury every detail thoughtfully curated to create an unforgettable escape . Everything was smooth from arrival till departure. Staffs are super friendly and always ready to assist us. Food from Crab Shack, Kanusan, Beach kitchen and Pizza counter were amazing. Room is beautifully well-equipped and clean. Last but not least, shout out to our villa attendant, Adil and our butler, Shah, for their warm service and professionalism. Thanks, Finolhu Team. We will be back.

We booked the Finolhu for our honeymoon after visiting previously once before. We were so impressed with all the new amenities and renovations which the resort has undergone since we last stayed here in 2018. The rooms and resort have been modernised and the service has really been elevated. The staff members and their attention to detail really is incredible - our personal concierge Shah was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had the most amazing stay, keeping us up to date each morning with events that were happening at the resort, organising all of our restaurant bookings etc - just dealing with everything for us so that we could truly relax. Nothing is too much trouble and it truly feels like an amazing 5 star experience. We really enjoyed our previous visit however this time it really feels like the resort and staff have stepped it up a notch and it truly was such an amazing time! We will definitely be back!

This was a unique vacation experience. It is worth the journey and the journey is part of the adventure. Hospitality to the nines from the moment you step foot on the dock. You are whisked away via golf cart to your villa. The villa is clean and stocked with yummy snacks and beverages. |Your butler is available to you throughout your stay to help coordinate excursions , reservations and pretty much anything you need. While planning our trip, the resort was responsive to email questions. The resort and island are clean and beautiful. Up to date gym overlooking the ocean made working out so nice. We felt very safe everywhere we went. |You can’t be as busy or not busy as you would like. There are activities planned daily on the resort. The three restaurants are so much fun and all have delicious food. The staff is warm and so accommodating. Everyone greets you and remembers your name. Saju our butler was incredibly helpful making sure we did not miss out on the white party- reservations needed and a Maldivian night full of delicious Maldivian food, traditional drum dance and fire entertainers. Saju was always available to answer questions book reservations, spa appointments, excursions and rides to and from our villa. Sony, Tamilla and Umars were around at restaurants and events to make sure we were having a great time and we enjoyed many conversations with them. Ali, and Abulho greeted us in the morning for breakfast warmly. Luhira makes the best French toast I’ve had. The honeys and chutneys are a perfect addition. Upol was at most of our dinners to chat with and make sure we were taken good care of. Deny, Ashfaan and Rikki at the club bar make delicious drinks and snacks perfect for a light lunch option. Honestly everyone was so nice to interact with. This was the most enjoyable vacation we have had. We would love to return.

An unforgettable experience that well exceeded our expectations. We frequent ultra-premium resorts and private islands around the world (Capella, Four Seasons etc). I chose Finolhu based on its location within the UNESCO Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve, and for its excellent price point for a two-bedroom villa. The accommodation, food, and butler service matched that of far more exclusive resort offerings. Staff were attentive to our needs at all times and made us truly feel like celebrities on our own private island (shout out in particular to Saju, Upul, and Siraj).

Finolhu Hotel is the best hotel for enjoying the Maldives. Let's start with the ideal size of the island, because you can find a place for a nice walk, and at the same time, all the important places are within walking distance. What I especially liked was that the island offers a huge number of entertainment options for every taste. The hotel itself has good tennis and paddle tennis courts (rackets and balls are provided by the hotel), as well as a football pitch and a good golf simulator. In addition, the hotel always has an interesting programme, which is updated every day. There are many activities for both children and adults. It is worth dwelling on the children's activities in more detail, as I was travelling with my younger brother and sister. There is a separate kids' club on the island with extremely friendly staff and a huge range of entertainment options. There is also a separate building for teenagers with games, PlayStation and musical instruments.|I cannot fail to mention the excellent cuisine and great choice of restaurants. Not only are there three other restaurants on the island besides the main one, but the theme of the dinner in the main restaurant changed every evening.|The villas at Finolhu are lovely, with an excellent choice of both location and size. I liked the bathroom the most, as it was very spacious and had three shower cubicles to suit all tastes and, importantly, a bathtub. I would like to say a special thank you to the Housekeeping team, as the villa was incredibly clean and was cleaned twice a day!|The most important and noticeable advantage for me was the service on the island. All the staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to help with any problem or question. Our butler, Alina, was incredibly professional, taking care of everything related to leisure activities, restaurants and our holiday in general. I would like to commend all the event hosts for their excellent work and involvement in each of the activities. The service in the restaurants on the island was particularly delightful. The staff are truly professional in their work and, most strikingly, they are genuinely happy and enjoy what they do. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive to each and every guest! |If you are planning a holiday in the Maldives, I highly recommend going to Finolhu!

My stay at the resort was absolutely wonderful. The place is elegant and comfortable, with services delivered at the highest level of professionalism and efficiency. This was a truly one of the most beautiful, relaxing vacations I have been on. From the moment you step off the sea plane onto the doc, you feel taken care of. You are greeted by staff and taken by your butler via golf cart to your villa. The villa was clean and stocked. Fresh and sparkling water replenished daily. Your butler is available to arrange excursions, reservations, spa treatments and rides to and from wherever you are going on the island. Prior to traveling, resort staff will gladly email you prices of different meal plans so you can pick what makes sense for you and your budget. The gym is in excellent condition and overlooks the ocean. The breakfast buffet is extensive and the different offerings are rotated. We tried new things each day and enjoyed them all. Don’t miss the white party at the Crab Shack! All the restaurants were well above average. Kanusan and Crab Shack were our personal favorites. The beaches and clear water are great for snorkeling. We always felt safe everywhere on the island. Above all, the warmness and hospitality of the staff stand out superiorly. Saju, our butler was on top of everything. She was so knowledgeable and helpful, keeping us up to date if events changed due to weather and making suggestions to enhance our experience. We had a massage on a rainy day that was wonderful and relaxing. Perfect after a long journey. We looked forward to seeing all of our new friends (staff) each day a different meals and events. Umars, Sunny, Tamilla were so welcoming and friendly. Ali and Abulho were always welcoming at breakfast and Upol made all our dinner experiences amazing. I highly recommend ordering the French toast made by Luhira at breakfast. It was delicious. Ashfaan, Rikki and Deny at the club bar made the best drinks and snacks!

If you’re researching Maldives Resort and happen to chance upon this review, here’s a full breakdown of what our 5d4n experience was like… Excellent service, delicious food, amazing views (sunrise, sunsets and clear waters) and wonderful sleep. Came here for our babymoon and they even had u-shape pregnancy pillows. The level of consideration for guests is unmatched. We got the all-inclusive package beachfront villa; the room was spacious and the food was amazing. My husband has high standards for food yet he was impressed. Spicy arrabbiata pasta from beach kitchen and crab shack’s lobster linguine were standouts for us. The most unforgettable experience here was found in interactions with the crew (and I can see many reviews mentioning similar things). Thank you to Ricky, Fegey, Ayaz, Sushima, Himanshu, Ali, Umey.
