Finolhu, a Seaside Collection Resort

This was my first trip to the Maldives. And Finolhu was an incredible experience. Everyone was so friendly. Lots of families and kids, and an overall positive, fun, and supportive atmosphere. The buffet and food were incredible. We were so full by the end of the trip that we would have to skip lunch to reset. The rooms are beautiful and very easy access to the ocean. Our Roohu Ismail was incredible. And even helped me book a nice surprise on our honeymoon by helping decorate our room without my wife knowing during dinner. The facilities and services are incredible. There are also padel and tennis courts, which I loved too. But the biggest highlight is definitely the snorkelling on the reef. The water is so clear, and the fish are absolutely beautiful and plentiful.

Words cannot even describe our honeymoon trip to Finolhu Baa Atoll. This resort exceeded all expectations that we had for so many reasons. ||The service at the resort is impeccable. From the minute we walked off the plane until the second we departed the resort, we were treated like royalty. Our Butler, Nook, provided us with the best service and help from the moment we stepped off the seaplane. She was always available should we need anything and was very quick to respond to any questions or requests we had. She even came to our rescue one night when we got locked out of our villa. Nook was absolutely amazing and attentive and always greeted us with a smile!!||The food was above and beyond the best we have ever had at any resort or hotel we have stayed. My husband suffers from severe allergies and Suresh, the head chef at the Beach Kitchen, ensured that he had the best meals every day. This was the first time that we have traveled and did not have to worry or stress about my husband getting sick from cross contamination or accidentally eating something he shouldn’t. Suresh greeted us for every meal and truly made the most amazing meals personally for my husband. The food at the Beach Kitchen was delicious. The staff there was amazing. We were warmly greeted every morning by Ali who quickly remembered our name. Everyone was warm and friendly and very quick to get us whatever we needed. The à la carte restaurants were equally as amazing. ||The villas are beautiful. We had an overwater sunset villa and it was just amazing. The back deck was spacious and so relaxing. We spent a lot of our time on our back deck and private pool. The beach is beautiful and very quiet and peaceful with ample seating. ||My husband went diving and said that the diving was the best he’s ever experienced. Laura was his dive partner and was a great guide and took them to some amazing spots with so many fish and sharks!!||Special shoutout to Ashraf who always made us laugh and also to the Assistant Manager of the Beach Kitchen (whose name has escaped me) who was very friendly and always took the time to talk with us. ||Thank you Finolhu for the trip of a lifetime. One we will never forget!!

Had a great time with my wife here at Finolhu. The service and food was the best I’ve ever had at a resort. | Our Butler Ismael was very punctual, friendly and helpful. Anything we needed, he was there for us. From room essentials to making reservations, to transporting us from place to place, he was on point and very professional. Truly elite, at what he does. I would request him again if we come back. Can’t say enough good things about him and the entire staff. 5 stars is not enough for the amazing service you receive here. | Now on to the food. Exceptional food at every restaurant we went to. As a food person myself, I was truly impressed. All the restaurants have their unique dishes that will blow your mind. All inclusive premium is highly recommend if you’re on the fence about it. 100% worth it if you want to try all of these amazing restaurants, which are on rotation nightly. The crab shack was probably our favorite, we had lunch there multiple times. The Beach kitchen buffet has a great breakfast and lunch. It also has a new themed dinner every night(Italian, Latino, Maldivian street food etc)| Things to do on the island vary. For activities at no charge, you have yoga, the spa, ping pong, snorkeling, tennis, a gym, outdoor punching bag, among many others. Other activities which cost extra are jet skiing, scuba, jet blading and more. All worth it. | You won’t regret choosing this place over any other resort in the Maldives as we spoke to multiple people who have been on different islands that are comparable but not as good. Thanks to the staff at Finolhu for making this an unforgettable trip of a lifetime

We are here 2nd time. One of the best hotel at Maldives. Great time with the family and resort in gereral.||||what need to improve:||||A hotel should remain a place of relaxation, comfort, and coziness.||||The hotel is very large, crowded, and buggies drive frequently and quickly. They've stopped slowing down, and they don't always give rides if they're on the way.||||This hotel has every chance of becoming a mass-market place, losing quality and simply being a good place.||||Continue to care for your guests, protect them, and don't bother them with your service.||||Train your staff; don't hire amateurs.||||A big thank you to Chef Bernard. He always made me a delicious tartare for lunch at my request, and other dishes I'd like. It was always hassle-free and a joy to behold!

Finolhu was the perfect destination for our wedding anniversary. It balances luxury and refinement with relaxation, not being too fussy and allowing you to indulge in whatever mood takes you. The island is pristine - the clearest water and beautiful facilities all extremely well maintained. The variety and quality of food is sensational and we particularly liked the Crab Shack and the Japanese restaurant. A few surprises were the butler service, ready always to pick us up from our room and take us anywhere on the island. We also didnt realise how accessible the snorkelling would be - straight out from the over-water villas and the current gently drifts you back along the drop-off, to the island. Over seven nights we had plenty to do including day trips to see the Manta Rays, jet skiing with dolphins and exploring the island facilities. We went for the premium all-inclusive package and were always so full that we barely touched the mini-bar (which is also included). Finally, the staff are so welcoming and friendly. They go the extra mile to ensure you are well looked after and take a huge amount of pride in their work. Look forward to our next trip and although it was an indulgence, the memories are priceless.

An absolutely outstanding stay at Finolhu Maldives from start to finish. Everything was truly exceptional and exceeded expectations in every way. As with all resorts in the Maldives, it is expensive — but in this case, the money is genuinely well spent. The island is stunning, beautifully designed, and perfectly maintained, striking a perfect balance between luxury and relaxed island vibes. The villas are spacious, stylish, and immaculately clean, with incredible attention to detail. The service deserves special mention: warm, attentive, and genuinely caring without ever feeling intrusive. The food was excellent across all restaurants, with great variety and consistently high quality. The only minor drawbacks are that the nearby coral reef is not as impressive as at some other Maldivian resorts, and the activities are on the expensive side. That said, these points do little to detract from an otherwise exceptional experience. Overall, Finolhu delivers a memorable and high-end Maldivian escape, and it’s easy to see why so many guests return.

A truly great stay. Beautiful resort, very good food, and efficient, kind service throughout. Special thanks to Reema, our host — she was professional, quick to help, and genuinely warm and attentive. Thanks to her, everything felt easy and comfortable.

The resort is approximately 30minute sea plane transfer from Male.||||We stayed in V120, an overwater bungalow, which was a short walk to the beach, milk lab and gym and a little further to the pool and main beach. There are buggy’s throughout the day, if you don’t fancy the walk, however we mainly used the buggy’s for the children and took the opportunity to walk down. ||||In terms of the rooms, Cheney, our room attendant, was very accommodating and did a wonderful job keeping our room in order. Travelling with 2 children and extended family meant that we were constantly in and out of our rooms or the children would be hanging out in the room at different points in the day. Cheney was very accommodating of this, making plans to come back at a different time. The turn down service was lovely and it was a treat returning to the room and seeing the different desserts that had been left for us. Some of the creations looked too good to eat!||||We tried all the restaurants ||Honestly, I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. During our stay our Cheney was our room attendant and was very accommodating and did a wonderful job keeping our room in order and ensuring we had enough water. Travelling with 2 children and extended family meant that we were constantly in and out of our rooms or the children would be hanging out in the room at different points in the day. Cheney was very accommodating of this, making plans to come back at a different time. The turn down service was lovely and it was a treat returning to the room and seeing the different desserts that had been left for us. Some of the creations looked too good to eat! ||||We ate at all the restaurants and the children ate their body weight in french toast, crepes and chicken dumplings and the staff were always very pleasant and accommodating. A special shoutout to Ali, Umair (sorry about the spelling), the staff at The Milk Lab (one of our favourite hangouts and family catch ups), the lady with glasses that works at the pool bar - she was a godsend when our children were ordering pizza after pizza and checking in on them and with us to make sure they were ok. The buffet stations were fantastic and the food throughout was exceptional. We particularly enjoyed The Crab Shack (would recommend the earlier sitting for dinner) and Kanusan. We enjoyed the food at the Arabian, however felt that the restaurant was quite dark and with being on long tables, it was hard to see the guests at the other end and our food at times. ||As mentioned the Milk Lab was a favourite hangout for milkshakes and waffles and the frozen custard!||||The gym was brilliant. We went everyday and the range of classes were great. Kamal led the sunrise yoga/meditation/jogging on the beach each morning and it really was a lovely way to start the day.||||My daughter and her cousins attended the art lab most days for an art class and came home with pottery, paintings and trinkets.||||The most heartfelt thanks and gratitude goes to Mega. What a dream it was to have Mega looking afree our family. Her patience, attention to detail and general demeanour is one that is greatly missed and also greatly appreciated. In the 2 weeks we were there, Mega came to feel like family and if we could, we would have whisked her back to England with us! She is an asset to Finolhu and despite being run ragged by 11 of us, Mega was always gracious and graceful, making any request seem effortless (even though we knew how much work and effort she put into our stay).||||The resort itself is as stunning as it looks in the pictures. Being there for 2 weeks over the course of Christmas and New Year felt like a dream and getting to know other holiday makers and the staff made the report feel even more special. I have honestly left a little piece of my heart in Finolhu and cannot wait to return.
