Cute cozy little hotel, not the fanciest, but exactly what we needed for a 1 night stay as we were passing through. Very affordable. Less than 4 minute walk to beach and restaurants. Pay a little extra for the room with a spa tub. Very relaxing. Great customer service. The gal that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. They have drinks, popcorn and snacks at the office along with movies and games. Only complaint is the parking. Not many spots.

Google
We payed attention to this place because of tiffany color and never regret about our decision! That was super cozy staying. Clean, warm, neat, nice smell suite with everything you need in literally two minutes walk to the beach. Special thanks to super nice front desk lady - sorry, didn't ask her name, but she is amazing!

Google
Great little place, 1 block from the promenade & the beach. Rooms were clean, a lot of outdoor seating. Ruth was working the night we stayed here & she was wonderful. Very helpful and very friendly; she is definitely an asset to this hotel. We would definitely return.

Ruth is so accommodating and puts a personal stamp on the visitor experience. My business occasionally brings in customers from out of town and I have recommended Hillcrest for their stay. Every customer of mine has nothing but great feedback when they stay there. Thank you for being a great business partner!

Google
Stayed in the lowest priced room (no AC). Good bed and shower and view of the beach from this 2nd story room. Does have a small bathroom with lighting only decent. Parking good and great location a block or so from main access to beach. Snacks provided including popcorn, taffy, cookies, etc. Ruth helped me with a dislocated contact lens and very nice to talk with. The price is lower than normal because besides no AC there is also no TV service. All of this BTW is described at the site for this one room. I assume the rest of the rooms are much nicer but also are more expensive.

Google
Such a cozy and wonderful place to honeymoon. We were just there in a room with a fireplace and it had everything we needed. The staff were wonderful and welcoming. We will be back, SOON!

Google
This was a truly amazing place to stay. Ceasar the front desk gentlemen was amazing and so very helpful. I highly recommend staying here it is so kid friendly. We will be booking here again.

Google
Great location. We weren’t sure what to expect when booking this motel, we booked it last minute as it was high season and not much was left in terms of options and overall, we had a good three day stay. Ruth was friendly when we checked in, the room was pretty damp due to the humidity but quickly fixed itself when we turned on the ac unit. Wifi worked well. Plenty of free parking. Location is really great. You’re steps from the beach. They have filtered water in the office and some sweet snacks like jelly rolls and little packaged donuts and popcorn available for free while the office is open if that’s your thing. Bathroom came with a jacuzzi tub and stand up shower. Would recommend you give the tub a quick clean if you’re gonna use the jets. They also give you an obscene amount of towels but it’s better more than less 😆 Overall good stay. It is a pet friendly hotel so I reckon depending on when you stay, you might have some pups barking out your room might smell a bit though we were fine as they didn’t have any.

Yelp
We rented 2 of the bungalos and they were super adorable! The staff went out of their way to make my birthday girls happy. This place is definitely run with love. Great stay!

Yelp
The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the place is well kept. It's a clearly very old property that they make a great effort to keep clean and tidy - huge points for that! The cleaning ladies were also very friendly, and the room was well-cleaned. There were some mild smells coming from the shower curtain and some items could be upgraded, docking 1 star for those. Loved the cute touches like the towel animals and the folded fan toilet paper! They have lots of amenities like free nightly movies with popcorn, breakfast from a local pastry shop, and offer discounts at a few local restaurants and candy shops. There are beach toys for kids and I spotted a sauna as well. Would definitely stay again!

Yelp
I would have given them 3 stars if 1) there was hot water in the shower (brrr) 2) there were better pillows (Costco has cheap ones that are better than what we got) 3) the drunks that yelled and screamed next door at 2:37 in the morning hadn't woken us up (the front desk goes home at 9pm so there is no one to call to get them to be quiet. When they were there, the ladies at the front desk were super nice . Also, the bed was comfy and it was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave. Another downside: even if your room is ready, they will charge you an extra fee if you arrive before 2pm. This was a first for us!

Yelp
One night stay for my daughter and I. Room was clean and up to date. Beds were ok, could have been more comfy. Staff was friendly. Walls a little thin, could hear the TV in room next door. Loved the proximity to the beach and promenade with all its attractions and restaurants. The grounds of the inn were cute and welcoming with the picnic area and lawn activities. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Yelp
Stayed here for corgi beach weekend in Seaside and we LOVED our time here! Firstly, the location cannot be beat, it's a block from the beach, and two blocks from city center, so we were able to walk to corgi beach day, and later to get ice cream/snacks/etc The staff is so kind and wonderful! Christen and Mia were so welcoming and kind. On our way out, Mia said that us leaving felt like her own family going home , so incredibly sweet. The office is also really nice, there are snacks, an old timer popcorn machine, and a coffee bar, and a wall of dvds and games for the kids. The room itself was large and very clean. We had two very comfortable queen beds and a lovely jetted tub and shower. Beautiful mid century modern dinette set, mini fridge and microwave. Our pup was treated like a princess, everyone was so excited to welcome her and they gave us an adorable dog goodie bag for her with bowls, bags, and towels just for her. We can't wait to come back to Hillcrest, it truly felt like our home away from home!

Yelp
We wanted to love this place because it's a block from the beach, it's dog friendly, and fairly affordable. Unfortunately we had two staff occurrences that just rubbed us the wrong way so I'm not sure Id stay again. First thing to mention-- when we checked in, our friend (who was not staying there) was with us and had mentioned "you would think you had rooms above you with the amount of creaking and foot noise" once we got to our room. This was at like 3:00pm in the middle of the day--we were on the second floor (no floors above). My boyfriend, our 20 pound dog and I went to the beach to watch the sunset, got home at 9:10pm. We got back in time when it was still light out so we didn't have to walk back in the dark. We took turns using the restroom, washing the sand from our feet and legs, brushing our teeth and dressing down as soon as we got home. By 9:30 we were in bed and had a movie turned on. At 9:35pm someone knocked on our door. My boyfriend, in his boxers, answered and it was the front office staff. "Hello I just wanted to come remind you guys that quiet hours start at 10pm and it's now a little after 9:30 so it's time for you guys to start settling down for the night." (Like we're a pack of degenerate teenagers). My boyfriend responded "we're basically naked and been in bed for the past five minutes since getting home after 9pm and settling in so what's wrong, tv or the dog?" She responded "no it's the stomping around (complaint from below)...." So we can't take 20 minutes to get ready for bed without being harassed I guess? It's on thing if we were purposely stomping around and being inconsiderate but we were both completely thrown off and didn't like the way it was being explained to us. Don't put 200+ pound adults on the 2nd floor of an old creaky motel if the building is that sensitive. The next day I get a phone call at 9:30am while we're cleaning up and packing to check out and I instantly think "what now". It was the office asking "if we really wanted house keeping since we're checking out today." And I responded "we're packing up now, we didn't put a request in." And she says "there's a sign hanging on your door for it." And I said "there is?" And I poke my head out, no sign and she instantly responds "sorry about that it looks like it's the room next to you!" (Our room is upstairs across from the office so she saw me peak out). They also don't accept ESA credentials-- not a huge deal at $15 a night but there's other locations in Seaside that will honor them.

Melissa A.

Yelp
The staff there was amazing. They even called me when we had expensive items left behind and we're more than willing to ship them to us. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. The cottage was adorable and perfect for our family. My only complaint was the Wi-Fi, but then again, it forced our children to spend time with us instead of on devices lol

Andrea W.

Yelp
Been coming to Hillcrest Inn for about 20 years. Love the place and people...definitely would recommend.

Phelix G.

Yelp
My fiancé and I stayed here in mid August, we showed up without booking a room prior and miraculously they had a few options for us! We chose the spa room and couldn't have been happier with the kindness and respect of the staff we encountered at Hillcrest Inn! Obviously the building is old, but it was cleaned well, our housekeeper left us a sweet note, and overall we loved our experience here! We will definitely be back :)

Patrick M.

Yelp
Ruth the manager was amazing. Booking.com screwed up and failed to put in the notes that we need first floor, and that we have a dog. Ruth called them and went after them for us. Then she fixed the problem. We have a room that works, and we are thrilled. They are so nice. If you like supporting small businesses, this is the best. They will have all my business from here on.

Brian L.

Yelp
Amazing place, huge in room spa tub; great getaway, affordable. I cannot put into words how amazing the staff was; especially Ruth, one of the nicest and genuinely caring people I have met in my life. The place was very clean and inviting, and Ruth was a delight to talk to and she went out of her way to get medicine for my girlfriends upset stomach; actually going to the store, at night in the rain to pick it up and politely declining payment payment. I recommend this wholeheartedly.

Skye P.

Yelp
This was an adorable little accommodation. There was a dust bunny on the floor but that's not a huge deal. It's in walking distance to a lot of things including the beach and you get a discount at some near by restaurants if you mention you're staying there. The staff were all so great. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Frankie G.

Yelp
We've stayed here several times over the years; this is our CHOSEN location to stay in Seaside. We had a very comfortable room with a fireplace. The location of this hotel is perfect for us. Most of all, the reception when we arrived was very homey and warm. Ruth was very helpful and checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. The weather in Seaside, that week, was very bleak...and many businesses were closed, but it was nice to come back to our room to a nice fireplace, peace and quiet.

Dianne M.

Yelp
First off don't deal with Ashley at this property. She is extremely rude and will hang up on you when you ask a question or ask about the steep stairs. She also cancelled our reservation on the day we were coming for a memorial spreading of ashes at the beach. This is not a business I recommend to anyone. I hope no one has to deal with her. I had to give a 1 star rating but I wish I could give a negative star.

Yelp
Stayed here a couple weeks ago with my family and a friend. We stayed in one of the two bedroom cottages. The inn is about two short blocks from the beach and aquarium. Very close to the promenade as well. We absolutely loved staying here. The inn was very nostalgic for us. With the available dvd selection, family games, treats, tea and coffee, it reminded of us of places we stayed in as a kid. So charming and comfortable, and overall great value! Additionally, they went above and beyond for us when my daughter forgot her portable DVD player in the cottage. We called them and they said they found it and would ship it to us! We really weren't expecting that and my daughter was thrilled. Then, once the DVD player arrived back home, we opened the box to find stickers included for the kids! Just wonderful all around. Thank you Hillcrest Inn! We'll definitely return!

Yelp
I had a great stay at the Hillcrest Inn! I was in town for the Great Columbia Crossing 10K and stayed three nights. The staff was super friendly both over the phone when I made the reservation and in person as I checked in. The room was super clean, I mean, like I had done it myself! The bathrooms have full size tubs (I've heard that some have Jacuzzi tubs...my master bedroom had a full size tub). Which was also super clean and, hard to believe on the Oregon coast, no mildew! So this place gets 5 stars for cleanliness (and I should know, I have over 700 nights in Marriott properties alone!). Hot water is important to me and my room had plenty of it, but for safety, it would not get 'too' hot. Plenty hot for a shower, but no one will get burned by it. Which says something about their attention to detail. Beds were comfortable, sheets were in good shape, pillows were just right. I slept great every night. I LOVED the old school metal key with the diamond shaped plastic 'thing' on the key ring! Brought back good memories of other hotels up and down the Cali and Oregon coast I'd stayed in years ago. Terrific service and terrific value! I'll be back for the Great Columbia Crossing in 2022 and will stay here again. Ruth is awesome, the place feels peaceful, and it's great to support these small businesses. Don't hesitate to stay! And to the person who could not figure out how to use the blankets...just pull. The top blanket is folded over on itself in about three layers at the bottom of the bed, so just grasp the front edge of the blanket between your thumb and forefinger and pull on on it a little and it will unfold and extend alllll the way up to the pillows. Easy!

Yelp
Horrible conditions is how to describe Hill crest Inn, and outdated as well as worn out. But beyond that, the room had a broken shower which did not work, the mattress was worn lumpy and pasrT its usefulness, the cloth chair was filthy and unusable, the grounds were meager, the breakfast was minimal, the staff was not friendly, the pricing was too high, the best advice is to stay at another hotel

Tess W.

Yelp
If I could give this place more stars I would. This place is pet friendly!!! Super accommodating and friendly staff. A ton of little amenities. Board games, dvds, dry sauna, beach towels, beach toys, dog dish and list of dog friendly businesses in town, book library, and a few more I am forgetting. I love Seaside and I will definitely return and definitely stay here again!!!! Stayed in a room that had a jacuzzi tub which was fantastic after the camping my friend and I had been doing. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

Conni C.

Yelp
I booked 2 nights there and had to cancel. I was told since I booked through Expedia that I had to go through them. Expedia is another problem. The woman who answered the phone basically laughed at me because I should have known that I had to cancel through Expedia. I got charged for one night because I didn't cancel a week in advance. She wasn't very understanding. I have decided I won't be staying there. Ever.

Whitnye W.

Yelp
The Hillcrest is a pet friendly inn one block from the beach and prom in Seaside,OR. The staff is exceptional, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable! The room we stayed in had a jacuzzi right next to the bed, a giant shower in the bathroom and a gas fireplace below the TV. They even had a bowl and towel for our dogs in the room! What made our stay so wonderful was not only did congratulate us on our engagement on the side of their building. They also left us a bottle of wine, and chocolates at our door when we came back from breakfast. They are very generous and accommodating to their guests! I recommend this motel to anyone! Very affordable and clean! Zach & Whitnye will be back for another stay soon! Thanks again Hillcrest Inn for a wonderful stay!

Yelp
This was the worst motel experience we've ever had. We got a room for one night, the lady that checked us in smelled like she hadn't showered in weeks. Really off putting... that should have been our first red flag, because the rooms were just as dirty. Our 1 year old crawled on the room floor for less than 5 minutes and ended up with dirty knees and feet.. like black dirty (picture to show). The lights were flickering like they have some sort of electrical issues which was really annoying and worrisome. The curtains were half falling off the walls. The blankets on the beds only go half way up, otherwise you're basically sleeping with a sheet. The stairs are steep and creak and honestly made me question if they are study enough to handle the traffic. Nobody there looked friendly when it came to their employees. They offered "pastries and coffee" as their complimentary breakfast.. but all they had was old granola bars and some instant oatmeal. But none of this was the worst of it... we called and asked for the manager and Ruth called us back with an attitude to show. Clearly this woman is incapable of handling any criticism and obviously has her own personal issues. But she told us that since we didn't tell her the night before that she wouldn't do anything to help us and that since we were too uncomfortable to tell her (in the midst of trying to celebrate our daughters first birthday) that it was our fault and since we chose not to spend our time trying to go get another room or have them come clean ours that night. I'm sorry.. but typically when you rent a room for a night, it's supposed to be CLEAN... BEFORE you go inside. And if you make someone "uncomfortable" as a business, how is that the paying customers fault? We're the ones that are the reason you have a job. Obviously given the managers off putting scent and neglect of her own hygiene just shows in her standard of the cleanliness of their rooms... There is no standard for her. Also, she wouldn't even let me speak on the phone, kept talking over me and refused to be nice or even listen without an attitude. I honestly hope nobody ever has a similar experience because it was so awful and it's sad that there are such horrible people working in that atmosphere. Thankfully we were able to brush it off and still enjoy our daughters first birthday. I'd avoid this place at all costs though, we'd definitely never be back.

Steve S.

Yelp
Stayed two nights with Ruth and staff. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms are older but very clean and comfortable. Next trip to Seaside Ill be staying at the Hillcrest. Thank you.

Karen O.

Yelp
We got there and saw bugs in our refrigerator. The lady came and cleaned it out, saying they would replace the fridge tomorrow. I asked if they had roaches, she said no. There was dog food left from the previous people that stayed there still in the room. We left to enjoy the Prom and when we came back there were roaches on the counter in the Kitchen. We immediately left and stayed somewhere else. Very displeased with these accommodations.

S R.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay for an evening and stayed in one of their cottages. Very clean and comfortable and nicely furnished for a multi night stay. Staff is very friendly and enjoyable, especially Ruth, a military veteran. Close to spectacular beach, boardwalk and downtown shops and restaurants. A nice change to a corporate run hotel.

Joan W.

Yelp
First time staying here. Lovely older place. Great family run option close to everything, but far enough to be quiet.

Paula G.

Yelp
There may be more updated Inns nearby but there is no better innkeeper than Ruth- the real reason we come back year after year! True customer service.

Amy M.

Yelp
Stayed July 3-6th. Had a very comfortable stay. Staff was accommodating and helpful. We brought our pups and they even got their own welcome kit with food dish and scoop bags and towel. We be back again

Dani D.

Yelp
Love this place. Half block from the beach. Delightful, friendly staff. Clean, with warm, homey feel. Rained in? Borrow a board game or video. Kitchenettes available. Would DEFINITELY stay again.

Michelle S.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I truly loved this place. Please take note that it is not elegant and rich, but it is homey, comfortable, and safe. Some perks: endless coffee when the office is open, the nicest hosts (Ruth and Don) I've come across, firewood and fire-starting kit for $5.00, a dvd library, a game library, books, Little Debbies for a breakfast snack, and pretty darn good prices for the area. Do bring your own conditioner because the conditioned shampoo they provide isn't enough for wind damaged beach hair. :) They're also as accommodating with check-in and check-out times as their own schedules allow. This is an incredibly lovely hotel and we got the number to stay again. We felt so safe and welcome and cozy and we had such a good time.

Dawn J.

Yelp
We came her for my birthday weekend, my husband booked cause of the jetted tube, cause I love my baths. But this place is amazing! Yes it may not be your 5* hotel, that's up to date and beautiful, but the staff is amazing, they are out all day walking around, even 1 guy is out at night making sure everything is ok. The cleaning is amazing. I'm a housekeeping supervisor at a casino resort and these rooms are clean. When u check in, they walk u to your room, make sure everything is ok for you. They offer snacks, popcorn, coffee in the lobby. They have kid toys in the grass part, sand toys/towels/charis/ wagons, for you to take to the beach. It's a block away from the beach and aquarium, which is amazing. They are grills for you to use, dvd player w movies to borrow,, they have EVERYTHING! Let keep this place open! This is the old style mom and pop hotel that we all need more of. We will be back next year.

Mike D.

Yelp
My family and close friends have visited the Hillcrest Inn every Memorial Day Weekend since 1999. We've not stayed anywhere else in Seaside and I can't imagine we ever will. Hillcrest Inn is a gem. The staff is friendly and Jay the Head Hillcrest-acean always greets us by name. Every year! Greet me by name and you are guaranteed repeat business from me. There are beach toys, beach blankets and beach towels to borrow. You're only a block from the beach and a couple blocks from Broadway St (Seaside's main drag). The prices? Don't get me started on the prices. You will not find a better value in Seaside. We always stay in a room with a bedroom (2 double beds) and a kitchen. Okay, truthfully I've not shopped around but I think what we pay is way under what they could charge and I feel like I'm getting the better end of the deal. Jay told me once he wants to have a place that's affordable to families. Mission Accomplished.

Jen D.

Yelp
Here's the deal: when you pay less than $100 for a (basically) beach front hotel in Seaside on a Saturday when the weather is 86 degrees outside, your expectations are pretty low of the hotel itself. And these low expectations were blown out of the water! I don't think in my professional or personal life, I've met people friendlier than the staff here. They gave us a tour, free use of their charcoal grills, the rooms were exceptionally clean, they made friends with my kiddos, the front desk lady offered me use of her personal sunscreen when I realized I forgot mine, they stored our milk in their fridge in the back just to make sure it didn't get too warm, they let us park our cars there even after we checked out on Sunday, they had beach toys and kids bikes for us to take to the beach for free, gave us discounts on restaurants in town, and the list just goes on. The rooms were totally great, the beds were comfy. My dad rented a room as well and he had a small swimming pool sized jacuzzi in the middle of this room. Located two blocks from the beach and two blocks from the downtown strip, it was perfectly located to access all the fun spots of Seaside. Definite win for a quick beach vacation.

Jamie G.

Yelp
If you're looking for a GREAT, affordable, fun place to stay, THIS is it! While the Inn has every accommodation possible, I'd think the best part of your stay would be the people who work here. If you can imagine what fairy dust looks like, you'll understand the picture I'm trying to draw. Some people just have that effervescent quality to them, they spread a kind of happy, bubbly, glow of sweet charm which dusts the entire place. Every person they spoke to had a lighter step just because of a kind word, or deed, provided by these caretakers of our vacation. The Inn has every amenity I could imagine you'd need for a stay at the beach: Shovels for beach fire building, shovels and toys for sand castle making, beach blankets, and even beach towels. You need s'mores stuff? They've got that too. The room was comfortable and not overcrowded. The unit we stayed in had two bedrooms and a kitchen, as well as a front room with cable television and a fireplace. Nothing on TV? No worries! Head on up to the office and grab yourself a movie off their FULLY stacked rack. Every genre seemed to be accounted for. There was plenty of parking, and even after we had checked out, we were able to leave our car in their parking area while we visited the shops of Seaside. If you can get away to the beach, THIS is the place to stay. Unless I get there first. :D

Stevie H.

Yelp
Adorable hotel so close to the beach and restaurants! Ruth, who runs the place is about as nice a person as they come...so welcoming and accommodating. Dog friendly which is a deal breaker for us because we take our pup everywhere, but they make sure to have rooms that do not allow pets to accommodate those with allergies. Recommend this place with 5 stars.

Jae H.

Yelp
There is a reason this near-waterfront location gets such high ratings, and it isn't for the decor. Starting with the cons, the room we stayed in was VERY dated, especially the baby blue bathtub and 70's looking furniture. The walls were thin, and when you have a family reunion going on in the Hillcrest's rental house next door, you should expect the sound of happy children from seven in the morning to eleven at night seeping into your room. I start with the negatives because one would expect, as many other reviews have stated, for the price of a room near the beach here you would expect this place to be less than stellar. And that's what we wanted. If we wanted five-star treatment, we would have paid through the nose for it. What we wanted was a comfortable place to stay while we spent most of our time exploring what Oregon's coast had to offer. Now, let me tell you that we got more than we wanted, and it was amazing. The Hillcrest Inn is more than an affordable room. It's a stay with your best friend at her childhood home, or a visit to your favorite aunt's house. You are welcomed into a home where someone set up the guest room just for you. The proprietors treat you like family from the moment they greet you at check in. We reserved a room with a kitchen area, and without seeing what it was stocked with, we were told if there was anything we needed that wasn't there (pots, pans, utensils, condiments) to ask them first in case there was something already available we could use. Need beach towels? They got them. Beach toys for my young son to play with in the sand? Got those, too. Ooh, you found a sand dollar? Let's get that washed up for you so it's clean for the rest of your trip! We left the Hillcrest ready to call the owners "aunty" and "uncle." This is a great family-oriented inn with convenient access to the beach, the aquarium, and fun shops. Reserve early, because rooms can fill up fast with return guests that already call this place "home away from home."

Alana K.

Yelp
This is a fantastic no-frills inn just a half block from the beach in Seaside. The accommodations are clean, basic, and affordable, but what really makes this place top notch is the staff. They are so warm and friendly, they will make you feel right at home. They are full of suggestions if you need them and are more than willing to go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. My only suggestion to them would be to serve something better in the lobby than hostess cakes as snacks, or forgo them altogether. Those things are unpalatable. (But I knew that even before I grabbed one from the basket and did so anyway despite my better judgment.)

Genna C.

Yelp
"Let's go!" he said. "I'll be home in a few minutes, let's pack a quick bag and head for a weekend in Seaside." "Um....okay....we don't have any other plans, so.....cool!" I told him. "Where should I call for a room?" "It's Seaside. In February. We'll have our pick of rooms," he said. I've been working on not researching everything. Being more spontaneous. Just going with the flow, as he says. So. I said fine, and started packing. [Insert hour and a half drive to Seaside.] BF: "what do you mean, no vacancy. It's Seaside, in February!" [I'm trying not to look smug. While thinking oh crap, how much are we going to have to pay for a room?] Turns out, there was a high school basketball tournament going on. Hello, families of the Pacific NW descending on Seaside. Enter: Hillcrest Inn. 1/2 a block from the beach and they have a few vacancies. This is either going to cost us dearly or be a total dive. How about....neither? What a pleasant surprise! Our room was quite affordable for a queen room, with a nice little couch sitting area. The decor was a bit dated in the room - floral bedspread, that kind of thing -- but absolutely immaculate. Clean clean clean. Fresh white sheets and soft towels that made me feel like we were staying somewhere much more upscale. The bed was super comfortable. The whole place has a nice charm to it and the location was great. The staff could not have been friendlier and were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Seaside. The only downs were really thin walls and ceilings/floor. I'd recommend 2nd floor for that reason. We had a lovely weekend and enjoyed our stay. We'll be back to the Hillcrest Inn.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to stay in Seaside. The first thing that drew me to this place was the prices. I don't think you can find much cheaper for a hotel so close to the beach, which is the second reason why I enjoy staying here. It's only a block away from the beach but yet it's still quiet. The room decor is a little dated but everything is still clean and in excellent working condition. It's a very cozy quiet place with wonderful service.

Yelp
Stayed at Hillcrest Inn for my mom's 80th birthday. There were 45 people in our group. We booked 3 of their cottages, each cottage has 2 rooms, a sofa bed, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The rooms had full size beds but the middle cottage had 2 twin size beds. The other people in our group booked individual rooms, no two rooms look alike, one room had a walk in shower instead of a tub, the other room had no kitchen but had an extra bed instead, one room had a jacuzzi bath tub. There are picnic tables and a grill you can use, they will even provide charcoals! Going to the beach? They have toys for the kids. Bonfire by the beach? They have blankets, skewers to use, and if you lose it, Ruth said it always finds its way back to them. I needed a birthday candle and Ruth was there to the rescue! Ruth and Don cooked 3 different appetizers for us. We had fried razor clam, crab puff, and one appetizer I can't remember coz it was too good. Where can you find host and hostesses like that. They both even joined us for breakfast and dinner! Everything is walking distance, to the beach, to Safeway, to town, also the outlet stores! If you want to go clamming, Don will provide everything except the license which you can get from Rite-aide. We didn't get to do this with him coz he starts really early in the morning. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place in Lincoln City. No regrets on my part!

Yelp
We loved this place. It is nothing fancy but the Inn managers are so wonderful. The room was quaint but clean and had everything we could need. They have a DVD library that you can borrow DVDs from. With 6 kids, this was the perfect family get away. We will definitely stay here again

Yelp
This was a great hotel that we stayed in last Saturday. Ruth and Cindi were so nice and accommodating. They had cookies and drinks and games and even dvds you could take to eat, play or watch. Would definitely stay there again if given the opportunity. I cannot say enough about the service there. It was definitely not just top notch but a notch above that. We got a jacuzzi tub and those jets were wonderful after a day of walking. The location is right by the beach and downtown. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Yelp
Seaside is a fun town and the Inn is located in a great location. We stayed two nights in a room right over the office with two rooms and three queen beds. The motel is showing its age, but the staff is wonderful. Unfortunately there was a family reunion in the common area below and it was quite noisy each night until after 11. I'm not sure that you can blame the Inn, but it would have helped the noise level if the room's windows were double pane instead of old single pane or signs indicating a quiet area after 10 p.m.

Yelp
So my partner his mom and I stumbled across this place just walking by. I got to say before we even checked in, we didn't even know if we were going to stay the night in Seaside I ALREADY knew from talking with Ruth the extremely AWESOME and helpful lady working here I would recommend this place to everyone! In fact checking in she made us fell like family! So personable, so nice, helpful and extremely welcoming. This little gem offers so much at an affordable price. A block from beach and to all shopping but coming back to your room also had that escape from everything feel same time. Coming from someone who works in a 5 star fine dining place, I worked at Nordstrom and other very High end places that customer service is crucial I cant express how great Ruth made us feel here. We are definitely without a doubt coming back to stay in a room with a fireplace and kitchen!

Yelp
This is a great place for a family to stay! Ruth and Don are fantastic hosts. Their snacks, movies, conversations, tips for local day excursions and genuine kindness helped to make this a great vacation. We purchased an out of state clamming license for $17 @ Rite Aid, Don equipped us with the clam digger and gave us a tutorial. We filled our limit in less than an hour. Then he taught us how to clean them. And Ruth gave us tips and tricks for cooking and freezing them. We have them in our cooler with ice packs to eat when we get home. Ruth had great advice in day trips. Tide pools, the beaches, Tillamook factory, and good places to eat. Seaside and the Northern coast is wonderful!!

Yelp
Love, love, love this place! Ruth is really running a fabulous little place here! She had rooms available at the last minute at a reasonable price. Cute, clean room, one block from the beach! Bed and pillows are super comfy. Organic hand soap. Muffins and coffee in the morning. Fairly quiet. Accepts pets! Will definitely be staying here again!

Yelp
My niece and I stayed her over the summer. Jay was extremely helpful with a last minute reservation. He even made sure that my niece had bubble bath and scrubber in her favorite color waiting for us when we checked in! The inn is a short walk to the beach on a dead end street. They have beach blankets, towels, and beach toys for you to borrow. Arcades, shops, restaurants and aquarium are all steps away. It's a fabulous family friendly inn. I would definitely stay here again.
