stayed here with a few other people for a birthday weekend. it was terrible. rooms were awful. no one stayed in the office if needed. you had to call anytime you needed something. room had no wash clothes in it. fridge was frozen over to the point it was barely even cooling. AC struggled to cool the room. the cover was barely holding on and it looked not maintained at all. had someone come up and clean the toilet because it was not cleaned properly. you have to pay $10/day for the amount of days you are staying for parking. if you leave and lose your spot, that’s it. you have to pay street parking or a parking lot near them that also charge per day. parking lot is maybe 7 spots and the lines are so close together so only compact cars barely fit. only giving the location 2 stars for the fact it’s a short walk to the boardwalk. would not stay here again or recommend.

I recently stayed at the Seaside Sand Inn Motel and had a pleasant experience. The location is definitely one of its strongest points—just a short walk to the beach, with plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay close to the ocean. The room itself was simple but clean, with all the basics you’d expect: comfortable bed, fresh linens, and working air conditioning. While the décor is a bit dated, it had a cozy, beach-town feel. Housekeeping did a good job of keeping things tidy during my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, always available to answer questions or recommend local spots. Parking was convenient, which made it easy to come and go. Overall, the Seaside Sand Inn Motel is a solid choice for travelers looking for an affordable, no-frills place by the beach. I’d recommend it to anyone who values location and convenience.

This place is a secret gem! Literally needed 1 night and stumbled upon it. Family of 4 last minute booking and the hotel is clean and nicely decorated. Artsy painting on the wall ...which caught my attention immediately! It was perfect for our budget. The front desk and management were super accommodating and made sure all of our needs were met. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a nice place, budget and family friendly for Seaside Heights!

Google
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. My room was clean, and comfortable with everything I needed. The location was perfect! Within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

What an absolute nightmare. We booked this hotel for 2 nights - the website promoted a "boutique" hotel and the rooms looked inviting. In reality, the only part that is boutique is that it's small, and the rooms are garbage. The first thing I noticed was the hole in the picture on the opposite side of the wall. Upon walking into the bathroom you'll find mold by the shower and in the corners. The beds only had a bedsheet on them and when we asked for a blanket we got one with cigarette burns in it. (should also note that when my husband went to ask, the guy working there was smoking weed IN the office) We asked for more towels but never got them. The website also says there's a fridge in the room (there wasn't) - when I went to the office they said someone on the staff would get one for us. We returned to a fridge sitting in front of our door, which my husband had to install. Finally, there were ants crawling around the bathroom sink and toilet. I about lost my mind. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I don't have high expectations for Seaside, but I do think if the website is going to advertise a cool, sleek room then you should deliver on that.

Location: Amazingly close to the boardwalk Service/Staff: Fantastic! Such great people behind the scenes ✨ My Advice: Plan ahead people - • parking pass 🅿️ is 10.00 per day, • beach pass is 13.00 🏝️ per person, • there are events on the boardwalk ! We got to see fireworks 💥 - no do not ask the staff - I suggest going to the informational booth to the left of the nearest entrance on the boardwalk Food: everything is close - corner store - Montes Cafe (Mexican food) - pizzeria - Mila's- (breakfast) (If you want to take a walk go all the way down to the right when facing the boardwalk and get some good seafood at the stands) 🦀🦐🦞

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The check-in process was quick and smooth. The location was perfect, close to everything I needed, with great restaurants and shops nearby. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep.

Google
Be careful on this place. All the pictures on their website look nice but it must have been from right after they renovated and cleaned the rooms. First of all, when arriving, there was no one at the front desk so I had to call them to come over and help. This happened at least 3 more times when I needed some customer service. Second, rooms are filthy and not maintained at all. Upon walking in, they smell of mold and wetness. Ceilings have mold spots all over, bedside lights don't work, sink does not drain and ends up filling up, there was hair all over a brand new roll of toilet paper, shower head is broken and spews water in different directions, they gave 3 bottles of lotion and not a single bottle of soap or body wash, fridge and microwave are not clean, and there were cigarette holes in the sheets. At night, there was a group of people outside making way too much noise at around 1-2am and there's no staff to control the situation. Parking is too tight to comfortably fit and there's absolutely not enough spots for the number of rooms. Online they market this place as a "luxurious" stay with beautiful images and glorified reviews. The reviews are 100% fabricated and hold 0 merit. I felt bad for my family whom I booked 2 rooms for thinking we got a great place to stay so close to the beach. That's the only positive about this place is how close it is to the boardwalk and beach. We paid 320 for 2 rooms. If we paid at most 100 for each room, then I'd be a bit less upset as the location is fantastic, but considering all the negative aspects, I would absolutely not return or recommend this place to anyone. The workers are very friendly, but doesn't seem like the management cares about the actual quality of their business.

Yelp
This was our first time staying here and will definitely be back next time we are in seaside heights. We had a small issue when we got into our room but the front desk lady came quickly and got it resolved and was very nice and apologetic. Rooms are updated and have a large smart TV. The only "negative" thing I could say is parking is very small and limited so be prepared to pay for street parking or there is a large parking lot next door that you have to pay for but if you let the parking attendant know your staying at the hotel you might get a discount.

Yelp
This place is a total ripoff. The charge me 20 a night for parking 20 dollars for checking inn2 hours early . The people at the desk are not polite. The general feel of this place is dirty

M S.

Yelp
Got to hotel, there was no parking, I asked the front desk person about parking and he told me that there are 2 spots but I couldn't park there because I would block a car of a guest who checked out and they won't be able to get out because I would block them, so the front desk person suggested I park in parking lot across the street for $20 till night and then park in hotel parking if there were spots - I had no choice and did that. Got to the room and needless to say, as pictures show - there's mold ceiling is covered in mold, also there's mold in shower. There were no towels, no soap. I went down to front desk to get some towels and perhaps get a different room, but the doors were locked to front desk - there was nobody there. I called the number posted on the door to ask for some towels and soap, they told me that they would bring some over - it took 2 hours and there was no soap, just towels... I understand that this is a 2 star motel, but putting guests up in a room with mold - really? Definitely NOT a place I would recommend! Overpriced for sure. The staff was nice though, but that's about it.

Yelp
Sandy and dirty and told the Front Desk which was staffed by a college student, who just jotted down our room number and said she would "let the a manager know." It was the Last availability for a two rooms with a pet premium to pay and it was 11pm when we arrived and just wanted to get the kids and dog settled in a place but, it was not ideal. It smelled and was so uncomfortable we couldn't wait to leave in the morning. The two beds were small and the pullout bed was a joke - it was right across from One of the beds so you couldn't pull it all the way down and had to sleep diagonally in a triangle of a bed with Sandy gross sheets.. And the air condition smelled and was noisy! We didn't even get to use the beach we wanted to leave right after we woke and get breakfast out.

Yelp
Horrible. I will never ever come back here and I would never ever recommend it to anybody. They basically had no Wi-Fi which meant no TV. We were given one washcloth for two of us no hand towel and just a couple of bath towels. They were as helpful as they could be at the front desk, but this kind of hotel Needs better Wi-Fi service if they operate correctly. I was very disappointed and left a day early. I don't think I'll be around here anytime soon and I think I deserve some type of refund because I couldn't do or have what I figured any hotel or motel should have as the normal, especially when it says it in their ad.

Yelp
Save your money. The checkin is already pretty late, and our room wasn't ready. Then we were given another room that was obviously not finished being cleaned. We got this place for the location, but the customer service was bad. The first girl we talked to when I paid for parking was nice, but when the night crew came in, the clerk wasn't very friendly at alll. Also, these rooms look somewhat modern,, but there's not much space to hang anything. There was only one bar above the desk that's probably about 48" long. Other than that, no closet and no hooks or racks in the bathroom. Kind of weird since it's by the beach where you'd need to dry things out. Location is great, but don't expect great service. I will say the 10.00/day for parking is very convenient, and because our room wasn't ready on time, the daytime clerk extended our checkout to noon. I appreciate the attempt at retainment, but wow I was surprised at the level of cleanliness. If I didn't already book through an app, I would have went elsewhere.

Yelp
My family had a trip planned to Seaside Sands Inn at the end of August. Unfortunately, due to extreme flooding in our hometown, the airport was shut down, and we were unable to catch our flight to New Jersey. I called the hotel right away to explain to them the severity of the situation, and that there was no way that we would get to our destination in time. We considered driving to NJ and adjusting our reservation, but the owner of the hotel did not respond to us in a timely manner; and therefore, we were concerned to leave town with no guaranteed place to stay. When we finally were able to talk to the manager, she was very understanding of the situation, but she said that her superior would not allow us to adjust our reservation, cancel and refund us for our reservation, or credit us for a stay in the future. I understood that the Inn has a cancellation policy; however, Michigan was under a STATE OF EMERGENCY due to the flooding, and it would have been the KIND thing to do to work with us as a family to come up with a compromise. Every other company (both big and small), was understanding of the situation and offered us a refund with no issues. They expressed their concern for our state that was in crisis due to the extreme weather, and invited us back in the future. I wish Seaside Sands Inn would have done the same. From reading the other reviews now, it sounds like the owner cares more about the money than the actual business. What a shame!

Yelp
Close to the beach but wasn't clean. When we arrived the rooms door we were in was cracked open and the AC was blasting so there was condensation on the ceiling dripping onto the bed for hours. The sheets on the bed had stains, i literally went out and bought new sheets and a blanket because i wasn't using what they left on the bed. There was an outlet behind the bed which was coming out of the wall with wires ( totally a fire hazard ) so the outlet on the nightstands didn't even work. The shower door wouldn't close completely so the floor was soaked afterwards. There was a door in the room blocked by a chair that was locked. Website also said free limited parking but had to pay $10 to park anyway. Never will stay here again! If i could leave no stars I would.

Yelp
I get it, I read the reviews before booking. They were awful. But this place is the cheapest and closest to the boardwalk for 4th of July. We did it anyway There was not one thing that wasn't broken. We got a 2 bedroom "deluxe" unit for 5 adults 3 kids. All the mattresses were slanted, sounded like they were found in the dumpster. Shower curtains fell on me when I opened them. Barely any room to get to the shower. The hot water was on the cold water side of the handle. Almost burned the kids thinking I turned the cold water on. Dont flush the toilet because boiling hot water comes out of the shower. For the "deluxe " 2 bedroom they had A tv in one room but not the other. A fridge/ microwave in the other room but not in the other. One bathroom that was near the bed of the other room so the person sleeping can hear all the toilet noise. All the blonds were broken and the windows had no screens. Best part - the tv said "no signal" and when we came in the hdmi cord wasn't even plugged in. The front desk guy said he will help set it up and never came. Dirtiest, ugliest, most worn down motel/inn I have ever been in. End of the night there was a cop chase looking for 3 people right in the street. It was very entertaining.

Yelp
Even though it was extremely expensive, it was the best stay. I came from upstate NY for vacation and reserved a room at a different place and it was the worst at the other hotel and I saw #seasidesandsinn too see if they had any rooms available for 1 night so we could enjoy our vacation that we wasted 4 nights on and the women was so polite and gave me a good discount for the night (Saturday) and the rooms were perfect cozy and Relaxing, we got to do most of what we came on vacation done. That's now my go to hotel when we go on vacation.

Melissa E.

Yelp
Upon arrival, we were told and singed off on that we had 10 minutes to check the room for a refund. We walked into our room and instantly saw dirty wash clothes in the shower. After passing on our shower, we decided to take a nap. once we pulled the covers down, we discovered an abundance of dirt and stains from who knows what. We instantly asked for new sheets and the employee got them, threw them onto the DIRTY sheets and said "here, it should all be here" then WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM! On top of that, we looked around and saw a miniature baby doll on top of the door frame starting at the bed. On that note, we left WITHOUT THE REFUND and the manager saying the rooms are "clean, immaculate, and cleaned daily" even though we have pictures that show otherwise. Apparently we have different versions of "clean". In all seriousness though, would not recommend unless you don't mind sleeping in dirt and paying to make your own bed.

Robyn S.

Yelp
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. After my significant other and I checked in, we proceeded to room 102. Upon arrival, we stripped the beds. While doing so, we found not only copious amounts of sand, dust, hair, pubes, a nail, mysterious yellow nasty, crusy stains, but also several blood stains on the sheets. Under the mattress was absolutely filthy as well with garbage, a used dab pen, and more. The shower had pubes and hair, the mirror was dirty, it was gross. They have a 10 minute policy upon check in, so we took our photos and went back to the front desk. We were there less than 10 minutes. They then proceeded to tell us that the cleaning people did not clean the room and left 30 minutes ago. We asked for a different room and were told there were none, so we said that we were just going to leave and wanted a refund (around $150 for the 1 night we were going to stay). That's when the person at the front desk said that, even though it wasn't his job, he would clean the room for us. We said we just wanted a refund, as we were highly grossed out and disappointed. They called their manager and the owner who proceeded to say absolutely no refund. The person at the front desk said that we were welcome to speak to the manager who would be there at 9pm. We waited around until then, trying to last minute, at 8pm, find a place to sleep. While waiting for the manager, the person at the front desk called the owner several times and dodged every single one of his calls. When the manager arrived, Akira, they told us that they didn't have access to give us a refund, and since the owner was denying any means of contact, they gave us their personal cell. They told us they would clean the room, to which we said again that we would rather just leave. We were told by the manager that the owner would be in the following day and that if we had any issues that we could call her and that we should just dispute the money. We called again, and they proceeded to then say that (if we left a review), they would contact their lawyers for defamation and that we were there for over 30 minutes so no refund whatsoever. The following day, we called again, and told by a different person at the front desk that we would be contacted and called back, to which there was none. We still haven't gotten our money back. We were highly dissatisfied and disgusted with the room, the service, and the experience. Do not waste your money at this place.

Brenda J.

Yelp
Great location and very easy to access. Looks new and modern. Would definitely stay here again sometime.

Yelp
this was probably one of the nicest hotels i've stayed at in seaside so far the staff were amazing! and so were the rooms. will be staying here again

Jaz G.

Yelp
Clean rooms and location was perfect! Staff was welcoming and very accommodating. Can't wait for next years stay!

Elka S.

Yelp
Worst hotel on earth. DO NOT STAY HERE. The floor was filthy and full of sand, had not been washed from the previous guests. The beds were broken and creaked and you could hear the springs squealing all night. The room was bare. ZERO amenities. The fridge froze the food, the windows had no screens, the tissue box was empty. The toilet paper holder was broken and the toilet paper roll kept falling on the dirty floor (and into the toilet). We were too afraid to take a shower or touch anything. Plus, they added a $20 parking fee. The lot was so narrow and tight, that I worried all night that my car would be dented when anyone else tried to leave the parking lot. If you add the $20, I could have gone to a bit more expensive place that would have been normal and clean. Very loud neighborhood where people sat outside and screamed all night. Many of the guests stay there in between nights in jail. My kids were afraid and pushed the dresser against the door to barricade the door. I wish I read the reviews before I came. Seems like most people leave without staying here and lose their money. The hotel never has to improve and can just get free money this way. SAVE YOURSELF HEARTACHE AND MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE.

Yelp
This was the most disgusting dump I have ever set foot in. It was so atrocious that I walked around the corner and booked a room at another motel. When I told the guy at the front desk I wasn't staying there he simply took the room keys and said goodbye. Clearly this happens pretty frequently. Half of the curtains were missing, there was a suspicious stain on the floor, and the toilet was running non stop. I was afraid to touch anything.

Taylor S.

Yelp
This was my first time staying at Seaside. The room was still absolutely filthy, the lady at the desk charged us more money for a third person even though there was two double beds. (That could fit four people total) We (2 our of 4) went out for the night and went to come back and our key did not even work. I tried calling this lady, knocking on the door... everything. The customer service was not alright and our stay was worse. I do not recommend this place at all and I will never return. I can understand why it's "so cheap". I hope they get their crap together and become an establishment that gets more than two stars on a review site.

David D.

Yelp
I asked for a refund and they refused. Supposedly you get 10 min to check the room out in case you want to refuse but that's a lie. Room was refused by the man that was before me and she offered me the same room. She lied to me and said she couldn't give me a refund because I booked thru Expedia. But when I called Expedia they had to call her to get the refund so she lied again. They charge you $20 for parking on top of that. Worst place I ever been to and I didn't even stay there I booked a room somewhere else.

Sarah L.

Yelp
This place was a shithole ... literally, there was poop on the walls. Guy at the front desk was nice but there was stains and holes and mold all over the walls and ceiling. Dont go here, we refused to even walk around the room without shoes on, even bought shoes to wear in the shower!

AJ L.

Yelp
Literally the worst place I have ever stayed at and I've been to third world countries and Alabama.

Yelp
There are plenty of decent, even good motels in Seaside. This is not one of them. This place needs work, and lot of help. I have never felt so swindled before. The reviews and website are not the reality of this place, and unfrotunately my wife and I didn't find this out until we got there. After staying there for about 8hrs, we went to the front desk and told them due to the conditions of this motel/room, would be leaving. We offered to pay for the "night" we spent, and would appreciate a refund. Immediately they became defensive, stating that our credit card has been charged and there was nothing they could do about it. Then they demanded that the room was indeed clean and they have not received complaints from any one else. We were not going to take this as an acceptable answer. So we left and found another place in the morning to continue our stay. Do yourself a favor, find another place.

Kaitlyn H.

Yelp
honestly so disappointed walked in to find shit on the walls and mold on the ceiling. asked if we could change our room and was told that there are no more available rooms. he said he would have someone go in and clean it and he never did. furthermore, now our poor friend lando is dead and gay. wish i was kidding. also sand in the sheets and bugs in the bathroom.

Rob B.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting rooms, beds, and bathrooms. I've never complained about a hotel until now and I think it's because this hotel needs to be reported to the board of health. Our beds are covered in very visible stains, some of which look very much like semen. The cigarette burns on the sheets actually don't even bother me because I know those stains are at least sanitary. I went down to the front desk to request a new pair of sheets, and the guy was unapologetic and could only come up with one replacement sheet for me, which also had cigarette burns in it. We also had to change a broken light bulb, there was no toilet paper, and there are some questionable brown smudges in the bathroom. In summary, stay here only if you bring all of your own sheets and you don't spend much time in the room. The location is good.

Derek D.

Yelp
The front desk staff was a treat for the eyes and ears! The location was perfect for spending a wild night on the town. The rooms were very clean, and the plumbing worked perfectly. If you are in need of any recreational drugs (coke, weed, heroin, or especially meth) the front desk staff will help you find it. Just don't ask them for a toothbrush.

Krystina P.

Yelp
Its actually a Shame the location is so ideal, and close to the beach. The owners or front desk should be reported for not just their lack of professionalism but their horrible rooms. My friends and I checked in at 2 wasn't crazy about it but however the room was already paid for, on arrival we walked into sand, but things appeared OK we quickly headed down to the beach as that is what we wanted the whole day. We were busy and barely in the room,we did try to speak to the front desk, which was no good as they didn't answer. we prepared to settle in for the night everything continued to worsen. Blankets and sheets we covered in stains, burns, pillows wmhad blood on them, ac went off on a timer , microwave stopped working and wouldn't go back in, after 2hours of really trying we decided it was in our best interest to leave , as check out was at 10am we did not want to even stay a few more hours. These rooms aren't fit for a dog. Of course we called the number that is connected to the front desk a man "frank" answered who clearly doesn't know the first thing to running a business. at 3am he was nasty, and seemed to be slurring his words. at this point we had advised him that we cleaned the room up, and that we did not feel comfortable in this filth, we will the room key in the mailbox, as doing that we realized there was a car illegally parked blocking us in , unfortunately for the inconvenience another customer was asked to move the car, but not before this horrible man frank made a huge deal, cursing yelling ,and telling us we cannot leave , this scared us and refused to go back into the room as nj state police were called , the officer was pleasant and understood the situation and settled everything , this man frank than had nerve to say we left the room a mess, damaged the towels and left sand in the tub, all this for 80$ on top of what was already charged obviously this is what to be expected at a slezzy place like this, but the health department should be there. Def worth the drive to a nicer clean repuatiable place.

Annmarie B.

Yelp
This hotel was absolutely disgusting. I had booked the room for fri-sun. When I got there on Friday evening to check in, the office door was locked so I rang the doorbell.. nothing. Went and got a bite to eat and came back, the door was still locked so I called the hotel as I was standing outside in the cold and rain waiting to check in. It took someone approximately 10 minutes to open the office door. I got my room key and went up to the room. The room was disgusting. Reeked of cigarettes. The floor was not cleaned and the furniture was old and broken. I went to go take a shower and shower walls had cracks and holes. The towels were dingy. So I used my own towel. Not even daring to walk barefoot on a that floor. I pulled back the blanket on the bed and the sheets looked like theyve never been washed. I gathered my things and decided I would go find somewhere else to stay for the weekend. I ended up handing my key in on Saturday morning because there was no way I was staying there for a minute longer than I had too.
