Again if you love your love ones don't send them here, the administrator does nothing if there's a problem, the director is a phoney twit that spits out personal things when she should talk to you in private but then again she says one thing in private and different when you call her up on what she said, and the LVN is a joke nobody here likes him and he pretends to be a doctor when he's not even one and other staff are rude and some of them are nice! But please don't put your love ones in here! I don't recommend this place at all!

I pulled a muscle in my upper leg instead of being concerned about me I got told by a caregiver here to walk it off, and then I was requesting assistance from one of the other caregivers instead of getting that I got yelled at by the medicine tech named Jennifer! These guys don't care about the residents here and I seriously want out of here! And some of the residents here are crazy like the roommate I have started a fight with me and dared me to hit her and I didn't but she went around telling everyone that I did when I didn't hit her at all! This place is too much for me and I want to go! I wouldn't recommend anyone bringing their love one here! These guys are the worst I've ever dealt with in my whole life! Not only the staff is racist and rude but they allowed my crazy roommate to lie to them once again! Why I said that? Is because not only is she lying about me hitting her she's lying about the fan being on when I haven't had it on in a couple of days! And with the pulled muscle in my upper right leg tonight they expected me to stand on it! And for the first time today they finally gave me Tylenol for the pain I'm in! It only I can give them something lower than 1 star I would!

The afternoon and nighttime caregivers are terrible. The Front desk staff gets irritated when you call for a diaper change for those persons like myself that have incontinence. Also If you are not in your room when they are doing changes, they make you wait until the next change and this can be hours in a wet diaper. I am currently searching for other assisted living places and definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

I just moved my husband out of Seaside Terrace. Do NOT under any circumstances place your loved one here. The staff appear to have no training at all and are not interested in providing care, particularly to the level you need and expect for memory care. They allowed my husband to dictate what he would and wouldn't do, resulting in him rarely bathing and infrequently eating. He has lost 20 pounds in the 4-5 months I had him there. After moving him out, I also discovered that several of his medications including his dementia medication have run out and was never told that I needed to order refills. The administration does not provide invoices or bills, so if you need one for your records or insurance purposes you have to ask them to generate them. The building itself is run down, and the memory care unit frequently smells like urine. My husband's room was irregularly cleaned, or the linens changed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

Google
Seaside Terrace is an amazing facility! They take such good care of my dad and are very communicative with me and the rest of my family. We have been through so many assisted living places and it was a miracle we found Seaside. I highly recommend this facility!

My mom has been a resident at seaside for 6 months now and we're so happy with the remodel and new staff! The business manager, Nick, is always so helpful and professional. The activities they have are super cute and creative!

Google
This is truly an amazing facility. They have the sweetest staff and really go the extra mile for all of their clients. If you are looking for a great place to stay or send your loved ones, then I highly recommend checking out Seaside Terrace.

Google
Seaside is a great facility. My father has been in and out of so many terrible places. The staff here truly care about the residents well being and are extremely helpful. I definitely recommend it.

Yelp
There are many places pike this. However, Seaside has out done all the others. The staff is very attentive, kind, polite, and helpful. I have personally watched them react in a very positive manner with those who require more attention than others. As for me, they have been exceptional in all of my needs. For this, I am grateful rooms are clean, well-kept, beds and lining very well chabged never missing a beat. I have been here for almost 5 years and plan on staying for as long as they will have me! Thank you, Seaside!

Yelp
Among other delightful things that occurred to me there was a month where they deliberately poisoned me with counterfeit medicine that looked like my pills but were actually quite deadly. Eli Goldman was overseeing this poisoning and he made me leave to a skilled nursing facility in Compton. Actually that was Caremore the HMO I was with at the time. They stole all my belongings and claimed I left there mad.

Yelp
Their is a woman at seaside named Denise. She is amazing. She is the marketing director I was in the process of moving. The govt had made a mess out of my paperwork. I had two other " experts " trying to fix the problem. No luck at all. Within one week Denise solved everything. Very impressive. Thank you Denise. . No one can cut through a sea of red tape like Denise Also candy is the woman working the pharmacy. She has been at seaside for nearly 30 years. She has never failed to have my medication on time She's great !! The maintenance man at seaside is Herman He is Johnny on the spot and never failed and definitely went above and beyond. For all these reasons I highly recommend seaside. Brian kordik

Yelp
My uncle has been residing at Seaside for years. Recently his phone was stolen and the manager promised to reimburse him for the loss--that was almost 6 months ago. I was told many things like the check is in the mail, the money order got lost...still no reimbursement. When I wrote threatening to deduct the cost from the rent check they retaliated against my uncle, a blind veteran by threatening to evict him. I received a call that he was being evicted with no notice. When I complained, they decided to stop cashing his rent checks--an attempt to legitimize a claim that he is not paying rent. It is unconscionable to me that a black, blind veteran would be treated so horrendously. Very disappointed.

Yelp
I'm very sorry to have left out with hard feelings between all of us. I only hope that one day that there will be no longer any more adversities between us. I appreciate how good you were to Patti while I was gone, and for looking after her. People are capable of change and I am on the road and you can talk to Patti, my family and close friends who knew and know us both I have been on a hard road for about a year now with five back surgeries, Sepsis, Merca, and a multitude of other health problems that I am grateful to have been able to live through. And even though I never said anything to you about it. I am extremely grateful for your place for giving me a place even though it was just for a short time. But I really enjoyed the experience that I had there. You were good to me. And I am so sorry that I mis treated you. Thank you. Anyone who needs help and who has a good heart, and is looking for a clean place to live, look up Seaside Terrace. I promise you will not be let down. Every one there is easy to talk to from the staff to the residents. You will get everything you need at Seaside Terrace. Steven Kane

Yelp
Wonderful staff. Very caring, responsive and clean. Thank you Epi and team. Easy to reach and coordinate care with onsite nurse. Listen to our needs. Friendly. Love!!!

Caroline N.

Yelp
During his stay here (a few years) my father was not properly taken care of. He became infected with scabies because his clothes and linens were improperly washed with that of other patients. His clothes, wallet, and his phone were stolen multiple times from his room to the point where my mom had to buy him a simple flipphone and keep his legal documents. Brown water comes out of the facets in his room. Today, they kicked him out of the facility, with less than 30 days notice, because "they don't have enough staff". People at this facility don't seem to care about their jobs or about the seniors they're supposed to take care of. My family will be sending yet another official complaint to the ombudsman and looking into both legal action and a different assisted living solution.

Ice C.

Yelp
Excellent retirement home for your loved ones lets face it you can't take care of them forever they will need lots of support this place is perfect.

Gregory S.

Yelp
I went to visit my grandmother one weekend and was just blown away but how much seaside terrace has changed and improved. I met with the business manager NIck Payan, he was very nice and professional. It's nice to have staff that care!

Judy S.

Yelp
Please do not waste your time at this place. My Dad and I dropped in to take a look at the facilities. I wouldn't allow him to live here if they paid me. I was trying to locate parking and found the parking is on the street in front. I pulled into their parking lot and in the corner was a table. There was a man in a wheelchair, slumped over and no one was to be found. Made me wonder how long he had been slumped over. I doubt the staff even knew he was there. The carpets are filthy, the walls were dirty and we're in need of new paint. The rooms had regular bathtubs, why would you have a tub like that for people needing to live in an assisted living facility. It was horrible at best the two women that we dealt with spoke broken English. They couldn't even give me pricing. Not that I was interested. It just goes to show how unorganized and unkept this place was. I promise you, you will waste your time. Unless you dislike your parents and don't care about their safety, then check it out. I hope every daughter or son stays far away from here.

Joseph R.

Yelp
I don't come often to seaside terrace to visit my grandpa but when I do its always a treat to see the staff hard at work. The manager Nick Payan does a great job with the staff!

Wayne H.

Yelp
The administrator at Seaside Terrace Sabina was very pleasant. I came in on the weekend unannounced and she gave me a tour of the facility. The place seems to have a calm atmosphere. We're still looking.

India D.

Yelp
My brother was staying here and I had brought him clothes several times with his name ironed on them, yet everytime I went to see him, he was wearing old tattered clothes that were definitely not his. Every piece of clothing taken there was stolen. Along with his glasses. It is a disgusting place and the management is awful. They abuse their clients. My brother was afraid I was going to complain and told me not to because they would take it out on him, and he seemed pretty sure of it. I went on here to write an anonymous review ( even though we already moved him because of how awful this place is ) to keep from any incidents. Don't waste your money here.

Sarah B.

Yelp
This facility is horrible. Constant change of employees, constant budget cuts and rent rates rising. The place is run down, elevator breaks down. I am immediately getting my family member out of this place, the owners do not care about the tenants AT ALL. I just got word that they are pinching pennies so much that they have taken away juices and coffee for the residents. If you are looking for an affordable assisted living so your loved one can be looked after and cared for, this is not is. Think of this place more of an expensive apartment community with some free meals. I can't believe it passes for state regulations. Disgusted. Every time they have employees that care they let them go. Peeling wall paper, stained carpet. This place is a dump.

Ariana M.

Yelp
This place was a lifesaver. We had been looking for a place for my dad for years, and we are no glad we found Seaside Terrace! The facility is clean, welcoming, and the staff is excellent! everyone is so helpful and understanding. My dad's mood and physical condition has improved drastically since we moved him here. Thank you so much to all the staff and management!

Marlene E.

Yelp
This facility is the worst I was an employee their let me tell you it's the worst employee their are rude to residents and to each other the administrator their change every month can't handle the facility they fire their employees to get their own. This place has roaches and rats in the building one place I would not put my family members ! Horrible

Elijah S.

Yelp
I was looking for placement of an adult that had difficulty managing his own medications and providing for his own meals. What I found was a friendly and professional staff that went above and beyond for us on multiple occasions. I'd definitely recommend them to friends and family looking for a new home for their elderly loved ones.

Ann S.

Yelp
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Seaside Terrace for a delightful Christmas celebration. Residents were able to invite family and friends to a fabulous Christmas dinner (turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, cranberry juice, sparkling cider -- the whole feast) and every resident received a wrapped package. The dining room was decorated, there was Christmas music and the staff was gracious and welcoming. It was a delightful event, and I continue to be impressed and grateful for the care and caring my aunt is receiving at Seaside Terrace. Thank you again to Peggy Clark and to the entire staff!

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
This is the worst place to put your parents. The staff is mess. They never seem like they want to be there and everyone is rude. The new administrator is loud and not professional. She yells and puts her staff down. It also seems like they are getting rid of a lot of good workers and keeping workers there that don't need to be. They need to really look into hiring an administrator who is nice and professional and knows the needs of staff and residents. I do not recommend this place at all. Ever since Eli Goldman left the place fell apart. Please do no not put your parents here.

Robert C.

Yelp
My sister, my wife and I brought my Mom out for a visit to Seaside Terrace in early January 2016 and while our initial visit wasn't exactly what we were hoping for, on our second visit there we were shown a great room which we moved my Mom into the following weekend. My Mom has now been there for about a month now and she continues to tell me how great the staff is and how well she's taken care of, which is exactly what we were looking for in an assisted living community. The Marketing Director Peggy Clark is knowledgeable, very easy to work with and has been very helpful in making my Mom's transition to Seaside Terrace easy. All of the Seaside Terrace staff have been absolutely great with my Mom, from housekeeping and the activities director to the staff that handles giving the residents their medications, everyone is very friendly, helpful and kind. So far we have been very pleased with the care my Mom has received at Seaside Terrace Retirement Community, so if you're looking for an affordable assisted living facility do yourself a favor and check out Seaside Terrace.

Inari K.

Yelp
The administrator at Seaside Terrance is very professional. Just stop in for a tour; she stoped, and made time for me and a friend who is thinking about placement of a familiy member their family member. Thanks for your time!!.

Kelly T.

Yelp
My grandma is currently staying there and has been for a few weeks now. This place is terrible. She hates it there. Her room is very hot and there is no fan or air conditioning to cool her down. She almost passed out yesterday and called for help but no one came until a lot later. I'd hate to imagine what could have happened if something worse happened to her and no one was around to attend to her! I would not recommend this place to anyone until they change the way they do things around there.

Lou L.

Yelp
So I have read many of the comments and I could agree with most from 1 star to 5 star. I will say the place is improving cosmetically but still has a way to go. The bath tubs is ridiculous like one review but my dad can still shower but mom is taken out of her room to shower. The staff is friendly but not all are fluent in English. The food is not that good and there is plenty of room for improvements. There is a side selection for alternative meals but can't comment on the quality. Most of the staff is friendly and there are activities from games to art and exercise classes in the morning. They have several TV rooms and a all room. The pool table is never used and they should utilize the room for crafts or yoga. The staff also prepares some of the functions in the kitchen leaving shortages with the help in the rooms. My mom sometimes waits for 20 minutes to have help with her changes. They are a bit understaffed and there is staff turnaround but I also have seen some of the staff daily since my parents moved in. I have seen other places and this place is ok not over the top like a place in Newport which cost more but offers more too. The other day I was called into the office kind of like the principals to be handed $50 dollars that mom gave to the caregivers. They are not allowed to take money from the residents and they gave it back to the family. We don't lock the room ever and the place is safe so overall they score middle of the road with some more to be desired in the food area and added staff and the overall space but we will wait it out cause for now it's working and they have been remodeling for the last year.

Upup D.

Yelp
This place is absolutely wonderful. They have professional staff and everyone seems to be delighted working there helping the elderly.

Nell G.

Yelp
From an outsider perspectives who also knows this place because my mom lives there and i am taking her out of this hell hole. I would say to never bring your love ones here. The place is literally falling apart. The AC doesn't work in all rooms, shortage of staff, residents are being move to different rooms without family knowing or approving, the new administrator is the worst by far that they have. She only thinks and cares about herself and nothing or no one can tell her if she's wrong. She's rude and loud and plays favoritism. Also she won't let past employees go in the building to visit residents and so on. It's not a healthy place and I would highly recommend you move your mom Dad out. My mom were also close with the staff that has been let go for no reason or staff that quit because of the new administrator. Hearing that they are not allow to come back in and visit her is just plain stupid. I wish that there was a no star option because it would a negative rating. They charge a leg and a arm and they residents for place that has no leadership.

Julie Q.

Yelp
My father has been a resident at Seaside Terrace Retirement for a few years now. I am blessed to have found a safe place for my father. I truly believe in the staff. They work so hard to provide quality care for not only my father but other residents as well. Even though the place is built some time ago, the staff tried to maintain it and keep it clean. My father's room is always clean and organized. Staff provides him with his medications at the appropriate times. The staff provides my father with meals that are catered to his dietary needs. There is a lot of heart and soul in this place, which makes it a really great place for my father. Thank you to Peggy, Donahue and all the staff!

Marry S.

Yelp
I do not trust this place. I do not trust this place at all and that's all I can tell you. I don't want to go in details. Mr Donahue V. of course is a great service, fantastic location and impressive value because you worked their. I give this place 1 star because I being a nice person.

Eric F.

Yelp
Came out for a tour, very nice place at VERY reasonable price

Ana A.

Yelp
This review is from a nurse perspective who had a client living there. Its a dump! smells gross and no one seems to speak english! Infested with ants and roaches..mostly ants. If your loved one is near the end like hospice candidate this isnt the place. The staff have no common sense at times. The "managers" and med techs are young unprofessional kids. The cleaning ladies dont speak english and just come in and half ass mop and leave. Omg I cant forget one of the afternoon caregivers bringing a resident to my very ill clients bedside without even asking if the family was okay with it. When i approached her about it she muttered in another language (not spanish) and said "me no understand bye " 2 stars because they always knock before entering and there was 2 good caregiver and w one med tech who were actually helpful and professional. Peggy the administrator wasn't to bad either she caters to the clients families.
