Not a tourist attraction and more a commute option between the Seattle Center and West end. The monorail was setup in the last venture but has been upgraded and updated quite a few times. The train cars and the platform are super clean. The tickets are priced at $4 one purchased from plenty in f automated kiosks set up at this location. Only card and contactless payment options can be used to purchase the tickets. There are regular announcements regarding the trains arrival and departure times. There is an attendant on the station who is very helpful.

Clean, quick and fun!
Lots of steps getting up to it from Westlake so use elevator if adverse to stairs. Very convenient to Seattle Center and back to Westlake Center. A cheap must do in Seattle. Orca card works here. Well attended by employees.

This is what I'll say... The experience with the monorail was really convenient. We were going to checkout the needle. We walked to the monorail from our hotel up the street. We went in and I believe went up a flight of stairs. We were able to purchase tickets at a kiosk when we got inside. The ticket was $8 r/t. When we got on, it was clean, spacious and had nice views. Here's the kicker, I didn't realize there's only one stop. It takes you from point a to point b. No frills, no getting on the wrong train. You start here and you go there. I couldn't wrap my head around that. I'm used to Metro systems with multiple stops and lines. I just knew I was missing something.... But I wasn't lol. It's a great way to get from the hotel to the space needle and whatever is around that area. Check it out for yourself.

The Seattle Monorail is a fun, quick ride between downtown and the Space Needle. Built for the 1962 World’s Fair, it still feels retro and cool. The views are great, it runs every 10 minutes, and it’s a smooth, easy way to skip traffic. A fun, iconic Seattle experience—definitely worth trying!

Cool history as it was built for the world fair along with the Space Needle. Quick 4$ ride from Seattle centre to downtown. Can buy the 8$ ticket to get a return trip.
