"A tiny former ferry—the m/v Fremont Avenue —takes 50-minute spins around Lake Union, a glacial-gouged body of fresh water the size of Monaco. A cruise reveals gorgeous views of the Space Needle and Seattle 's skyline, as well as the rusted splendor of the world’s last remaining synthetic-gas plant, now a postindustrial play space for picnics and kite-flying. Quirky narration highlights more hidden sights, like the studio of world-renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly and its birdhouses shaped like vintage RVs. Bring cash or checks for the $12 ticket and $2–$4 treats. Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome, too!"

I’ve done the Ice Cream Cruise twice now—once with my partner and once with family— a sweet little tradition. The one-hour boat ride starts from Fisherman’s Terminal and meanders its way to Lake Union, giving you a relaxing, narrated tour with plenty of classic Seattle views along the way. Downstairs, you’ll find a cheerful staff and a selection of novelty ice cream treats—because what’s a cruise without a orangesicle or Drumstick? It’s well-priced, low-key, and the perfect outing for families with young kids (or adults with short attention spans) who might not last through a longer tour. In short: boats, ice cream, and no risk of mutiny from bored passengers. Highly recommend.

It was so awesome to ride on such a beautiful vessel in the summertime through our little canals and waterways! The captain was amazing and very informative about the history of the places that we cruised through and the crew was exceptional. I was thrilled by having such a wonderful surprise gift on a sunny Sunday afternoon . Highly recommend taking someone you love as a surprise. Major treat!

We love this cruise! They have upper and lower indoor deck so it’s perfect for any weather year round. Dog friendly is a big plus as well. The captain and crew member are always so welcoming and friendly. For a 45 minutes boat ride you get a nice view of Lake Union, city skyline, Space Needle, Gas Work park, learn lots of interesting facts about Seattle history, while sipping on a root beer float?! Perfect! Every time there are friends visiting us from out of town, we take them on this cruise and they all love it!

Felt like a bait and switch because after spending nearly $100 for an "ice cream cruise", the ice cream was extra. There wasn't even an announcement about when/where to acquire ice cream on said ice cream cruise.

A fantastic trip around lake union with plenty of local history and delicious sweet treats along the way. Super friendly staff and very knowledgeable about local happenings. Show up early to ensure your place on the next sailing - currently they only allow 30 people per trip for physic distancing practices.
