Stopped for lunch on my way to work. Lots of food and tasted great 😊. Not overly crowded and also have pho on the other side. Came with a free can of soda. Also a restroom for customers, since working in Seattle that sometimes is important well to me anyway 😂. I would recommend this restaurant and the food service was very quick.

Google
This used to be my go to place for teriyaki but now don't know what happened. Ordered takeout and the chicken was dry and rice hard , gave 1 small container of teriyaki sauce and the portion on the chicken was small. Rice covered 3/4 if the plate. The salad they gave with order was the best, but little dressing. I'm sorry, I've loved this place for years but I think I'll be trying somewhere else.

Google
The food here is absolutely delicious. I live about 10 miles away from this location, and will make the drive whenever I’m craving the best teriyaki. Seriously, it’s the best. There hasn’t been one time my food wasn’t hot and fresh. The lady at the counter is very kind and always has a upbeat/good attitude.

Thomas Bradley

Google
The first thing I want to say is how nice everyone was, and how clean the place is. The teriyaki and salad was the best I've had, and the salad dressing is the best, so get extra for your rice. If your in the area, you have to go here, and they have pho, rice dishes, and other great options. I'll be getting lunch here again soon

Google
No frills teriyaki place. I've tried quite a few things from the menu and they have all been delicious. My go-to is the katsu, though. Prices are good for the portions you receive. The two ladies who are always working the front are kind, and get food out quickly. They have lots of options (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese), so there's definitely something here for you if you're craving Asian food. They also have boba, and a cold case of soda/juice/water. Plenty of seating inside, and always clean, but the food keeps well if you need to take it to-go.

Google
A great and consistent choice teriyaki! I think the chicken katsu is perfectly fried and the portion is great for the price. Their teriyaki is very flavorful and not overcooked. Overall great place to eat.

Triston Jensen

Google
This is my favorite teriyaki place south of downtown. They have a brown rice option with their dishes and I get it every time. They also serve a very good pho.

Google
This restaurant has really changed since the previous owner left. The side salad is not prepared for entry into the mouth. Giant pieces of lettuce; no go. Gyoza was obviously deep fried to the point of no return. Chicken was dry like leather and then swimming in a "teriyaki sauce". The woman behind the counter is extremely rude, pushy and doesn't honor my request to leave my beverage alone. There are plenty of good teriyaki places to patronize that appreciate the customer.

Yelp
What's not to like about this spot? It's simple, delicious, fast, easy, inexpensive, centrally located, etc easy choice

Yelp
I really hate to give small mom-pop shops a low rating because I know how hard it is to run a restaurant business, but I can't help the 1 star rating bc of just how bad it tasted. I, like others, read the DoorDash reviews and I mistakenly believed it. I should have known better to check Yelp before believing DoorDash. Anyway, I ordered the beef teriyaki and was so sorely disappointed and honestly a bit grossed out. There was a strange smell to the beef and it tasted almost like dog food or dog jerky. It was just so unpleasant in smell and taste. I took roughly 8-10 bites (with some force) and had to throw it away. The rice also tasted old/hard. Maybe their other dishes are good but I would encourage anyone and everyone to steer clear of the beef teriyaki.

Yelp
This place is fast, loud, and tasty, with HUGE portions. You order up front, pay, and then sit down with a number for food to be brought to you. You might have to bus the table yourself, in the middle of a lunch rush, but it's worth it. My chicken yakisoba had a big portion of chicken, lots of noodles, a variety of vegetables, and a scoop of white rice. Did I mention it was huge? It was HUGE.

Yelp
The lady taking orders always has an attitude and today I asked her for a side of sauce, and she said it was extra, but when I asked how much extra would it be she cut me off and told me to give her a second then I said never mind and she said just give me a second. They need to work on their staff and better customer service or they need to go back into training.

Yelp
I ordered from Seattle's best teriyaki because of the reviews on DoorDash when I was looking for something to eat. It came very fast and hot! $30 in total for my meal and tip. Overall, I thought the food was quite good. Nothing over the top but very solid chicken teriyaki and egg rolls with a side salad!

JayeTee R.

Yelp
This used to be one of the Best teriyakis in Seattle, but Not anymore. They've remodeled and it's nice! However, they have a new cook - I wonder where he got his culinary arts training? The steak teiyaki is supposed to be the mmore tender beef; rather than cutting the steak aginst the grain, he cuts it following along the grain. Very tough & chewy! If you request well-done, it's burnt on top of being tough & chewy. The teriaki sauce is too thick! On top of everything else, the prices have increased! Not sure if the helper girl, who makes the salads, washes her hands or changes the rubber gloves after cleaning the tables and then handles the food??? TOTAL WASTE OF MY $$$ Where's the old gentleman who did the cooking?

Yelp
I just moved back to Seattle a month ago, and wanted to get some pho from what was one of my favorite hole in the wall pho places. It wasn't as impressed with the experience as I was before moving to Vegas The atmosphere was clean, a nice menu on the wall I feel the shift may have come when Covid hit and food service approached customer service differently. I had veggie egg rolls the were really good but looked burnt (not pictured) and veggie pho which the noodles took some work to get unstuck otherwise it was fine. The lady serving had blue gloves on, would let us get up to get napkins but you could serve yourself lime water. The hoisin sauce was almost empty and we had to ask for more and was brought another bottle that was even half way full. The sriracha sauce was a Tabasco which threw me off, but was okay. I also think the lady was thrown off by the fact that my whole family wanted chopsticks...we are part Japanese What was once my favorite pho place did not give me that good feel upon my return. Again, maybe it's because of Covid, maybe it's because of the growth of the homeless population in this area or maybe it's because through the challenges of having a food service business the hearts of those that own this business lost that spark. Yelp
Went here for lunch. There isn't a ton to eat around here so I was happy to be here. The food came quickly and the service was good. Overall it was a good experience and a nice spot to have lunch.

Anitta C.

Yelp
bad customer service. Came in, ordered 1 hour before closing. Said they were closing. 2 other customers came in and ordered. They got their food before we did. I asked if I could get a drink. Lady said no not today. and went ahead and took another order.

Yelp
Stopped by to try Seattle's Best on a whim. There's a reason it's called Seattle's Best. On first bite, this soared easily to my favorite teriyaki in Seattle proper. Really fast service, order at counter and food was on the table 5 minutes later. Portion sizes were huge for the price, which is hard to come by in Seattle these days. The location is great in SODO near the light rail just off 4th Ave S in a strip mall building. I'd attach a photo, but the food was so good I devoured it all! Will definitely be back.

Jaime O.

Yelp
the lady is grumpy all the time I feel weird walking in like I'm getting scolded lol idk weird vibe the yaki isn't that good ethier go to the one around the corner instead
google avatar

Jacques I.

Yelp
Not the best teriyaki in Seattle, despite the name. I was craving some teriyaki around lunchtime, so found Seattle's Best Teriyaki while in the SODO area and decided to give it a try. (You never know if you don't try it, right?) It was pretty quiet when I visited on a Thursday, with only two other parties dining in and a few others waiting for their takeout. Located in a small business strip in SODO, it shares space with a pho eatery and is easy to find along 4th Avenue. The menu is large, and features not only teriyaki, but other classic Asian dishes, like Mongolian beef, shrimp fried rice, etc... I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki, which came with white rice and a side salad. There's an upcharge for brown or fried rice. Additionally, they do not accept American Express. The food didn't take too long to get. But overall, it was A-OK. Though the chicken was tender, I like my teriyaki with some grill flavor to it, so found it lackluster. The spice level was also mild, so added some red chili sauce from the table to amp it up. Side salad was a typical salad that's usually found with teriyaki dishes, with that sweet dressing and iceberg lettuce. Because of how many other teriyaki spots there are in SODO, even just along 4th Avenue, I would more likely try elsewhere than revisit Seattle's Best Teriyaki. It's not a bad spot for teriyaki, but far from the best, as the name suggests.

Yelp
Paid a return visit to Seattle's Best Teriyaki, and there were many improvements! The incredibly rude lady is gone, and there is Sriracha at every open table. I'm a big fan of their Tofu Teriyaki when it's fresh, as it has a nice crispy layer on top. Their salad dressing is also much better than other places. The front staff not wearing masks is the only reason why this is 4 stars instead of 5.

Yelp
Bahn Mi is so delicious. And it comes with a soda. Friendly and Clean. Good place to grab lunch I also recommend Teriyaki and Pho:)

Mason M.

Yelp
Best place to eat when your hungry. The food is so delicious and delectable that it makes your hunger go away faster than you than imagine. Ive never had terriyaki this good in my life
google avatar

Mateo G.

Yelp
As stated several times on this page, I would like to imagine that this is definitely not Seattle's best, but frankly I don't get teriyaki very much since it usually is pretty lackluster. This place is no better than what your expectations are. The food was fine, but it feels strange paying over $10 for something like this, but what are ya gonna do? Anyway, if you're feeling a craving for teriyaki, which I don't think I ever am, this will provide you just that

John B.

Yelp
Very nice people and great food. The place is nice and clean and I honestly cannot understand some of the other reviews. I was very pleased with everything. I'm sure being downtown like that is hard for them as a business as well. I really appreciate being able to get good quality food down there that is not fast foot garbage. The chicken teriyaki was great and so were my steamed veggies. Good sauce too.

Yelp
First teriyaki spot I've tried in SODO. Small spot in a strip mall, just off of 4th and Lander. I teetered between getting a spicy chicken teriyaki bowl and the standard chicken teriyaki plate. The lady said the bowl was much smaller, and since I had fasted all day, I was starving. I opted for the standard teriyaki plate. I asked for no salad. The plate was $8.95. To me, seemed like a bargain because now a days it seems like you can't get teriyaki for under $10. This wasn't a special "lunch" price either; it's the going rate. No kidding, I ordered & by the time I sat down and grabbed by phone, my lunch was served. I mean, a matter of seconds and my lunch was ready. Talk about quick service! The sauce was thick and sweet. This used to be my favorite kind of sauce, and although good; not my favorite. But don't get me wrong, this wouldn't detour me from coming again! If you're looking for fast & friendly service and tasty teriyaki; it's definitely worth it. Next time I'll try the spicy bowl!

Yelp
Kind of jus come here as a last resort because it's close to work but the food is dry , no matter what kind of meat I get or how it's cooked (teriyaki or katsu) everything is just always dry. The food here isn't super flavorful, pretty basic compared to a lot of other teriyaki places in the city. The lady is always trying to up charge me on the fried rice and makes smart remarks when she asks if I want to add any extra sides and I say no thank you. The guy that works with her which I'm assuming is her husband is always grumpy, I've seen him upset some folks while ordering that they jus walk out midway empty handed. This place was cool the first time I tried it , but it's not as good as it used to be and the people aren't as friendly anymore. Hopefully they can turn this place back around but for now, avoid eating here!!
google avatar

Anita M.

Yelp
No the best to say the least! It was ok. I won't come back. Portion sizes are small for the price. I asked for extra dressing because I like to dip my katsu in it and he came and squirted it right on my salad and said is that enough. I didn't like that. Just give me a side of dressing. The food was pretty bland. Overall just not my cup of tea. Wasted money I feel like. Should have went to Mexican place across the parking lot like my first thought about.

Wes K.

Yelp
I don't usually write reviews but this was just WRONG!!! I ordered some sweet and sour teriyaki to go and while waiting for my food I stepped out for a minute. When I came back in, I sat down in a waiting area to wait for my food. At one point one of the employees called an order and nobody was coming to get it. They started going around the place and came up to one of the guys at the table who was actively eating his food and told him that it was his order. Again, he's already eating. During a quick exchange, I overheard the lady saying to the guy eating "it's not yours", she then grabbed the container he was eating from with frustration and gave him a new box stating "this is yours". The guy didn't seem to be bothered by that and simply opened the new meal and resumed eating. She took the other container into the kitchen and five minutes later came out with a bag and handed it to me stating "we made you a new one". I found it little odd that she told me that but figured the other guy must have grabbed my order and ate half of it so they made me a new order. I didn't think much of it and headed back to work to eat my food. Once I opened my food container, I noticed that my rice was positioned in a flat setting instead of a typical round scoop type of style. I dismissed that thought and started eating the chicken. I started noticing that oddly some of the bottom pieces of chicken were covered with rice which was already soaked with sauce and the chicken was cold. I know they don't cook white rice and chicken together. I sort of put the pieces together and realized that my freshly make order was most likely topped off with some more chicken on top of the one some other guy started eating. The rice was flattened because it was also recycled from that same guy. I know they are in business to make money, but that was messed up and a health code violation on every level. I'm sure they will deny it and it's fine, it will be on their conscience and that fractional profit they made in a very dishonorable way, will cost them ten fold. Stay away please.

Eli E.

Yelp
Fast n friendly service, chill vibe, & all your favorite pnw dishes. For sure a spot you wanna grow up going to!

Eddie L.

Yelp
Solid spot for good food, but woof! OVERPRICED! I'm all about paying more for extras, but asking for spicy (.50), add broccoli ($2 for five tiny pieces), sub fried rice ($3)...a $13 meal became about $20 before tip. Again, upcharges are necessary, but these are exorbitant. Was this error on me? Sure. I'll go back, but settle for menu items as are.
google avatar

Lana S.

Yelp
Nothing "best" about this place. The teriyaki is largely flavorless and basic, and the woman at the front counter was incredibly unfriendly. If you're in sodo and want to put some rice in your face, it'll do. But that's about all I can say.

Rosa Maria G.

Yelp
The price is so much l order 1veggetable pho and 1 side of beef ribs they give me 3 pieces only and charged me alm 24.00 dollars o my god it's so much

Yelp
Seattle's best Teriyaki? Um. No. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't go. THE ROSES: Tasty food. Efficient service. Reasonable prices. THE THORNS: Tiny parking lot where most of the spots seem to be limited to 20 minutes, and the remaining spots are quite small even for small cars. Run down dining space. Staff is efficient, albeit not particularly pleasant. Sketchy neighborhood; lots of Seattle City Hall's pet vagrants living in tents and RVs on the nearby side streets. Don't leave your car where you can't see it. WHY TWO STARS? Let me answer that question with a question: What's in a name? When you call yourself "Seattle's Best Teriyaki", you really are putting it out there; you better be bringing an 'A' game in some respect. This restaurant is outstanding in no way at all; it is pretty run of the mill, as teriyaki joints go. If it called itself anything else, like, say, 'Pretty Good Teriyaki', I'd give it three stars. But calling yourself the best and having nothing to show for it is pretty cheesy. THE VERDICT: Pretty average teriyaki. Still, I recommend.

Yelp
- All our sauces are made from natural ingredients. - No MSG. - Increase your metabolism with our Hot sauce. - We use cholesterol free vegetable oil. ... and great menu selection. Great to-go menu, yo. I forgot what I got, but it was tasty, looked great, and table cond's on standby. The korean lady has been here and "here" awhile. Great english and pleasant lady. Menu says Japanese & Chinese, but they have bulgogi and kimchi, too. Great selection; a return would be nice.

Yelp
Eat at your own risk! Ok so I dont post much but if its dirty I need to tell you! Well i ordered the chicken teriyaki w/ fried rice. Well without details let's say shortly after it all left my body. Something was definitely dirty! There are plenty of other places to eat in the area.
google avatar

Kimberly L.

Yelp
We checked out this teriyaki place for lunch. Beef and chicken combo teriyaki was good but chicken portion was better. Next time I would go for chicken only.
google avatar

Victoria T.

Yelp
Sometimes, when a person starts a project they have such high hopes that they name it accordingly. And then the obstacles of life prevent the fulfillment of that prophecy. I imagine that this is what has happened here. Don't get me wrong, I like the yakisoba. It's chock full of vegetables and flavorful. But, seriously, I doubt that it's the best in Seattle.
google avatar

Andrey P.

Yelp
I had a jobsite nearby this place. I ordered beef/pork yakisoba that was $9.55 on the menu, but my receipt told me $12.50, I'm not really about the money but there was nothing on the menu that said that there is an extra fee for ordering beef+pork combo, which is unprofessional. And my second complain would be the customer service, the cashier lady told me to sit down when i assumed the cooked food was for me- she doesn't have the right to do so, that was rude. I was gonna order some egg rolls too, I tried to get her attention by nicely saying mam, but she didn't even look in my direction, even though she was a couple feet away from me. That was the most rude customer service I've seen, even worse than customer service in Ukraine. My theory could be that she heared me speak Russian and she was racist, but either way, that was rude. The food quality was excellent though, the cook was good, and the other workers were pleasing. But thanks to that one cashier, this restaurant will not achieve another visit from me.

Danielle M.

Yelp
I miss my occasional trips to the John Stanford Center because I always go here for lunch! I think their Yakisoba is my favorite in Seattle and they have great teriyaki. A favorite!

Yelp
So this is Seattle's Best Teriyaki, huh? You know, just don't take that name too literally and you might enjoy a casual meal here. Of course, the only real reason to come here is that restaurants in SODO are few and far between, let alone good ones. Without taking the scarcity of restaurants in the district into consideration, I can still safely say that this is an all right teriyaki joint. It's a very modest little place, probably family-run, and right next to a pho restaurant. I bet most of the customers have the misfortune of working in the area. I ordered a chicken and tonkatsu for lunch, and the dish arrived in under five minutes. Service was fast, perhaps even a bit too fast, hmm... but anyway, the girl behind the counter was very helpful and polite, which is a nice contrast to how dark and depressing the rest of the area tends to be with all the industrial stuff going on. Yes, the chicken and tonkatsu were very good. The chicken was nice and crispy, while the tonkatsu was tender and covered in teriyaki sauce even though there was already a separate cup of it included. Overall, I'd say the tonkatsu was probably better. Also on the dish were a light salad and a scoop of rice. They did a nice job of rounding out the meal, but I kind of would have liked a little more in terms of quantity. I can get greedy like that, and I never complain when I get too much! Other than that, it is pretty good and cheap teriyaki in an area sorely lacking in food to begin with.
google avatar

Teressa L.

Yelp
Not impressed. Chicken wasn't good. Some tasted weird. Not liking the sauce so much. Serving size was large, but didn't want to eat it. Won't be back

Hyung K.

Yelp
Chicken and gyoza is my top pick from this place. This place even opens on a weekend and easy to make an order! Great place!!
google avatar

Zack M.

Yelp
Small place, but excellent food. All four of my group enjoyed our food and the service! We'll probably be heading back here before we fly back home!
google avatar

Kinfu A.

Yelp
Horribel service; unfriendly staff and they really don't do any extra but they will charge you for it. Never again at this place.
google avatar

Phyllis F.

Yelp
I ordered to pick up and I got there 5 minutes later and my food was ready! There's a plus! You do get a lot of teriyaki and rice for your money, which is another plus! Unfortunately, I am one who prefers quality or quantity and this teriyaki just didn't make the quality side.I got the chicken and beef combo and the chicken was way overcooked, you could mostly taste the burnt charcoal pieces. There wasn't much flavor either. I am not trying to be a food critic here AT ALL. Like I said before, the timing and the amount of food was great. The location is great, but I probably wouldn't give this place another try.
google avatar

Mikey V.

Yelp
I used to work in SODO, and now I'm in Lynnwood for the same company, and if I could bring just one of the restaurants with me, SBT would be it. When I'm at the SODO office, I always make time for Seattle's Best Teriyaki because I never know when I'll be able to eat there again. I usually get the chicken and gyoza on Wednesdays when it is the special (what the heck!? It's no longer the Wednesday special!), but I also like the katsu and tonkatsu. Their teriyaki chicken so very tasty because they perfectly grill dark meat chunks, and I think that their teriyaki sauce is quite viscous (not like motor oil, but it's not watery at all). Their gyoza stay crispy even if you order to go and have to take your order back to the office in a steamy styrofoam container (don't you hate when your gyoza gets soggy?). The katsu and tonkatsu are not too greasy and there is the perfect amount of breading. The spicy sauce is fantastic, but I'd like to prove that it is homemade by making some before my very eyes. It could very easily come out of a bucket purchased at Boo Han. It is always fun to watch the teriyaki nazi tear into a flustered patron, and I even enjoy when she gives me a verbal beating. It's funny. Someday I will find out how they cook the chicken so well, how they make the spicy sauce, and how they make the teriyaki sauce so I can do it myself because I just don't get down to SODO very often. However, SODO can keep the teriyaki nazi; there's only so much verbal abuse I can take before I break down into a weepy mess. DO: call in advance, have your order ready before reaching the front of the line, have payment ready as well DON'T: arrive at noon thinking you'll be in and out, stall, be indecisive, show any weaknesses, show the teriyaki nazi the whites of your eyes

Nicholas S.

Yelp
I asked for no rice, got rice. Food was ok. With all the choices around Seattle for food, there is better
google avatar

Alyson L.

Yelp
This is NOT Seattle's best teriyaki. I've had better from the deli in the Shell station next to my work. Can someone please tell me why they insist on watering down the teriyaki sauce they put out for customers? Even the Shell deli will hook me up with an extra small cup of the regular stuff for free.
google avatar

Eric H.

Yelp
I've yet to find a good teriyaki place in the SODO area.. so I guess this restaurants name isn't completely wrong just yet. By no means does "Seattle's Best" give any indication of what the quality of this place is. Sometimes I crave teriyaki. This place is a bit of a walk for me, but I make the walk from time to time. The food here is mediocre at best and the service isn't that much better. It's a bit dirty and the tables are a bit sticky. I typically take my food to-go because I don't trust their plates and the overall sketchiness of this area.
google avatar

Shane M.

Yelp
No. Never again. I got the daily lunch special, chicken and gyoza with no rice. Make it spicy chicken? Sure. This was lunch at work and i didn't realize the error they'd made until i'd gotten back to work. $9 for all salad in the big portion of the to go plate, 4 gyoza in the top left small compartment and what I'm guessing was chicken in the top right small compartment. Salad was totally average. Gyoza was hot and crunchy and ok on flavor. The chicken was not hot enough in temperature and i even encountered a cold spot near the bottom. This did not suprise me as through a little window between the dining room and the kitchen I watched the chef tong their spicy chicken out of a rice cooker and into the container. It's basically been on warming all morning. and the sauce was gravy thick and not tasty. Super fail, SBT. Price, portions, quality... all really out of whack. Never again.
google avatar

Tay H.

Yelp
I have been here only twice, but both experiences were great. The first time I had the chicken katsu and was surprised by how much food I got. Second time I got the beef teriyaki, which was incredible.....so much food for so cheap.....Was a little bit sweet for my taste, but I can see why anybody would order regularly from here. They also happen to be two separate business in one location, with pho on the other side of the menu. Food also comes out pretty quickly.
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
When I lived on Beacon Hill, between this place and the taco bus in Rainier Valley, I managed about 50% of my meals. The name is a little misleading, but honestly, does anyone REALLY go here because they think the place that has the best teriyaki is going to call themselves Seattle's Best? You people probably drink Seattle's Best Coffee, too. Although the lady behind the counter will be very disappointed in me, I don't remember the number for my favorite, Beef Yakisoba (# 19?). The only downside was the dressing they served on the "salad" that comes with the meal is evil and leaks into the rice, which is always in the shape of a football.

Yelp
This place really does have good teriyaki. Just ate spicy beef and the burn was gooood.

Yelp
Seattle's Best Teriyaki?? Not only is the name flat-out lazy, it's a lie! If you are going to call something the "Best," it's gotta live up to the hype. This place falls WAY short of that. I've been to this Teriyaki joint far too many times, but my visits have only been out convenience and my own laziness. I work right next door to this restaurant and sometimes it is just so quick and easy that I cannot turn it down. I have ordered something different every time (3-4 visits), but each time I have been disappointed. Their portions are small, the quality is lacking, and the "salad" they serve with most dishes is simply a pile of shredded lettuce served with a cup of dressing. That's horrible! If I have any will power after writing this review, I'll never go here again. There are so many better Teriyaki options in Seattle that I should not waste my time here out of mere convenience. (and neither should you)

Yelp
I strongly disagree with Alyson L. This teriyaki is great. I have been to many a teriyaki joint in seattle and this is in the top two. Go for the beef/teriyaki combo make sure you get the sirloin beef. i have to admit on my many visits i have not encountered the counter nazi that bernadette is talking about but you can be sure i'll be back again to try out her chew out educing actions.

Yelp
It doesn't help that I work in walking distance to Seattle's Best...and our whole office are regulars at this little spot...but I think this Teriyaki rocks! I love that they offer brown rice, extra salad if you want it with plenty of miso, and you can call ahead no problem! I almost always get the spicy chicken Teriyaki - which I have yet to find elsewhere. Good amount of spice and oomph with half the brown rice, extra salad, and I'm a happy camper! Not a gourmet spot but great lunch and friendly fast service.
