I chose this hotel because it was close to the cruise terminal and because it offered a room with a terrace that overlooked the beach. It did fulfil both of these criteria, and the terrace room certainly had an excellent view of the beach and sea. However, if a bit more money were spent on the hotel, it could become a proper boutique place. Currently, it has some shortcomings. The entrance and reception area are depressing, cheap, and grim looking. However, we did not need to spend time there. Our room had received some poor repairs to the plasterwork and was quite basic in character. We did like the wet room bathroom, nevertheless, even though the finish again was not of international standard. One thing we did not appreciate was finding a previous guest's pack of condoms in the chest of drawers in the bedroom, so the cleaning and servicing must be questionable. The kitchenette was useful but would benefit from a tea towel to dry the dishes. It was very convenient to have an independent cafe beneath the hotel and a minimarket also almost underneath the hotel. The pool was attractive even though I did not have time to use it. Although I was very pleased with the terrace, it definitely required an umbrella to create some shade if needed from the sun. On balance, the hotel was a reasonable buy for the location and view, but some corners are being cut, which is a shame.

This is a great place. We chose it because it's close to the cruise termina but it's also on the best shopping street in Philipsburg. It's quiet and comfortable with a good restaurant open 0800-2000 and very good value for money. We will always stay there in future. There are, however, 20 steps to reception but they will arrange help with luggage if required.

Wow, what a wonderful way to spend Christmas Day!! I booked two cabanas #1 & 2 since we were traveling with our huge family. The cabanas are wonderful, the service fabulous. We had two wonderful cabana guys--on their college break--Go Gators--and they were very attentive. The food for lunch was good and the drinks were great. Purchased through Resort Pass and will definitely go back. Thanks for a memorable Christmas Day!!

First we had to walk up steep stairs to ck in, hall and more steps to the room were not swept at all, and decrepit. Room 34 was a pit. Dlrty, old bird do on the windows, sink didn't work, view was an industrial roof and ac units. Curtains and spread were rag tag. Paint chipped off the walls. The website, brochure was deceiving. I never saw the' better part 'of this hotel. They'd have been better off to tear down this old part of the hotel and told us they had no rooms, rather than put us in room 34, because now I'll never return. We left after 20 minutes and tho I expected they'd keep our deposit, I thought they might at least reverse the balance i paid on arrival. We walked 4 blocks to another hotel. Staff was pretty much indifferent. Terrible.

Moderen looking Terras, bar and pool all clean and well looked after. Rooms are old outdated, furniture in poor condition (bed completely knackered), airco covered in dust and mould. Bathroom hot water did not work everyday, lucky if I had warm water. Room was by the reception always people coming and going in middle of the night. Receptionists had absolutely no interest in helping, Asked if it was possible for another room away from the reception but that was too difficult as she would have to put her mobile telephone down and do something 😉.

First the staff are very nice and helpful. Second, this is not a handicap friendly establishment. There are 21 steps up from street level to the lobby. There was another flight of stairs up to our room. The room is small. The bathroom is small and cramped. There is no house phone in the room. The tv did not work. The refrigerator shelves were sticky. As far as I can tell, there is no direct access from the lobby to the beach. You must exit to Front street and then go around to the beach. There is no way to darken the room. The air conditioning works. They spent a lot of money to put in the pool and bar area. They should have gutted the hotel and started over.

Glad to be the first to review and super surprised that no one has yet. The place is clean, convenient and has the best lemonade around! The staff was great. People would walk bye and notice us at this beautiful boutique hotel and become very jealous that they hadn’t thought to go there. We had a cabana last time and will only get a couple of chairs next time which is already reserved!

The renovation is coming along. The pool deck with bar end lounge is really great. Grocery store next door and the ocean right in front of the hotel. We experienced a great time at SeaView Hotel. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy the renovated rooms.
