We had a wonderful stay at Seaview House Hotel. The hotel has a traditional, classic charm and is very well maintained and spotless throughout. There are lots of thoughtful touches that really add to the experience. The staff were friendly, pleasant, and always attentive. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and plenty of homemade touches. I’d highly recommend booking some time in the Serenity Garden – it’s a beautiful, peaceful space – as well as a massage, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Just back from a spa break with girlfriends to celebrate a milestone birthday. I cannot talk highly enough of our experience in Seaview. From the moment we arrived until we said our goodbyes, we were treated amazing! The staff are so warm and friendly, the house is an ideal mix of old world charm and modern touches, the food was delicious , the rooms gorgeous luxury and the spa was divine! Looking forward to returning to this little gem again and again!!

We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend getaway at this lovely hotel. The staff were very nice, and the food was delicious. The best part was that it was truly dog-friendly, which is rare to find. The spa experience and hot tub was also nice and calming and Suzanne guided us well. Thanks to Ronan for booking us in at such short notice. Highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again!

We are just back from a two night break in sea view house . |We absolutely adore this hotel . |We can bring our little dog , we get a beautiful dog friendly room . Spacious, and comfortable, with a lovely old world charm . |We had dinner both nights . Utterly delicious food .. wide variety of fish meat and game .|In fact I had the same meal both nights , it was so tasty , scallops with pea puree for starter and guinea fowl with an apricot and nut stuffing , mash potato and some veg . Perfect . No more to be said ! |My husband had black sole in the bone the first night and seafood chowder and herb crust hake the second night . Again flawless . |You would travel far to get food of this quality.. |The staff are out on their own , and their attitudes come down from the top , Ronan, the owner , is just a gentleman.||The service is so so friendly, we just love it here . Breakfast , again great choice , and just delicious. O|This is our fourth visit , and most certainly not our last

Having last stayed in Seaview House about 9 years ago, towards the end of the redoubtable Kathleen O’ Sullivan’s tenure, we had a long overdue return this May bank holiday weekend. With the country basking in glorious sunshine, we booked last minute on a whim and our impulsiveness was well rewarded. The grounds are as beautiful as ever and the garden was peaking at the time of our visit. The house is your quintessential Irish country house, charming and eccentric and needing TLC in parts, but beneath superficial frailties there is no doubt that this old lady has good bones. She also has a warm heart and we were very well looked after by owner and staff from arrival to checkout. Dinner was good country house cooking, very enjoyable. Breakfast was outstanding. Seaview House is a special place, filled with character and charm, in a beautiful part of West Cork. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and hope to return soon

A relaxing stay, very helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful room, lovely fluffy towels. We also had a marvellous evening meal, which was the highlight of our stay. The hotel is exceptionally well placed for visiting Bantry and the countryside around is excellent for long walks.

Beautiful place, lovely location. Had a very tasty dinner. Rooms were clean, plenty of character, wouldn't agree it's "dated" as per some reviews - that's unfair. Staff all friendly and efficient. ||Really not into the dog-friendly thing, can't understand why that's has become a thing in some hotels now. Dog in the room across the way barking regularly, woke us a few times during the night. His owners were out on the lash somewhere so he/she understandably confused and calling out.||It's not like the dog was barking incessantly, obviously just out of sorts being in a strange place but it was irritating having paid out hard earned money (one night of the year we got away from small kids) only to be woken several times and not be able to go back to sleep for an hour or two. If you want a good night's sleep insist on being in a part of the building that is dog free.
