Where to Stay in Vancouver When You Visit (Updated 2025)
"A nice waterfront trail where you can go for a stroll to take in the views — I recommend walking the Seawall Water Walk to appreciate the city's scenery." - Matthew Kepnes
The Vancouver Seawall is the world’s longest uninterrupted waterfront path, stretching over 28 kilometers around the city’s shoreline. Popular with walkers, runners, and cyclists, it offers stunning views of the ocean, mountains, Stanley Park, and the downtown skyline. It’s both a recreational space and a scenic way to explore Vancouver’s natural beauty year-round.

One of, if not the most, famous seaside walkway in the world. Great for a walk, run, bike ride, or just chilling around the variety of parks spanning along it. It wraps around the entirety of Vancouver and then some, so make it a goal to walk around the entirety of it as a local or tourist!

You get stunning views of the water, the city skyline, and the mountains all in one walk. The path is wide, well-maintained, and easy for all ages—great for walking, jogging, cycling, or just strolling with a coffee. There are plenty of spots to stop, sit, and take photos or just relax and enjoy the view.

Any visit to Vancouver is incomplete without a walk along the seawall. It's so picturesque, so tranquil and so breathtakingly beautiful. There is no shortage of pubs, bars and restaurants nearby and so nice hotels as well, such as the Westin. Overall, one of my favorite places to spend a day when in Vancouver.

I explored Vancouver's Seawall, and it was incredible! Perfect for walking, cycling, or jogging with amazing waterfront views. Nearby splash parks and Second Beach Pool are great for cooling off. The clean, scenic atmosphere makes it a must-visit for outdoor fun in the city!

It is the most beautiful route I have done in Vancouver. The road is very quiet plus you have views of the Vancouver skyline. It's long but worth it. When you finish you can get the aqua bus to return to downtown.

The seawall. Wowie. I love running on it, I love biking on it, it connects to Stanley Park which is also a good walk/run and you get to see the best part about Vancouver, the water.
If you're a tourist and you're looking to just relax and plan out your day but want to see some of the city, literally just take an hour walk around the seawall, you'll see many nice sites.
