We LOVE this place. The bartender was just the best! What a talent! While we didn't order a coffee, we witnessed her artistry for another customer. Just amazing. We enjoyed a Snowfall Spritz and an old fashion: both delicious! The place is something to experience. Personal touches everywhere! Take a flip through the sketch books, talk with local regulars, and chat with the knowledgeable bartender....so incredibly enjoyable! Thanks for adding to our anniversary celebration! Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!!

Google
What a fun experience with hospitality and great spirits. This family-friendly, laid back distillery seems small and humble but punches above its weight. Owners Carrus and Rick have started something very special, with a unique story, showmanship and an approach that has everyone rooting for them. Stop by for a tour and tasting, or even just stop in for a fantastic cocktail. I can’t wait to stop by again!

Google
We had a great time touring with Carus! He brought us through the context and history of Second Sight. We had loads of fun learning about this place and all of the work that went into the design and development of the distillery. The tastings were incredible and we got to sample & purchase things we had never had the opportunity of trying before! Group favorite was the Applepie Moonshine - favorite cocktail that I am still raving about was the Harvest Moon!

Google
This was our second visit to Ludlow to visit the distillery and it continues to impress! The staff was fun, engaging, and incredibly helpful. It is a hidden gem that you should make time to check out! Oh, and be sure to ask about a mustache ride! Such a cool place!!

Google
This has been one of my favorite stops on the bourbon trail. I stopped in with my brother before a concert. Great and welcoming atmosphere. The tour was fun and Carus was humorous and engaging with the group, telling the story that led them to open their distillery. It's honestly a hard tour to beat. This is a place I plan to visit again!

Google
Awesome place!!! Great spirits and a great environment. The owners are visionaries that are friendly and happy to share knowledge.

Google
I was in town a little early for a conference and decided to stop in on a whim. So glad I did! This is not a traditional distillery tour - it’s so much better! You get the origin story, a sense of this great little community, and some really top-notch bourbon, rum, hazelnut liqueur, and absinthe. By the time I left, it felt as if I’d just had a really fun conversation with an old friend. The bartender is also fantastic, and the cocktails (and mocktails) are really good. My only regret is that I won’t be in town long enough to attend any of the events.

Wendy Strout

Google
We have been to a lot of distilleries but absolutely loved this tour. The story of its founding was incredible and Audrey makes a mean cocktail. We loved visiting there and could definitely see us stopping there again. We also loved how they work together with other distilleries for the success of all.

Yelp
Second Sight is so fun! Everyone we met was super nice and welcoming. The decor in this place is so fun and very fitting for the name! We didn't get any food, just drinks. They do offer pastries on the menu we saw. The coffees were delicious but my favorite drink was the smoked limeade. Take the tour if you have time, it's worth it! PS the mustache rides are only $0.50!

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow! Look out Mainstrasse, this place is the spot! In-house liquors, cool staff, and a unique ambiance drawing from 1920's mysticism culture. This place is almost too cool. Drinks are delicious! Specializing in bourbon, liqueur, and run. They also have a day-time espresso bar that my other half cannot recommend enough. Prices are excellent. This place deserves love, and I cannot recommend it enough.
google avatar

Chelsea F.

Yelp
We came for a coffee to go, but nonetheless LOVED the vibes of this place! Open and inviting with decor that matches the theme. They have a great coffee menu & you can add booze (should you choose)! They also have a great selection of cocktails & their house made product including bourbon & rums! We've purchased the smoked cherry rum from them in the past & it's delicious! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Cozy little bar is a hidden gem on Fairfield Ave, Bellevue KY. Street parking is easy to find. I love the bar seating and enjoy to see all bartenders mixing their drinks. Special old fashion is recommended

Yelp
My wife and I highly recommend a stop at Second Sight Spirits on the B-Line in Northern KY! Their bourbon is young but tasty for 2-ish, aged in 15-gallon barrels. The spirits they distill, Rum, Absinthe, Bourbon, and American Single Malt are pretty good for a small operation and they work well in cocktails. Audrey, behind the bar, is a delight serving up tasty drinks. I left with a bottle of their Red Absinthe and their Smoked Cherry Rum. The draw is the place itself and their energetic co-Founder, Carus. It's like a show! So much fun. The decor brings to mind a carnival boardwalk with magic and fortune telling. I don't believe they serve food, but they have a mystery snack machine coming soon. We left having enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and the liquids we consumed.

Yelp
When my wife told me where we were going, another bourbon tour, I was like OK, I will be a good sport and go along.... I could not have more wrong. We had so much fun. First off one of the co-founders/owners was the guide for the tour. He was a blast and very entertaining Just learning the how they founded the company and how they came to be was very interesting. Allow for about an hour and half for their tour. I can honestly say I have never seen a rick room (vs a rickhouse ). They may be a small distillery but their tour was one of the more fun ones I have been on. If you are looking for something different, and fun I highly suggest you stop off at Second Spirits. You get to enjoy bourbon, rum and moonshine... and maybe just maybe if you ask nice enough... they will share with you a cheese bourbon..... :) And you will have to wait until the end of the tour to find out the secret of the Giant Black Mustache.

Yelp
We were coming through town and stopped to see the distillery. Very friendly service. Cool vibe.

Yelp
Booked a tour here for myself and two guests out of town. This was the best distillery tour I've ever been on. The people that run this place are just honest, funny, good old fashioned entrepreneur human beings. The liquor was fantastic , the cocktails were top notch, and the people were the icing on the cake. Honestly, I hope everyone in the area here comes and supports this business. I know I plan to take all future guests here for a one of a kind experience! Thank you and God bless ! Cheers!
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
Honestly one of the most interesting distillery tours I have ever been on and would go again. Their spirits are very good. Charming atmosphere and a great bartender.

Joe D.

Yelp
Just did the tour and tasting at Second Sight. Great distillery and the guide made it well worth the visit. Great story telling and visit. Highly recommended!! Would definitely go again.

Yelp
This feels more like a local neighborhood bar than a distillery. It is wonderful! The drinks we had were on their seasonal menu. They were beyond delicious, and a surprising amount of ingredients to create some very unique flavors. They incorporation of their spirits allowed us to see the various takes you can enjoy them in. I really enjoyed their take on a whiskey sour. The bartender was super nice! We enjoyed her, plus she is a great conversationalist. I think the best part was our conversations. She made us feel like we were regulars. It is always a joy feeling like a local, and not a tourist. I can't express this enough. It feels good! Parking is on the street. Come in and enjoy!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Super fun tour! The decor is a cross between a fortune teller / carnival / dark like Disney's Haunted Mansion. The tour given by Carus was informative and entertaining! The drink menu was unique and creative.
google avatar

Crystal B.

Yelp
What a gem in a quaint town! The gents that run the show makes it feel very comfortable, like you're a part of the family. I went for the tour and bought couple bottles of moonshine, I'd love to go back and try some more. Thanks for the heartwarming service.
google avatar

Talia S.

Yelp
This spot is in a super cute location on a little street. I found it as I was walking around. We walked in and were greeted right away by one of the owners. He was so helpful and kind. He even invited us to join the tour free of charge since we are from far away! I love the spiritual world and the decor was so fun! They are working on renovating some things so not everything was working, but I'm sure when they are ready to go it will be awesome! The tour was more of a presentation about the history of the distillery than a tour, but it was interactive and fun. The energy of the presenter was top notch. We also got to taste a few things. I'm not really into whiskey, but it was a fun experience to try it!
google avatar

John K.

Yelp
This place is surely a hidden gem on the craft bourbon trail. The owner provided us with an excellent tour and history. He has a lot of interesting stories and made it fun for all. The cocktails were balanced and delicious. Will definitely be back and be recommended this place to all my friends
google avatar

Micah G.

Yelp
The tour and the staff were both awesome! Love the story of the distillery as well as the setup and ambience of the bar! Would go again in a heartbeat!

Yelp
We stopped by this place cause we had some free time and thought to check this place out First of all the owners were very hands on and very nice, one of the owners we're actually the person giving us the tour. He was very funny and you can tell the passion from his voice! I learned a lot from their history and love the theme of their place. I bought a cocktail which you can drink while on the tour, small place but big ambition! Hope they make it big. We love the hazelnut liqueur during the tasting so we bought that, we plan to stop by again to get more when we're in Cincinnati again!

Lisa H.

Yelp
OMG! A must stop! Amazing place, beautiful decor, amazing Smoked Black Cherry Rum and FireJack Moonshine, but the best part was the bartender! Shout out to the bartender! Sorry girl, I cannot remember your name but you made our visit the best! We were the couple heading for NY that you recommended Yellow Springs as a stop. We will see you on the flip side of this trip!

Yelp
A friend of mine came into town and wanted to do the bourbon trail. I didn't want to travel far from Cincinnati and also had to book tickets last minute, which led us to this hilarious and excellent distillery. Carus is an amazing host and is excellent at forming quick connections with an audience. This place is relatively new, and that gives them the advantage of being able to do these small tours with the founder. There were about eight of us in the tour group. It was my first time doing a tour, but other people had been to well over twenty. All of us loved the experience and I've already recommended it to half of my friends. I'll definitely be back because the bar was an excellent place to hang out while I sobered up from the specialty cocktail and tasting.
google avatar

Theresa S.

Yelp
We dropped in for a tasting and coffee drink - both of which were awesome. Molly our bartender was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. I loved the Spiced Cherry Rum, the Hazelnut liquor, and the bourbon. My cocktail, the Smoking Jacket, was part of the fall menu and was great. I'll definitely be back to this craft distillery.

Jenna S.

Yelp
My family & I had the greatest experience here & could not say enough good things! Everyone here was so kind to us and the owner himself welcomed us & gave such an informative tour & background of the place! Will definitely be coming back!!
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
So fun and right across from Bircus! We tasted all of their bourbons and they were really good. Also got to eavesdrop on a tour that was being led around the place, there are some great stories here. Next time we'll go ahead and just book the tour. I also want to come back and try their seasonal cocktails. Great spot!

Yelp
"If we're going to be small, we may as well be weird." That really does describe the team behind Second Sight Spirits. When you've got two best friends from high school, still working together after 20-some years, and being open to trading, bartering, and collaborating with other people, you definitely have something interesting going on. Throw in Zoltaire (that mustachioed, turban-wearing fortune teller from the machines), stories about partying with circus folks, and Nick Fury turning a bottle of booze into a Molotov cocktail, it definitely gets weird. Tastings and tours from $10, cocktails from $5, and some pretty cool shirts in stock too!
google avatar

Alexi N.

Yelp
You don't want to miss this place! We've toured the majority of distilleries on the Bourbon Trail and Bourbon Craft Trail and finally made our way up to the Northern KY area this weekend to knock out six more. Second Sight Spirits was by far our favorite. We were lucky enough to have one of the co-owners, Carus, as our guide. He shared the unique story of how he and his best friend leveraged their diverse backgrounds (notably, behind the scenes of the Beatles Cirque de Soleil's set design) to create this small but not-to-be-overlooked distillery. Their talents certainly shine through in the one-of-a-kind design of the distillery and accompanying lounge. The moonshine (especially the honey and apple pie) is delicious and the bourbon is great too. Highly recommend a visit to Second Sight!

Chris K.

Yelp
Great little distillery/bar. Loved the atmosphere and there were a lot of welcoming locals - they bought me an old fashioned! Bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. Taking my friends there when I come back to Kentucky!
google avatar

Juliann W.

Yelp
Great tasting cocktails and friendly folks. All the syrups made in house. Fun atmosphere.

Paul C.

Yelp
Rick and Carus were fantastic! Our small group was only in town on a Thursday, when closed, but Rick and Carus welcomed us in. Learned a lot about their approach and local roots. Loved the still and crystal ball. Sampled and bought a bottle of 2-year Oak Eye, that was a solid pour and not grain forward. Well done guys!

Yelp
We stopped in for a tour and tasting and also to get our Kentucky Bourban Tour stamp. The tour was amazing and we had a blast with the guide/owner. I can honestly say that this was the first time that I liked all of the samples on a tasting. They turned us on to the B-Line Tour and now gave us more to do in the area. A huge shout out to the staff which were all too notch.
google avatar

Brian D.

Yelp
Great place. Off the beaten path with small town feel. Was able to meet and talk to one of co-owners and he was just an all round great guy. This place has a great story, amazing staff, and tasty spirits. Highly recommend
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Love this place and the guys behind the scene. The variety and selection of bourbon and other spirits (rum, spiced rum (one of our faves), etc) is on par or exceeds the old standbys. Check out their distillery now! I recommend checking out Groupon for discounts on their tasting tour or just rolling the dice and visiting for a sample and possible bottle purchase. Speaking of bottles, I really like the square shape of their bottles. Ha ha This is a great place to start a bachelor/ette party or some other special occasion.

Shaun B.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best places to visit during your Craft Bourbon Trail. Great story about the start up of the business. Wife and I had an absolute blast at their tasting. If you find yourself on this end of Kentucky you have to stop by and visit.

Jean B.

Yelp
Excellent informative talk and tour. These guys are up and coming! Enjoyed hearing the story of their roots which demonstrated their passion and creativity. Quite a variety of products which resulted in me walking away with 4 bottles :-)
google avatar

Janice K.

Yelp
This is a great little distillery. The people here are super friendly, and helpful. I love the back story on the owners, and how they started. It is a little off the beat and path, but worth the effort. They also have live music, and will do private events for people. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Jessica M.

Yelp
We had such a wonderful time at Second Sight! The bartender, Audrey, was fun and personable. Her recommendations and the drinks she made were incredible! Carus's tour was wonderful! He had us laughing so hard, and the tour was very informative and interesting! Everything we tasted was incredible! I can't recommend this bourbon trail stop enough!

Yelp
Was wanting to take my friend to a couple local distilleries for his bachelor party, and knew this was one place we had to go. I had been before for a smaller tour but with a big group of people (Yelp event). Was hoping to come back and experience it with my friends. I emailed their contact info (on short notice), and they returned my email that day, accommodating our schedule. Free tour and tasting, which is awesome. I won't give the background to the place (you just gotta go tour and listen for yourself), but it's great. Two friends who are putting it all into their business, including making and bartering for everything in that place. It's a great story. The still that they have, the decor, and setup are worth seeing in person. The products are high quality, and being so small and independent, they can experiment with tons of different flavors. If you like rum, this place is great. The bourbon they are producing is top notch as well. I expect them to be winning awards and growing in the coming years. If you are into craft distilling, you need to stop by and see this place for yourself. won't be disappointed.

Valerie S.

Yelp
Amazing experience. Loved the tour and the owners are awesome! Learned so much on the tour and everything we tasted was fantastic!! Definitely a Must Go!!!
google avatar

Angie M.

Yelp
Happened by this place on our way through town. What an amazing place. We were greeted upon entry by one of the owners, who was very personable and welcoming. Took us on a tour and showed us some neat artifacts and gave us the history of his and his best buddy's journey to opening this distillery. The concept is slightly odd (in a fantastic way!!) and just so welcoming. We sampled the smoked cherry rum, which was slightly sweet and smoky and so good. I am not a rum drinker, but this stuff is wonderful. I am excited to go home and drink it with fresh lime juice or with some amaretto and cherries. The hazelnut liquor we sampled was also very nice and would go great in bailey's, with cream, or over vanilla ice cream. Apparently you can rent the space out and they run some fun events here. It is a small location, but cozy. The tables have "crystal balls" to carry the fortune teller theme, which is super cool. Love the vintage decor and interesting items throughout. Check this place out!! Go for a coffee, drinky-poo or a show. We will definitely return with friends, although it's a 2 hour drive for us, we look forward to sharing this cool gem with friends!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely Amazing! Second Sight has become my go to distillery/cocktail bar. Everything is handcrafted and delicious. The owners and bar staff are all incredibly fun, generous, and interesting. You won't find distilleries like this elsewhere. From a still shaped like a turban, fortune telling fish tank, lucky coin bar counter, to a rideable giant mustache, this place is unique. They also do a lot for the local community by hosting local vendors without storefronts on the weekends such as florists, bakers, chefs. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stop in.
google avatar

Jenni H.

Yelp
This was a stop on the Bircus Brew bus and I gotta tell ya....."we're not from around here" was all I could think. Couldn't imagine why were driving through this part of town. I mean, there just wasn't much around. We walked across to Second Sight after a quick stop to Bircus and wow! Never expected this place! Second Sight is awesome! I've written 7 reviews this evening and this is and will be my only 5 star review this evening. The still is awesome and if you're lucky to stop in when one of the owners is there, you must get the store on this genius. We were there on a Saturday night and were told there is usually a medium but she was at a convention that night. The bartender.....wish I could remember her name- I'd mention her in this review. She was the bees' knees, ya'll. She looked like she was trained by John Tapper himself. She took a lot of pride in her job and it showed. That's a rarity. LOVE the tables! This place is 100% unique!! I could go on and on and what review would be complete without asking, "will you ride the mustache??" We live east of Cincy so coming back here just to frequent this spot is probably not going to happen but if Yelp really works please take my review to heart and stop in

Yelp
The Oak Eye Bourbon is going to do well. Just released. Nice idea to support local owners and sponsor a 15 gallon personal barrel for $500 with your signature on 12 bottles, numbered and aged for a year. Tasting for me was impressive. Right close to our Nati! My bar will be stocked with their bourbon and rum. Congrats!
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Best distillery experience. Owner deserves more than 5 stars for this place. Personable, great service, all around great dude. One of the owners sat with a group of us dropping insane spirit knowledge on us then gave a free tour and tasting. Grabbed a bottle for the great taste and awesome artwork. Stopped by traveling from Indy and VERY impressed.
google avatar

Yelp
Get over to Second Sight Spirits this weekend! I visited with a friend this past weekend and we were warmly greeted by one of the owners, who led us through how they put their shop together - all the way from an Evlis show in Vegas to a homemade still here in Ludlow. Very friendly guys with an interesting story. We were given a tour of their small shop but the size of the space did not limit the quality of the tour. The tasting was ample as well, and ranged from rum to moonshine to whiskey. Both my friend and I left with a couple of bottles: the applejack moonshine and the smokey cherry rum. Wow! Really original and so delicious. I look forward to enjoying their spirits and sharing them with friends and will definitely head back to see what new projects these engineers are working on.
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
We have been to all of the bourbon distilleries in Kentucky and I would say this one is well worth a visit. The tour and history were interesting and entertaining. One of the owners took us on this very short tour and explained how these extremely small batch spirits are crafted. The Rums were scrumptious, I didn't hold high expectations for the bourbon ( with the relative short barrel time) however I was delightfully surprised. In the words of my wife there was no funkiness... I really like the flavors of this wheated offering ( corn, wheat, rye). I think a few more months in the barrel will put this one over the top. The smaller barrels ( more surface area) seem to expedite the impact of being in the barrel. Loved it ... take the time to visit this Kentucky Proud local distillery.

Yelp
I've done distillery tours all around the country and this has to be one of my favorites. A lot of "craft" or "micro" distilleries are actually pretty large, with lots of money invested in them from the beginning. Second Sight Spirits is honestly handcrafted from start to finish by a couple of really creative guys who started off with $0 and bootstrapped their dream into existence. They don't just make it and bottle it themselves, these guys actually built all of the equipment themselves, including their cooker and still (which happens to be designed to look like the 'swami' that's on their labels). It was great meeting the owners, Rick and Carus, on our tour. You could tell how much blood, sweat and tears they've got in the business. Not to mention, their rum ain't half bad! I usually am not a big fan of rum (I blame Capt. Morgan and his associates for more than a few rough mornings back in college), but the high quality, small batch stuff they're making here is pretty great. If you're in the Cincy or Northern Kentucky area you should stop by for a sample and to check out their awesome still! And if you get a chance ask them about the time they ran away and joined the circus.
google avatar

Rajesh K.

Yelp
Awesome place to be in, don't miss out. Excellent collection of Rum and Bourbon. Carus and Rick are friendly owners. Best wishes for their future expansion..! Tasting was a classy finishing touch
google avatar

Kristen C.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, wonderful service and interesting history. Owners are easy to talk to and their alcohol is delicious. I recommend the apple pie moonshine

L B.

Yelp
We've been on about 15 distillery tours and by far this one was the best!!! Carus was very personable, great sense of humor and knowledgeable. The tour group was about 20 but still was very intimate and engaging.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
If you're looking for a fun place to learn about distilled spirits, this is a great place to start! Presently they are distilling several different rums and whiskies. Carus gave us an awesome tour of the facility, starting with the custom-made still and then the rest of the equipment they use. He then went in to detail about the different processes. To finalize the experience we were able to sample their product which was excellent. I'd highly recommend!
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Walked in here near closing time after a long day of touring the bourbon places. I am so glad I found this GEM! What a great story, and some fine craft rums. These guys took the time to offer us samples, and talk about their story. If you are in Cincinnati, this is a great place to find some small batch spirits, and see one of the most unique distilleries in the country.
