I visited this restaurant because of the live jazz that was advertised for a Saturday evening. It is a small and charming restaurant. As a solo woman traveller, I found it romantic, but the owners were so friendly I felt no awkwardness at all. This restaurant is family owned and operated. Don't be in a hurry - if you are go some where else, as dinner is made fresh here and that takes time. It's worth the wait. The fresh Tajine Poulet (I had the sweet version, you can order a salt version instead) was very good and a small dish of couscous with roasted almonds was amazing, best couscous I've ever had. The homous is quite different from what I've experienced in the past, as it was on the sweet side. It was very good. The corn purée (did not taste like corn at all) was excellent and was mixed with something (olive oil?) which made it so delish! I'd recommend all of these dishes. The servings were generous, more than I could eat. Solo, with a partner or with friends, the Second Soufflet won't disappoint. I found this food to be fresh and healthy - a pleasant break from the richer fare typically served. The music was wonderful (Karim Bahloul, jazz vocalist accompanied by and excellent Jazz Guitarist).
