Google
What a fabulous way to explore Montmartre! This was so much more than a food tour. Emmanuel was a wonderful, fun, and knowledgeable guide. He taught us about food, yes, but also about the area, French culture, and history. He was funny and flexible. The food was delicious! I highly recommend this tour. Definitely ask for Emmanuel!

Google
The Secret Food Tour of St. Germaine was amazing. I have taken many of their tours as I lead groups on culinary adventures; and this one did not disappoint. Stephane is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. He shares his passion of the culture so effortlessly. We ended up with him for 5-6 hours and ate beautiful cheeses and chocolates, caramels and a special treat! Definitely take a secret food tour while in Paris. The tour(s) is/are centered around food - but one learns so much more!

Google
Great experience and left with knowledge and a favorite new dessert. Nana was our guide and her tour was excellent. We started with a pastry and lots of useful information about French culture, followed by neighborhood tour lunch and a secret tasting. This is a great tour that combines both culture, history and food. It was worth every penny. The restaurant Nana took us for lunch was so great and her choices of foods were absolutely delightful. Can’t stress this enough. Come hungry!!!

Google
E'tienne provided a wonderful food tour that included so much history! I felt like it was 2 tours in one! We loved our city tour that included croissants and pan de chocolate, wines, cheese, chocolates, macarons, lunch at a beautiful restaurant, falafel and another sweet that I cannot recall the name of. We spent 4 hours with our small group and really enjoyed the camaraderie of our new friends from all over!

Google
Gaspard was absolutely amazing! He was on time and easy to find at the meeting spot! He was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and answered all questions in depth. I really enjoyed this food tour but was so thoughtful. We stopped at multiple locations and I felt like I got to try so many different things. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour!

Google
Rocio is a Queen. Mom & I had the best day in Rome with our guide Rocio. We were only in Rome for one day and decided we wanted to eat our way through the city and that is exactly what we did. Rocio is charming and relaxed and showed us the best time. We are coming back to Rome next year and we will be requesting to tour with her again!!!

Google
We spent a perfect afternoon exploring Montmartre with Sally. She is a highly competent tour guide. Her personality is PERFECT for the job! My niece and I thoroughly enjoyed her stories and overall knowledge about Paris and its food scene. The food choices for this tour are impeccable. The cheeses are to die for! Come with an empty stomach. There is no shortage of delicious food and wine. Would I recommend this tour? Absolutely! In fact, I’d love to take it again myself.

Google
We did our tour with Emmanuel, it was awesome! I really felt like we got an insider guide with interesting facts and tips and a great sense of humor! The shops we went to were definitely where the locals shopped which was great. The dining experience was so fun and filled with history and anecdotes that made the meal both interesting and enjoyable. Highly recommend! It's not my first time to Paris and I'm so happy to have discovered this tour! Emmanuel made it really fun and special.

Yelp
Their ticket purchasing process is misleading and unethical. You go about filling our information, like you do for many websites, but unlike any other website, you hit the "Next" button (for the third time) and suddenly you have purchased the ticket, without any opportunity to review your tour date, number of participants or even credit card info. All the previous "Next" buttons led to the next step in the process, as is implied by the word and as you would expect, but not this one - it is the final confirmation of purchase even though there is NO indication that this is about to happen. Then they tell you that there are no refunds under any circumstances and that the credit and ticketing laws do not apply to them. Perhaps this is because they are based in Cyprus, which I assume they have chosen precisely to evade regulations. Note that they say there are no refunds no matter what - even if your overall trip gets cancelled or the tour gets cancelled or the guide does not show up. Be very careful, or better yet, avoid these folks and do any of the other more legitimate tours out there for wherever you are travelling to.

Yelp
I highly recommend the Marais Secret Food Tour! It's got a little bit of something for everyone and takes you to a part of Paris that isn't often explored. Starting at the St Paul station, your tour group will work its way through the alleys and sidewalks of Marais. What I liked about this tour was not only were we able to sample a bit of everything (cheese, falafel, chocolates, macarons, croissants, ganache, croque monsieur), but also got to explore and learn some history to digest our food. Our group had Dalil as our tour guide and we all absolutely adored him! Super down to earth, charismatic, and friendly.

Yelp
We did the Secret Food Tours Paris Le Marais with Ingrid. One of the best tours of my life. Ingrid is Amazing and so was the food she brought us to. Definitely recommend to everyone!
google avatar

Heidi M.

Yelp
One of the best tours I have been on! Dalil (D) was our tour guide on the Le Marais Food Tour and he took us around the beautiful neighborhood visiting some of the best bakeries, cheese shops and chocolatiers in the area, if not Paris. We spent about an hour sitting at a lovely cafe eating some of the cheese and bread we purchased at the shops we visited, tasting some of the local wine and indulging in a tasty croque monsieur. We then walked to the Jewish quarter and indulged in some of the best falafels! Definitely come hungry or ask to have some of the items bagged to take with you because it's a lot to consume in such a short time (est. 3.5 hours). What I loved the most about the tour was the historical aspect of it all... from learning the history of the baguette, seeing the oldest house in Paris. 5 stars all around!

Ellen J.

Yelp
Matthew was the perfect combination of a knowledgeable historian and foodie! This was the best culinary food tour we have ever done!

Yelp
I've done a handful of food tours and this one left me wanting more. We did the Montmartre tour. The neighborhood is amazing with lots of great shops but it is very busy. I was immediately off put because our guide was a little late which left us all wondering if we were in the wrong place. We started by checking out a few neighborhood landmarks, including the wall of love which was neat. The tour started with desserts - a sugared bread (there were not enough for everyone and our guide did not notice) at a local award winning bakery where we also got some history and baguettes for our meat and cheese tasting. Then on to a shop for macaroons, chocolate and hot chocolate. I enjoyed our stop here. We then moved to a small creperie and ended at what I would describe as a storefront for meat and cheese tastings. The room had a long table with wine bottles decorating one side with a bathroom in the courtyard out back. We had the opportunity to learn about 5-6 local meats and cheeses , wine pairings and traditional baguette. I enjoyed the lesson and food, but I thought we would have gone to different restaurants or shops throughout the neighborhood instead of staying in one. I added on the drinks package but the drinks were provided at the end and felt a bit rushed. Perhaps my expectations were off on the experience but I do recommend a trip to Montmartre to checking out the food shops.

Yelp
I've done two food tours in Paris, one in Montmartre, one in Le Marais - both phenomenal. I loved the intimacy of the Montmartre tour that was about learning about how to buy food like a local from the various small markets, and then we went to a small restaurant and enjoyed all our purchases over lots of wine. And then the Le Marais tour was trying lots of different local spots in Le Marais with a wide variety of delicacies. Both were fantastique! I love Secret Food Tours and always go to them when I visit cities from consistent and delicious experiences!

Yelp
We did the chocolate and pastry walking tour in Paris and it was a great time! I was worried it would be a ton of walking or might be a faster pace than I was hoping, but I was happily surprised on both fronts. The pace was great, we were never walking continuously for more than 7-8 mins, I'd say. It was a very comfortable walking speed as well. It was jam packed, we stopped at 6 or 7 different places. (Can't remember now.) I would definitely go on an empty stomach, since you'll be eating a lot of goodies. Would definitely check out another tour they offer in the future!

Yelp
My parents and I did the St. Germain food tour with Lorca on one of our first nights in Paris. The tour guide and the people on the tour can really make or break a tour- and I'd give Lorca 10 stars if I could- she was incredible. Our group was also awesome- we ended up touring for a lot longer than the 3 hours because we were the last tour of the day and were having such a lovely time together. Some of the things we got to try on the tour included fruit paste, caramels, baguettes, macaron, and then ended our evening with a 5-course meal at a restaurant with food from the Basque region (foie gras, meat, cheese, entree- where you got to have a choice- and desserts) which is also where we had our 3 glasses of wine. Our group was the only one in the upstairs space and I think that also added to the environment. As someone who has done quite a few food tours, this one was excellent. I'd want to do a tour with Lorca anywhere in Paris! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I booked to an incorrect location and they were quick to reschedule so I thought that was very nice of them. But not worth the $. It's okay at best. The food was just okay. I would not recommend

Yelp
This review is for the secret food tour of Saint-Germain, not Monmartre. It's the same company and this was the only listing I could find for them on Yelp. So this was great... we stayed in Saint-Germain for five days but still would not have found many of the gems highlighted on the tour without this. Our tour guide was Ingrid, who I absolutely adored. She was friendly, funny, knowledgeable and gave us a lot of interesting information as well as some great food. She clearly knew all of the merchants and had great relationships with them. Our tour took us to: - Maison Le Roux : caramels and fruit paste - La Tarte Tropézienne : small cake with cream from Saint Tropez - Arnaud Lahrer : macarons and pastry - Saint Germain market : to have a look at how parisians do their grocery shopping - Maison Mulot: bakery - La cave du Sénat : wine shop - Coopérative Laitière du Beaufortain : wine, cheese and meats from Savoie region in the Alps - Au Petit Suisse : brasserie for a hot dish We had many favorites, but I woul say the Arnaud Lahrer chocolotier and the Maison Mulot were our favorites. Ingrid guided us to our final stop at the Coop, where they let us crash their basement private room and have a little picnic. We unloaded all of the goodies we'd gathered along the way (breads, meats, cheeses, wine) and had a heck of a little feast downstairs. Ingrid served everything and explained it all. She even had to explain how to serve this ridiculous mashed potato cheese thing that was served hot family style. In all, it was an extremely enjoyable experience and a great way to learn a bit more about the food in our neighborhood. I wish we'd done it earlier as then we would have hd more time to go back to our favorites on our own. She also pointed out other key restaurants like THE restaurant to go to for crepes so we could explore more on our own. The price tag is a bit hefty I feel, but I don't regret doing it at all. It was a great experience and Ingrid did not lead us astray! She even sent a follow up email detailing all of the places we went so we had the info. Very good.

Yelp
I implore you, take the Food and Wine Tour of the Montmartre District in Paris, with PJ. I can't say enough on how wonderful this tour was. In many ways I wish we had done the tour in the beginning of our time in Paris, but instead it was our last day - my birthday. What a gift to me. PJ knows everyone, and as you walk around the Montmartre you begin to understand the great appeal of this District. It's beautiful, neighborly, and people are incredibly nice, along with some of the best food I ate in all of Paris. It helps that PJ tells you of the history and reasoning for each food choice, be it bread, cheese, meat, macaroons, chocolate, and the wine (oh, the wine!) In a small group, you follow PJ to each shop, the best shop, and gather a few treats. Then you eat at his wine bar, which is closed to the public. In total, this was a five hour tour. It's intimate, and becomes a education in why eating locally is crucial to our environment, and our way of life. Quel régal!

Yelp
BUYER BEWARE! STAY AWAY! They offered a 10% code which I forgot at booking and messaged 5 minutes after and they wouldn't honor it. Very disappointing. Terrible service. I would not use again.

Yelp
Stephan was amazing. He even got my picky teen to try new things. We had a great time.

Yelp
Ingrid is a gem and so is this tour! I booked the secret food tour of Le Marais very last minute as a way to hit the hot spots in the neighborhood I was staying in. So happy I did - tasted the best food I've ever had in just a couple of hours of wandering the neighborhood. We visited the boulangerie, had wine, cheese, a quick lunch, falafel, macarons, and chocolate. Beautiful day! Highly recommend :)

Yelp
My friends and I had a wonderful time during our taste of Montmartre food tour. Loved walking around the neighborhood with so much charm and characteristic. Speaking of character, Pierre, our guide was awesome. He was very attentive and friendly with our group and shared a lot of insight regarding the food and the history of the Montmartre. You can tell you really enjoy cooking and appreciate the ingredients. I also loved that we got sit down with the group and enjoy some cheese, wine and good conservation after exploring the shops. I just wish we had more stops in the shops because all the food sample were so yummy. Overall the tour was a perfect jump off point before we explore the rest of Montmartre.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this experience. I was so excited to book it for our family for our last night in Paris. Our guide was not a particularly affable person, which got the whole evening off on the wrong foot. The tour part was just ok. We got back to the office to eat the food, and no red wine was available. The pours were pretty skimpy--and we had paid extra for the upgraded package. I would advise don't bother with the upgraded drinks. It's not worth it. We ended up buying an additional bottle of wine for the table. The food was mostly good--some was not my thing but that's part of the adventure. Don't come really hungry or you will be disappointed. The "secret dish" advertised--never saw it or tasted it. There was no "secret dish." Also, be advised that the food sharing at the office is down a very narrow staircase so mobility-challenged people may find it inaccessible.

Yelp
I took several Secret Food tours when I was in New Orleans last year and I loved them. When I saw they offered one in Montmartre, I was excited to go on the tour. Sadly, I was disappointed. Secret Food Tour has become a big operation. They are launching tours all over the world at a dizzying pace. I follow their page on Facebook and I was surprised at how many tours they are offering all over the world. As with any big operation they have to take a McDonald's approach to serving their customers. A one size fits all approach that is informative but impersonal. For example, when the guide arrived at the meeting point (late) he called out the names on his list. When we identified ourselves, he came over and shook our hands. When he shook my hand he said, "Nice to meet you Djuna." I said, "What is your name?" He said, "I'll tell you that in my presentation." I think that is a good example of how impersonal the tour is. The guide was well informed and provided us with interesting information about Montmartre as well as Paris in general. However, it is the same information any one of us could have provided if we had been given a script from the tour company. One of the reasons I like food tours is to be able to spend a couple of hours with a local and learn a little about the city from their perspective. There's none of that on this tour. The guide does not go off script and does not mingle with the customers. It was disappointing because it would have been interesting to get to know the guide and his thoughts about Paris. I do not recommend this tour. I took the Paris by Mouth tour of the Marais and it was given by a local food blogger. It was really cool learning from her what cheeses and chocolates she liked as well as local restaurant recommendations. I would look for smaller, boutique food tour that will give you more of an insider's look at Paris. I have gone on many food tours all over the world. It's one of my favorite things to do when traveling. On every tour I've been on I've received a list of all of the places we visited on the tour since it's hard to remember. I did not receive any kind of follow up from the Secret Tour although the guide promised to send us the list and we all wrote down our emails so he could follow up. Btw the upgraded drinks package is not worth the money. Most of the alcohol served was poor quality. There were some people who wanted to upgrade while on the tour, and they were not allowed to do so. Book your package ahead of time if you want extra drinks.

Yelp
We had so much fun with our group of eight touring and tasting the food around the historic Saint Germain area of Paris. Our guide Samuel was so friendly and made our tour fun. We stopped at several locations to taste macarons, baguettes, delicious chocolates and more. The tour ends in an underground restaurant where we sampled wines, cheeses, and were served a surprise meal. Everything was so delicious. We left full and happy with all of the socializing. We actually had a fun group of people. Samuel really made this tour fun too. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore different neighborhoods in Paris and learn about the culture and food. A truly memorable experience.

Yelp
Very knowledgable guide ... Pointed out landmarks and stories about area / street names. Shop owners / clerks friendly handing out product to taste. After about 2.5 hours going from shop to shop tasting cheeses , pastries, and macaroons we went to their office and she served us various wines, different meats, a variety of cheeses, and dessert. Learned what wine works best with the different cheeses and meats ... Time went by quickly ... Met up at noon and walked out at 3:30p canceling my dinner plans. Very enjoyable and feeling full and content.

Yelp
Fantastic! Fun! Formidable! Easy to purchase tickets online. Easy meet up spot. Extra proficient in English. Extra knowledgeable in the French scene. Exemplary chocolates, macroons, baguettes, cheeses, meats, wines, desserts, and crepes. Exemplary descriptions of what qualifies as superior French food.
google avatar

Yelp
This was hands down the best tour! PJ, our guide, was so passionate about the art and history of food, and was very knowledgeable. I expected to just takes small bites of this and that, but they provided huge portions, it was a full on meal by the time we were done. The cheeses and meats were also "exotic" so it was fun to taste something different than just your regular cheddars and bries. This tour is not for picky eaters or for people who can't handle their alcohol ;)
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
5 star plus! Hands down, best food tour I've ever taken. Montmarte is one of the coolest neighborhoods in Paris. PJ, our guide, a local, schooled me in French food culture. I know my way around food, am a chef, Cordon Bleu graduate and THOUGHT I knew a lot about the French culinary world, ha, I learned so much. 4 hours flew by. I searched and vacillated about which food tour to take, save your time and book this one, it was so educational, entertaining, interesting, enjoyable, and the food, oh my gosh, so good! It was a great all around experience, not to be missed.

Yelp
We had a walking tour of Momarte with my group of six and 4 others. We met at the train station in Momarte to catch up with larger than life PJ. (he is actually the attraction). He is a combination of biker, special forces, pirate, brother and comedian.. he used the subway map to show the growth of Paris from Medieval times to present day. he described the Parisian life of fresh food in small daily shopping walking trips. We then walked through Momarte and stopped at food shops. We learned how the fresh baguette is made and how they are different. We learned the laser etched code for freshness on every egg. We shopped at the fromagier and learned about French cheese. Then off to the butcher for fresh meats We gathered our food and went to his quaint small bar opened different french wines and paired them with our food as he regailed us with french food history. We then walk to a chocolate shop for treats and finished with a stop at a crepe street shop. Everything was delicious. His stories and historic perspective were priceless. I wish I lived nearby we could easily be friends. He is the unofficial mayor of Momarte. Every shop we visited welcomed him as family. I would repeat it in a moment notice. PJ always has a place to stay in Kentucky if he passes through. Incredibly very highly recommended Slainte

Yelp
Wow, one of my favorite food tours I've been on so far! Tour was great, and absolutely loved Ingrid (be sure to ask for her if looking to book!) We went on the Monmartre tour and really loved the experience. I was worried we were going to walk along the Main Street to the moulin rouge but we ended up walking up towards sacre coeur which was nice. Stopped at a couple of dessert places, but most of the time was spent going to local shops and learning about where the food comes from. We collected things at every shop and then went back to their office where we ate together as a group. It is more talking/bonding with the group than most food tours so take that as either a positive or negative. The only thing I'm ambivalent about is the drink upgrade. It comes with a glass of red and white, so the upgrade gives you champagne, a sweet wine (to pair with cheese), and a whiskey at the end. I'd lean towards yes (because if you're spending the money, splurge and get the full experience), but will leave that up to you. Overall I love any tour where you not just learn, but can take that knowledge with you the rest of your trip. Definitely do this closer to the start so you can take what you learn and get the most out of Paris!

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
Cannot say enough about this Montmartre Secret Food Tour. Educated tour guide who entertained us with French food / wine history and family stories! The food was collected by our group as we walked the streets and popped into shops - then returned to the SFT office for a picnic of cheese, bread, meat, desserts and lots of wine. This was our first SFT and we will search out this brand in every city from now on. TAKE this tour!

Yelp
I seriously cannot express how AMAZING this tour was! I was really looking forward to it but I got a lot more than I expected. Our tour guide, PJ, was so knowledgeable and funny. He really took the time to talk to us about every single food item and stop that we made. Everything we had was delicious and we learned so much. We started out at a chocolate factory so we definitely got off on the right foot! Then on to macarons, bread, meat, cheese, and finally, the best of the best - the wine shop! We actually had our food in a back room located inside the wine shop. We thought it would be a picnic at first but this was even better. It was cozy and intimate and just perfect! We had 4 bottles of wine and they were all spectacular. So much so we purchased a bottle and had it later that evening. Just when I thought we were done, PJ took us next door for crepes and espresso. We were stuffed beyond belief and had a whole new appreciation for french cheeses, wines, breads, desserts, you name it! We had a little stop at the Wall of Love where the words 'I Love You" are written in every single language imaginable, including Braille. Pj took the time to take pictures of all of us. He was really spectacular! We decided after this tour that we will never visit a city without first checking out if they have a Secret Food Tour and then booking it IMMEDIATELY! This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

Yelp
Spending a Tuesday morning with PJ for the secret food tour was one of the highlights of my recent trip to Paris! Even though this was not my first trip to Paris, I was so glad that I decided to book this tour. We met at the Anvers metro stop. PJ gave us a Paris history lesson, mostly focused on food through the ages. From there, we headed through the streets of Montmartre, making several culinary stops along the way. I won't go into great detail because I don't want to give it all away. This was truly a magnificent morning in Paris. PJ is a fantastic character and a knowledgable guide. He taught us the marks of quality for various food shops - these are things you will take with you and use throughout your trip. You will now be able to distinguish a high quality chocolate shop from the mediocre. And be able to tell the "fake French" places from the traditionally trained and handcrafted stores. You will learn stuff. You will eat well. You will fall in love with Paris even more.

Yelp
So I have something to confess. I went on a few food tours here and literally ate my way through Paris. Do I feel guilty? No because each of the experiences was truly something different and I loved every minute of it. I LOVED this tour with the Secret Food Tours (SFT) and we decided to try out Montmatre. Today we had Marina as our guide who met us with an easy to see bright orange umbrella. Her English was incredibly easy to understand and she was friendly/knowledgeable. Throw any question at her and you'll get an answer! We started off with a little history and how food is SO AWESOME here. We started off by walking around to the various shops in the area doing a tasting of each that we visited. We went to a boulangerie, a boucherie/charcuterie, fromagerie (cheese store) and a chocolate store. SFT also happens to have its own little private dining space so after you've walked around with your group of 6 and picked up all your goodies from the various food stores, you will then go back to their wine cellar and sit at their long table to have dinner. Warning: You will be FULL after this tour between the wine, cheese, bread and charcuterie + extra bonus of desserts. Be prepared to to eat and to eat different things. If you're picky about your food, I'll suggest not doing a food tour here in Paris although they can definitely work with those groups of mixed palettes. If you're looking for a food tour, this is a must. You'll have fun, learn new things and have a great dinner with fun people!

Yelp
Incredible way to experience Montmartre while enjoying some incredible noshes! We had Hugo as our guide and he was so wonderfully informative and had a great sense of humor. WARNING: do not, I repeat DO NOT eat before going on this tour! The tour starts off with a taste of chocolates and macaroons- then you go down a delicious tour of the meats and cheeses.... and if there is one way to my heart it's with salty meats and cheeses! Would absolutely recommend this tour as a different way to experience the area!

MS S.

Yelp
This food tour was not as enjoyable or interesting as others I have been on. In Paris on the Montmartre tour our guide was Japanese with a thick accent. She was lovely but not easy to follow. We followed her around only a few streets, had chocolates and crepes while standing - no water offered (we had to purchase our own bottles). There was a lot of standing around while she gathered bread, cheese and meats and then the "secret" destination was a cellar in Pigalle. Foods we tasted were good but I would have preferred a tour where we interacted with others and saw some lively street scenes or cafes. Would not recommend spending $99 and 3+ hours this way.

Reuben S.

Yelp
Was beautifully surprised by how good this was. PJ took us around the streets of Montmarte and showed us a bunch of awesome, local-made fooderies... We tried plenty of cheeses, meats and oh so many treats, (even including a few wines!!).. I don't wanna give away too much but I am absolutely glad I partook in this with m'lady today.. Got a new perspective on shopping for the daily goods here in Paris!

Yelp
Was only in Paris for a short time and stayed in the Montmartre neighborhood. Decided to book this walking evening food tour for our first night there in order to get acclimated to the area. The tour begin at the Absesses metro stop with our guide Eric giving us a brief history of the city. We then traveled to the following locations: 1. Cheese Shop 2. Butcher Shop 3. Bakery 4. Chocolatier At each of these stops we had samples and some conversation around the food. At the chocolatier we were able to select two chocolates and two macarons to take home with us. Following these stops we returned to the Secret Food Tour homebase (kind of like a wine cellar) where we had courses and courses of all the wonderful things our guide purchased at each shop. The tour in total was a little over 3 hours. I felt the tour was an excellent value and a very fun way to eat a ton of French food and drink a bunch of French wine. Our tour was booked full at 10 persons and we all enjoyed one another's company. Eric was knowledgeable, laid back, and funny. ****I was pretty general with the descriptions of the stops above because Eric mentioned he and the other guides change the stops frequently. If I return to Paris (please!) I may have another go at the tour it was that fun!

This was so much fun!!!! One of the tours I've ever done. Our guide was PJ he was so knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. I recommend doing this tour one of your first days in Paris so you know how to eat out. We went to to five food places and a wine store and then PJ got us all crepes. Along the tour he told us about the history of the area and explained the Partisan way of life and love of food. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. I am not a big meat eater but I was brave and even tried head cheese. I miss Paris, I miss Montmartre, and I miss PJ. Do not miss this tour!!

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL ! PJ was our tour guide and he was funny and attentive to the whole group. He showed us where to go and what to look for! Which is something we have taken with us to two other cities.. We walked through the city exploring food and the history of Montmartre. We ended the food tour at a cute bar where we shared a meal and gathered in a family like setting. Not mention dessert after was an delight. We also loved the spots we explored we went back a few days later!

Yelp
Truly the highlight of my trip. I didn't think a food tour could be this good or this much fun. I mean I absolutely love to eat, but we discovered a part of Paris that was just so new and enchanting to me. We made new friends in different part of the US, that I still know on FB. What are the chances? Absolutely the best, we took the Montmartre food tour and it was amazing. Our guide was so knowledgeable and had a way about her that just led everyone on the tour to become great friends. Can't recommend this tour enough.

Yelp
The guide Alice was amazing! The tour however is a bit underwhelming for what you get. A couple sips of wine and then you try some meat, cheese, chocolate and bread :/ maybe my expectations were too high but something hearty and Parisian would have been nice... maybe some beef tartare or escargots??

Yelp
Dessert, baguettes, cheese, meat, wine. What's not to love? Claire was an amazing tour guide/hostess. This is my first time in Paris and the tour was an amazing memory. I highly recommend it to anyone!

Yelp
Make This Food Tour the First Thing You Do! This is one of the best tours that we have ever had the pleasure to experience. Our biggest suggestion to you as a traveler is to do this tour at the beginning of your trip so that you have the wealth of information that you will gain to use for the rest of your trip! PJ was a fantastic tour guide - informative, passionate and full of humor. Not only did we eat some incredible food, we learned about what we were eating and how to spot the best restaurants, boulangeries, chocolate shops, etc. After we toured the area for several hours, tasting all along the way, we then sat down to a wonderful meal created with items that PJ had purchased along the way, all accompanied by some beautiful, French wines. We were so full by the time dessert was served that we couldn't even finish it. I think that just might be a first for us. My only suggestion for the tour company is that it would be super to have a list of the establishments that we visited and foods we tasted so that we could go back and purchase items or eat there. This is the first food tour that we have taken that didn't provide this information and it's always really great to have. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour and we will likely take it again the next time we are in Paris. It was one of the highlights of our trip! You will NOT be sorry if you choose to enjoy this great experience!

Yelp
This is definitely something you should do early on in your Paris visit. Montmartre near the Metro station was crowded with tourist places but PJ will show you the difference between schlock and truly excellent places to buy food and have a meal. We tasted our way along the neighborhood streets, where he grew up and seems to know most of the people. We had fantastic chocolates, macarons, charcuterie as he gave continuous entertaining commentary. We finished up at a cafe where we feasted on baguettes, cheese and charcuterie with the appropriate wine. But wait, there were still eclairs, crepes and coffee to finish! Don't make dinner reservations after this tour, but you will know where to get a good meal during your stay.

Yelp
My husband and I had good day in Le Marais thanks to Theo as our guide! He was funny, charming, and knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhood. He took us and 4 others in the group to a bistro for coffee and croissants, a bakery for apple pastries, the Marché des Enfants Rogue market for cheese and wine tasting (with baguettes from the earlier bakery), a restaurant for pate with cornichons and croque monsieurs, the "secret dish" (am I allowed to say what it is? Lol), and lastly, an award winning chocolate shop for our choice of chocolate pieces and macarons. We were so full and pleased with everything.

Yelp
I was really excited for this tour and it didn't let me down! Our guide was fantastic, she knew Paris, had a great (dry) sense of humor and was really knowledgeable about food. She took us through the Montmartre area and really taught us a lot of history, and then of course about the food! We went to a chocolate shop, then a macaroon shop and ate our goodies there on the spot. From there we collected cheese, bread, meat and wine from various shops and brought them back for a picnic, after that we headed for crepes before the end of the tour. It was really great and a lot of fun. I loved seeing the more local side of Montmartre and learning more about the culture. The food was delicious too! Some of it was more of an acquired taste but hey, now I know what I like! Overall this was a really fantastic and unique way to "see" and "taste" Paris. Highly recommended and would even consider doing this tour again next time I visit!

Yelp
PJ Thank you!!!!!! I was on tour 6/17/2016 Friday with PJ at 11AM. We had a great group of fun people and I'm so thankful that I partook in this tour with my wife. The tour was an eye, mind, and palate-opening experience. We had a delightful time learning about the masters of their food and our tour guide was so knowledgeable about Paris. This was one of our highlights of the trip, and we've been in Paris an entire week! 5/5 stars easily.

Yelp
My family and I did the Le Marais tour with Marianne. We got to learn a good bit of local history and sample a nice variety of food and drinks. Marianne was knowledgeable and engaging. This is a great introduction to the area and its people - a fine way to spend a few of your hours in Paris.

Yelp
Absolutely loved it! The best thing we did in Paris! The tour made you feel like a local- very authentic, educational and of course, delicious! The food we tried from all the little Montmarte shops was amazing! Fresh, great quality and true representation of French cuisine. And you won't go hungry! You eat (and drink!) A LOT on this tour. Our guide, PJ, was fantastic! Really funny and knowledgable about French food and history. You won't be disappointed taking this food tour!

Yelp
Today we did walking tour with Didier. He was excellent. He was fun, kept all members of the group entertained but was very knowledgable regarding the food, wine, and sights. We went to various stops to excellent farmhouse to table cheeses, meats, bread, wine, crepes, macaroons, and finally chocolate. We tasted the first four items at a park complete with a table, silverware if you wanted and he educated us about all including wine. It was excellent and milling!!!

Yelp
Our most memorable experience from our trip to Paris. My husband and I chose the Montmartre tor after our friend's recommendation. Our guide Eleanor was welcoming, charming, and very informative. The cheeses and meats that Ella selected were excellent and showed a good variety. I most enjoyed sampling each dish with both red and white wine to see how the flavors change. The pastries and macaroons were also standouts. I will be recommending this to everyone who visits Paris.

Yelp
Bravo PJ We could not have asked for a more knowledgeable guide with the credentials to back it up. PJ is a true foodie. The other reviews are spot on. The places you visit are first rate with plenty of local flavor and hospitality. Our tour was much more than a food tour, it was a food education, especially for Americans. We would recommend this for anyone's first trip to Paris and early in your stay. It will help you in how to select restaurants, other than Yelp and trip advisor! The groups are small which gives you the personal touch and good value. The amount of food and wine was ample, we needed no other meal for the day! We will look to secret food tours again in other cities. Hopefully PJ will continue his excellent lectures and tours for many years to come.
