The Secret Garden (Bruges, Flanders) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"On the side that faces the picturesque Groenerei canal it’s a stately urban house, while on the back side it’s practically a country retreat. The Secret Garden is set right in the heart of Bruges, which, to be fair, is no megalopolis — but the tranquility on offer here is still remarkable. In its concept — and its size — it’s got more in common with bed and breakfasts than with luxury hotels, boutique or otherwise, but it’s also rather more comfortable than the B&B tag suggests: the décor is lavish, the bathrooms (with their Hermès products) spa-like, and the swimming pool and hot tub are a welcome surprise." - Tablet Hotels

This Japanese and Peruvian fusion spot was such a great experience overall. It’s not easy to get a reservation for the main dining area, especially on weekends, but you can usually find a table in the bar or lounge. The food was excellent , on the pricier side, but the quality justifies it. The service was friendly, and the dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavor. Portions are light, so plan on ordering at least four dishes per person, not including dessert, to feel satisfied. It’s a great place for a date night since the menu is perfect for sharing. The atmosphere itself is unique, not exactly my favorite style of decor, but still nice. The food really stood out ,the Wagyu fried rice was incredible, rich and flavorful from the beef fat, and both the sea bass and the cod were cooked perfectly. Overall, a memorable meal worth trying if you’re into creative fusion dining.

Good food is hard to find and this restaurant serves good food. Atmosphere would have been better though if the fake plants were real plants. Dress code is a bit odd, especially since you’re only warned after you have booked a reservation (i did mine online). Portions were a bit small, especially since the server recommended dishes to be shared. I really enjoyed the shrimp tempura. My friends enjoyed the octopus but I found it a bit too salty.

I celebrated my birthday with dinner at Secret Garden in Amsterdam. First of all, the interior is absolutely stunning! The design is truly chef’s kiss. The service was excellent, we had such a pleasant experience with the staff. The food and drinks were delicious, and there wasn’t a single dish we didn’t enjoy. Secret Garden will definitely be seeing me again 🌹🥂

Fantastic evening from start to finish. Perfect service, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Our waiter was extremely polite and helpful. He made us feel welcome and at ease. We ordered 7 smaller plates and one main dish between us and we both left feeling very full. Each dish was well presented and brought out either alone or paired with something that complemented it. The guacamole was the best I've ever tasted. The corn ribs with parmesan were delicious and every course was full of flavour. The waiter even brought us a celebration pudding for our wedding anniversary. We would thoroughly recommend this place for a special meal and would have no hesitation in returning next time we are in Amsterdam.

It has been some time since i visited but it has left a lasting impression. The food was flavourful, well-balanced, and presented with great care and charm. The service was not only attentive and professional, but also genuinely warm and humorous, which added a personal touch to the experience. They offered excellent guidance in selecting a white wine that complemented our meal perfectly. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and cozy, making it a truly enjoyable and memorable evening. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for both quality cuisine and a welcoming ambiance.

The place has a wonderful interior design; we were amazed by every corner of the space. We had live music, a singer with a harmonious and smooth voice. We tried a French dessert inside a pineapple, which was delicious. The cocktails were also excellent. Many thanks to our waitress, Valentina, for the excellent service and kindness. We left very happy with the experience.

Amazing food! We really loved the whole experience :) and we’re glad that Nikkei cuisine is so well represented in other countries. One of the best places we’ve been to in Amsterdam. The service from everyone was amazing, especially from our waiter Breno. Highly recommend coming here!
