Google
What an amazing job! Then went above and beyond to add an additional gift to the order since I was in Kansas and my sister really need to have some love brought to this remarkably hard day. I haven't had such a kind customer service experience in a very long time.

Holland B.

Google
Sweet neighborhood florist who help design a nice custom bouquet. Just stopped in because I’ve walked past a few times and always been curious but was delighted by this place! Definitely worth a visit.

Yuliia K.

Google
this place is so nice to buy flowers, the girls there were very nice to us💓 UPD: A couple of weeks ago I left a good review, today I don't think so anymore, and I'm unlikely to ever buy from this flower shop again!!!NEVER ORDER FLOWERS THERE!!! there is nothing in common between the photo on the website and what you will receive, absolutely nothing! I ordered a bouquet for my mom for Mother's Day and was terribly disappointed, for $80 I received a bouquet of the cheapest plants that are used to increase the size of the bouquet, but the problem is that the entire bouquet is made of them and 5 roses. This is absolutely unacceptable to do so! In the end, I simply could not give it to my mother and bought another bouquet elsewhere. Bouquets at the gas station are much cheaper and much much better by the way.

Google
Tina was so sweet and made us a beautiful arrangement and delicious matcha latte!

Google
What a wonderful shop! Beautiful flowers and freshly brewed coffee! We always stop by on Sunday mornings to chat with David. Check out Gloria’s mini bouquets and custom arrangements.

Google
Went there to get a coffee and the lady was really nice. She helped me pick a drink that I liked and made small talk. The drink was really good too

Google
Hidden gem on Main St. ! Gloria is so lovely, the flowers are beautiful and the coffee was great! We’ll be back!

Christina T.

Google
My husband and I visited Downtown Ventura for the first time in years and we were so happy to come across this gem. The owner is so sweet and the red eye and hibiscus elixir were excellent drinks. Thank you again!

Yelp
This is such a lovely shop! The flowers are beautiful, the coffee is delish, and they have nice outdoor area where you can sit among the plants and enjoy the day. I especially love the Azteca picoso latte, which is the absolute best of its kind--perfect blend of chocolate, subtle sweetness, and a zingy kick of chili! 10/10
google avatar

Yelp
I have a sweet memory of meeting Gloria at her old location many years ago, and I still remember how kind she was. This hasn't changed, she is so kind and welcoming. Recently, while out for a walk, I decided to stop in for a coffee--and I was so impressed by how peaceful and beautiful this place is. From the moment you arrive, you're drawn in by the vibrant colors of the flowers and their sweet scent. It truly feels like stepping into a garden. I absolutely love the concept of a flower shop and coffee house combined. On my most recent visit, I tried the Lavender White Mocha Latte, and it was perfection. The flavors were beautifully balanced, with a true taste of lavender--exactly what I love in a lavender latte! The warm, welcoming service and the cozy atmosphere make this a place I always look forward to visiting. Sitting among the flowers with a great cup of coffee is such a peaceful experience.

Yelp
Hidden gem in DT Ventura! Wide variety of drinks to choose from! Place is filled with flowers and smells like a meadow. Enjoyed free WiFi while I sipped my dirty chai and worked remotely!

Peter H.

Yelp
Extremely slow. Literally took 20 minutes to get 2 coffees. Out of everything, no pumpkin, no non fat milk, almost out of several other things. Maybe don't open a coffee shop on Main Street during a street festival if you are not prepared. Oh it's finally ready but now, no lids. SMH. I won't be back. Terrible experience. Tip: on Monday order enough supplies for 2 weeks. In a week order more. ‍

Yelp
Awesome, locally owned coffee and floral shop. The customer service is amazing and the coffee is even better. While I did not purchase any flowers today, they also provide floral services. The shop is well kept up and clean. With patio seating it's a perfect spot to enjoy the day and enjoy your coffee!

Yelp
Cute little business located on a corner of Main Street. Stopped by for tropical iced tea which was good.

Yelp
I encourage anyone who enjoys food and beverages to frequent gems like this one any given chance. My family and I walked into this small business and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed the Clover Agave Latte and my husband the Chai Latte. The wonderful smell from his drink was amazing! My drink blend was definitely one of a kind! Both are a must try when in the walk around district of Downtown Ventura

Pam C.

Yelp
I received an arrangement that was totally underwhelming and not what I expected from Secret Garden. My company paid $95 for the arrangement. The small arrangement was 12" high and contained carnations, a few spray roses and 2 lavender roses. The browned edged roses curled and wilted on day two. Definitely, not fresh flowers. Maybe they thought that the purchaser wouldn't see the arrangement that was delivered? I left a detailed message the next day and sent photos but did not receive a response. Day four and they're already in the trash.
google avatar

Zsanae K.

Yelp
This place is beautiful and I love the concept. There's a nice variety of drinks. I had an oat latte and I bought a packaged cbd drink. My latte was at best 2/5. I couldn't finish it the espresso wasn't strong at all.

Yelp
Gloria is a star! She is warm, friendly and so helpful. We visited our daughter in Ventura a few months ago and loved our coffees as well as her beautiful shop, filled with beautiful and unique floral delights. I called to send our daughter a bit of Christmas Cheer and Gloria took the time to send a picture of a small Christmas tree she was personally decorating for her store! It was perfect fit for what I wanted to send. Thank you Gloria for making me feel valued as a customer and being a business owner that cares about her patrons. We will stop by the next time we are in Ventura!

Yelp
I am writing a review pertaining to the flower arrangment I had delivered to my home in Oxnard on Saturday August 16th 2025.This was an international order from New Zealand. It was the most disgusting flower arrangement I have ever seen.My Family in New Zealand had sent these for my 80th birthday. They were in a heavy clear glass container with instructions on a piece of white paper to recut the stems and fill with fresh water. It had 5or 6 lavender roses that were browned and by Sunday were dropping off the stems. I don't know if they have someone that knows or does flower arrangements and if so they had better learn.the container was so heavy and just left sat on my porch. It was filled with inexpensive other flowers jammed in there.I took photos of this disgusting so called flower arrangement and sent it to my family in NZ.You can get better flower arrangments from the grocery stores or from the locals selling them on the corners. They never had any packets of crystals that you add to the water and that's why The roses were thrown out today. They suffocated from all they other flowers that were jammed in the container. I would never ever recomend this florist to anyone.I will give them one star and it's not even worthy of that.

Yelp
I got a regular iced latte one afternoon. And it changed my life. She was patient while I browsed the menu. The flowers for sale were beautiful and fragrant. The special care that Gloria took with my coffee transformed a regular iced latte into the best coffee of my life. It's been weeks and I still think about this while I make my morning coffee, and I've adopted her mindful practices for the perfect cup every time.

Mariaelena C.

Yelp
Awesome little coffee spot, great coffee and beautiful flowers! Love my Ranunculus. Tina was so knowledgeable and nice. Will definitely stop by again.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Disgusting coffee I'd give a it a minus stars if I could. Anywhere else but here I'd recommend

Yelp
Personally I can't speak for the florist part of Secret Garden but their coffee is definitely worth stopping by! It is such a cute concept, who doesn't love flowers and coffee? When we walked in there was a pretty large menu of different coffee drinks. The barista was so friendly and gave us some recommendations. I ended up ordered an Iced Clover Agave latte which was to die for! It was a sweet, creamy cinnamon coffee. We also bought a mini bouquet of flowers for only $5. I will definitely be coming back next time I visit Ventura!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. The flowers are so beautiful as you walk in the wonderful smell of coffee and bagels enchant the senses. I recommend a warm chai tea latte. The owner is very sweet and friendly all her floral arrangements are lovely. Take time to see this hidden gem for yourself and take home a special gift for a loved one and support a local coffee, tea, flowers and gift shop.

Yelp
I have had a good experience before with secret garden florists in the past. Upon placing my order days in advance, I got a message the morning of saying my delivery was no longer going to happen that day for my moms birthday. I had to scramble last minute to find a new delivery service for same day delivery since I don't live in the same state to deliver them myself unfortunately. I tried calling the business and was sent straight to voicemail. It seems unprofessional to not have noticed a discrepancy in advance if they were not willing to deliver my order.

Jen B.

Yelp
Super cute, vibrant flowers and delicious coffee. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. The lavender mocha is to die for

Shana G.

Yelp
it is the cutest flowers and coffee shop in ventura ! good bathrooms and Very nice staff :)

Ellis K.

Yelp
We stop by the Secret Garden Florist on Main Street in Ventura every Sunday morning. David, the barista, is always ready with a welcoming smile and a great cup of freshly made coffee.

Jasmine S.

Yelp
The most beautiful flowers at a reasonable price. She makes the best bouquets! I have used this service for over 5 years.

Yelp
Five stars isn't enough to describe how pleased I was with the bridal bouquet and flowers I got from the Secret Garden. With everything in flux due to COVID, I came 4 days before my ceremony to see what was possible (not expecting a ton) and the team blew me away. Jessica dropped what she was doing to sit down, take me through my options, and provide stellar recommendations based on what was in season and freshly available. David made us an amazing coffee to enjoy while we went through the process. Throughout the week, I called with a few questions and Gloria was very patient and gave great guidance to make sure the flowers would look their best. Long story short, this is a dream team!! Everything was simple and I was stunned with the result. Their prices are incredible and 7 days later my boquet is still in bloom! Please come and support this small business, they are incredibly deserving!

JF R.

Yelp
Rude people absolutely obnoxious. Terrible pastries and sad looking flowers. Definitely no desire to go back.

Yelp
Life savers! Only shop that was opened early and the service was kind and delightful. Not only was I able to get a beautiful bouquet for a graduation they also had a full service coffee bar. Everything was affordable and the customer service was excellent. Was in and out in about 15-20min, highly recommended.

Deboo F.

Yelp
Received a delivery for Mothers day yesterday. The flowers were not fresh and even had browning spots on them. While I see that most reviews here are favorable I will make a trip down there to see if it is any different when you pick up the flowers personally. If it is I will review this company again.

Cheryl K.

Yelp
Hey lady who works here: The world doesn't revolve around you. When you go outside to have a phone conversation, you don't have to talk so loud that everyone hears you! And is forced to stop what they're doing because they can't think, you're so loud!! Pipe down!

Yelp
I was so pleased to be walking downtown Ventura and see that what used to be A Secret Garden Coffee at a previous address is back in business at a new address with the same wonderful owner, Gloria, behind the counter. The name is now Secret Garden Coffee (drop the A). Gloria's coffee is always perfect, never bitter, but still a nice strong taste. Gloria has the best bagels, she never tells me the secret of where she gets these bagels but I am still happy to get one with cream cheese and tomato. Decor is really nice inside and there are tables out front. All the best to Gloria, give her shop a try. A really nice addition to downtown Ventura.

Yelp
What a wonderful and cute place. I was so happy I found it. My husband took me to have a coffee date one morning and this was honestly so perfect. The coffee was so amazing I honestly can say it tasted so much better than my Starbucks usual. Perfect location easy parking. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Gloria was kind, but the bouquets were very disappointing. They were not what we had discussed. The wedding was going to be that afternoon, and she gave us bouquets with a lot of buds in them - they weren't going to bloom in 2 hours. There were a lot of buds and two roses....that is all. The rest of it was silver dollar greenery, and they looked nothing like the photo that I had sent her and that we had discussed. She also was a bit disorganized. I was call her and have to remind her of what I had ordered each time we talked. She also only let me know the day before the wedding that I had to pay for the remaining balance in cash - that is a lot of cash to pull out on a busy wedding weekend! I would strongly suggest to her that she develop a ordering form and folder that she uses for each wedding. When she gets an order, all of the information should go in that folder so that the next time the customer calls, she can reference the past conversations. She was very cheap, which we appreciated, but her prices shouldn't be that cheap if she can't deliver what was discussed.
google avatar

Yelp
This is both a flower shop and tea/coffee place. It is about a 15 minute walk from the downtown area. It may be a fantastic flower shop and if that is why you are making the journey, then it may be worth the walk to you. I went for tea and lunch and I was very disappointed. Just walking up to the place and viewing the grounds, it's not what I expected. I was looking for cute, quaint, and clean. I as so disappointed that I hurried out of downtown. This places looks like it started as a flower shop and they added tea/coffee service. If I wanted a flower shop, this may have been the perfect place. The man kept brining out more and more lovely arrangements. Unfortunately I was looking for something a bit more after my walk. I did order a ice tea to go and that quenched my thirst till I made it to an appropriate lunch place. They do serve afternoon tea, but you need to order 2 weeks in advance. That seems a bit excessive, especially for those visiting from out of town. I called some other places and they said they only needed 2 days notice.
google avatar

Jin J.

Yelp
Steer clear. Shady as hell. The $80 bouquet we ordered was suspiciously akin to having dashed into Vons for a bunch of cheap, sad blooms, chucking them in a vase and calling it a day. 100% ripoff. In case you're feeling feisty, this isn't just a difference in aesthetic opinion, I was raised in a florist's shop and am fully aware of what materials cost. This is a straight up scam. Update: Found out my delivery was to include chocolates. I guess the delivery person needed a snack?

Yelp
I had the pleasure of working with Gloria for my wedding back in January of this year. Even though it was some time ago, I did not want to miss out on writing a well deserved review for Gloria. She was absolutely awesome to work with! She felt more like a friend than a florist :P She was extremely accommodating with her appointments.. she even met me at my wedding venue in Camarillo! She definitely helped put me at ease with all the wedding planning I was already dealing with. They delivered my bouquets to our hotel, and even gifted a small throw-away bouquet that I totally spaced on ordering until the day before! I requested succulents for my bouquets, and I'm happy to say that most of the bouquet's succulents (even my bridesmaids!) are alive and well since we planted them 6 months ago! Thank you, Gloria for helping make one of the best days of my life so special!
google avatar

Yelp
Went here for high tea with my mom for a groupon. Got the groupon for service for 2 and $10 toward flower shop purchase. It was done well for the price. Good black tea with accoutrements such as scones, sandwiches, and sweets. Our server was attentive and everything tasted great. Only reason it wasn't a 5 is because the patio is in the front of the store that faces Main Street. Super loud with cars and traffic on a Friday afternoon. Kind of messed with the ambiance even though the patio was nice.

Yelp
Would give zero stars if possible. Not only did they badly screw up the flowers given to my girlfriend on Valentine's Day, they then pleaded with me to "make it right" and promised a full refund. I said ok, they dropped off the small version of what I purchased (I paid for the medium sized bouquet), then asked my girlfriend if she wanted to keep the flowers they had already delivered. She said sure and all was right in the world, right? WRONG. After waiting over a week and seeing nothing about my refund, I called and spoke to "Gloria." Gloria told me that my girlfriend insisted on keeping the flowers (a lie), so, no refund. If course, she never told me this. Never followed up with me, NO ACTION on their part. Terrible customer service and communication skills, zero follow thru and they can't follow instructions to save their life. I would suggest flowers from Vons, Trader Joe's, that homeless guy selling origami flowers or a punch in the face for your sweetie before I would ever recommend these dirt bags again. You've been warned! P.S. If you you're not going to heed my warning and want a message to go with the flowers, write your own, their handwriting looks like a chimp's scrawl. The only thing missing is the feces.
google avatar

Vanessa V.

Yelp
The place is inviting, I walked in and ordered coffee and bagels with cream cheese (perfecto!) and I was amazed how they do business, I saw people coming in and everyone is treated with respect. Busy place yeah. Sweet, neat relaxing vibe. Flowers are everywhere, I ended up buying a succulent that has flower on it, as a reminder of my first visit to this lovely cafe at downtown Ventura.
google avatar

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Very cute little place. Although the service was great and bagels, muffins, tea and coffee were all good....they need to work on a few things. I know they're main forte is flowers but if you're going to offer coffee and pastries please be prepared for customers on a Saturday morning. Our initial first impression was a little awkward. As we were looking over the menu we were told that if we wanted breakfast we cold down the road. We told her we were there for coffee and bagels. She seemed quite surprised. Don't lose a sale because you assume we want a typical bacon and eggs breakfast. There were a hundred of other places we could have gone and we chose to come to your establishment. Service was great. A little slow but still great. Just don't be so stingy on the cream cheese!
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
I took my mom here for a girls day on Sunday for the trea service day. We really enjoyed ourselves. Beautiful table settings. Lots of flowers around that made it very pretty. The tea was perfect. We enjoyed the sponge cake the best. The tea sandwiches were excellent too. Will be coming here often.

Yelp
I was on my way to the library one weekend morning when I discovered that it wouldn't be open for another hour. To kill time, I ended up at the Secret Garden Cafe. My first impression is that the menu is small and the prices are a bit steep for the portions, but what you get is definitely done very well. Outside the covered half of the patio area was dressed up for a special high tea. Never having been here before I didn't realize anything special was going on. I sat down, and the woman working came out to tell me to move. I had my laptop with me and wanted to write, but all of the other tables were in the sun except for one where someone else was sitting. He noticed my dilemma and gave up his seat for me. He said he was leaving anyway, but I still felt really awful. A little while later a couple came and sat at the table I had been chased away from. Another server came to tell them the table was reserved for high tea, but they said the woman inside - the one who had told me to move - said they could sit there. I admit I was offended, and it definitely colored my perception of this place. I continued to drink my smoothie and write for a while. I really enjoyed the music they were playing. It was soft enough to be background noise, not so loud as to be distracting or get in the way of conversation. I haven't been back yet, but I'd like to give this place another try.

Yelp
Davis provides us GREAT customer service! I ordered a vanilla latte and my boyfriend ordered pumpkin spice latte and it's honestly better than most of the small coffee shops I've been to! It's a MUST try!

Yelp
This florist is amazing. I am in MN and wanted some flowers delivered locally in Ventura to my sister-in-law for the 40th birthday. Gloria was very helpful, and made it happen by the end of the day. Awesome! She was very helpful (we were last-minute and had called same day), assured me that it would get done that day, and does stunningly beautiful work. All for such a reasonable price! Great customer service, timely service, attentiveness, and beautiful work! Thank you so much Gloria and staff for all of your help! Much appreciated! We'll refer you to everyone we know... the best! :)

Yelp
Came for the acai bowl since there's basically nowhere in town to get them (that I know). It's a pretty basic bowl, super tasty but damn for $7 it was so small. If you go anywhere in SD you can expect to find massive bowls that you might not even be able to finish.

Yelp
We went with Gloria from Secret Garden after we met with her at her very nice and comfortable café. Gloria was very nice and easy going, and very easy to work with. We liked her home-grown vintage style, and my husband liked the price. We had a concern about her organization, and in the end she came through. She did take on a large project with our wedding (10 table runners, 8 bouquets, 8 boutiners, and accent flowers for 8 tables). Flowers are always beautiful, even on a warm, slightly wilty day like ours. Some of the flowers we requested weren't in the arrangements, although they were pretty close. All-in-all we are happy with Secret Garden, and grateful for all the effort Gloria put into making our special day so memorable.

Yelp
Randomly stopped in to this little cafe for lunch today. The atmosphere reminds me of a what sitting at a little cafe in Europe would be like. Had a Acai bowl which was delicious. The fruit was fresh, fresh coconut and amazing granola. It was so refreshing and filling. Also opted for a vanilla latte. It's hard to find a coffee shop that makes coffee you can taste. The espresso was rich and chocolatey. It was great. The staff was so polite and welcoming. It is just the cutest little cafe. It's worth taking stopping in.

Yelp
My favorite coffee place. Main Street Ventura just up the road from downtown. Great little garden sitting area. Down to earth. Excellent coffee and relaxing vibes . Music while you sip and enjoy the morning. Excellent little pastries if you want a bite to go with smooth coffee. Mom runs the adjoining flower shop and has the prettiest arrangements in town! Check them out!!
google avatar

Yelp
Gloria was very sweet. I had a last-second order and my friend, Patricia, referred me to her. The end result was beautiful and very reasonably priced. Will go back again.

Yelp
Gloria and her son David have built this from the ground up and my it is a beautiful and delightful spot. Not only is Gloria a superb florist - The coffee is great - the tea is delicious - the baked goods are awesome and their smoothies and açaí bowls are fresh and yummy! I am thankful that The Secret Garden is still around- they were across from the circle K up Main Street for a while but now they have moved next to Ep Foster Library and are now a central gem in downtown Downtown Ventura is better for it! GO TRY SECRET GARDEN - Ventura's best kept secret!

Yelp
I love discovering new places for afternoon tea, especially when they live up to my expectations. This is a wonderful little gem in the heart of Ventura! My 16-year old daughter, her friend, and I stopped in for afternoon tea on a Saturday afternoon. From the street it's easy to miss because it's offset a little from the street... we had to circle back around, but found ample parking in front. We walked up to discover a quaint outdoor patio, shaded equally by plants and umbrellas, set with tables of various sizes. In the back is a rustic shelf of books with a sign that reads: Take a book, Leave a book. A live guitarist was playing softly in the corner, and the music, along with the soft trickling of the fountain, set an ambiance of peaceful serenity. We were welcomed with a smile and, though we were a little early for our reservation, they seated us immediately. Tea service consisted of a pot of the daily tea, two scones with jam and clotted cream, three finger sandwiches, a fruit tart, and a sponge cake. For the price it was a wonderful selection, and each item was delicious! Service was consistently friendly and accommodating throughout our tea. Both the server (whose name unfortunately I forget) and the owner checked in on us to refill the tea pot, clear away finished items, and ask if we needed anything. Afterward we visited the flower shop. Gloria, the owner, assisted us in choosing stems and we left with a lovely little bouquet of gorgeous flowers as well. My daughter's friend said that if she lived nearby she would be at A Secret Garden Cafe all the time. I can see why. Although it is over an hour from my home, I definitely plan to return.

Yelp
A delightful cafe close to downtown shops. Set inside a building with a florist shop, this is a sweet find! The almond milk latte was exactly what I was looking for. Prepared with love and care made it especially tasty! Next time I'll try out the other tasty treats inside the pastry case.
