Secret Garden

I don't understand all the negative reviews. The hostel is clean, the kitchen is well equipped. A bit on the pricier side with 15$ a night. The rooms are small, but the heat wasn't as bad as everyone described it and the fan is powerful. The 10 dorm only had 4 people in total. They also have lockers and private parking for free.

It is a hostel with extremely small rooms and very cramped common areas. The wall between the bathroom and the room is open at the top, so there is no privacy and bathroom odors can be smelled in the room. It is not worth the price.

Good choice to stay a couple of nights in Cahuita. Nice place, clean, without many pretensions.. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.. Fair price. Well-kept garden. Shame about the very noisy neighbors, but obviously it's not the hotel's fault.

Beautiful hostel! Very clean, the people are kind. I dorm was a little bit small but overall I can recommend travellers staying at the secret garden.

This hostel was without a doubt one of THE NICEST hostels I’ve EVER stayed in and I highly recommend to anyone visiting Cahuita! It’s super close to everything you need (supermarket, beach, national park) and the vibes of the place are AMAZING. Super clean rooms (the best hostel shower I’ve ever seen) amazing kitchen and awesome vibes. And the staff are lovely too!

The room was fine. It was smelling a bit mouldy but i guess it's normal because the house is out of wooden. The humidity was really high during my vacation so everything in the wooden house was kind of clammy. One night it was super rainy when I was there and the way to the bathrooms hasn't a roof so you get really wet. The bathrooms were always really clean. It was really close to the national parc and you could see and hear so many animals. I think it's a nice accommodation if it's not raining

I don't understand all the negative reviews of this place! The beds are extremely comfortable and the wine barrel rooms are super cute. Loved the drying rack outside our room, super helpful. The bathrooms were SO clean and I loved the little flannels to dry your hands with. Kitchen is well stocked, free coffee. Monkeys came into the camp frequently. Staff were friendly, no issues there. 2 min walk from the national park and lovely beach. We extended our stay from 4 nights to 7.

Amazing hostel, perfect shared bathrooms (the toilet paper is perfect 🤩). We saw a sloth the night that we arrived! Good location, everything is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Pura vida 🇨🇷
