Secrets Huatulco

I have never been so disappointed as I am with this resort. We have stayed at several other Secrets locations in Mexico which were next level amazing. This hotel is totally run down, the food is the standard of a 2 star hotel. The pool is missing mosaic tiles, the elevator carpets are all coming up (real tripping hazard). Washroom mirrors are broken. Restaurants feel like you're in a retirement home with plastic chairs. The decor is awful. No top shelf booze either. We paid a lot to be here and we are very dissatisfied. We even asked to book our sip and savour at Dreams and of course they said no, made up some nonsense excuse. Most of the other guests we have chatted to, feel the same. Such a shame. Please do not respond saying you take our feedback seriously.

We had an amazing holiday with two other couples. The staff at Secrets were so friendly and helpful. Food was very good and we enjoyed not having to make reservations to go to most of the restaurants at the resort. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We had fun at the pool and in the ocean. We brought along our snorkels and saw lots of colourful fish. All the rooms were great too with a balcony and a view of the ocean. My husband and I are returning in March.

Our stay at Secrets Huatulco was nothing short of spectacular! The resort offers an incredible experience with its stunning private bay, which is perfect for relaxation and enjoying the natural beauty of the area. Kayaking in the bay was a highlight, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for some fun on the water.||The food was absolutely amazing—everything was fresh, hot, and delicious, with a variety of options to satisfy any palate. Julian, our waiter, went above and beyond to make every meal special. His generous and attentive service truly stood out and made our dining experience unforgettable.||The rooms were beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, offering the perfect retreat after a day of adventure. Housekeeping was very attentive and ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible.||If you’re planning to explore Huatulco, don’t miss the waterfalls excursion—it’s a breathtaking experience that adds to the magic of your trip.||Secrets Huatulco exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable getaway!

This property isn't as luxurious (it's older) as some other Secrets, but it was clean and nice enough. The location is good, though not really close to anything else. The pools were nice and we enjoyed the pickleball court and water aerobics. The views are beautiful from the hotel!|Our room was comfortable and clean.|Staff was very kind and helpful, and we especially enjoyed Venezia's friendliness at the omelet station every morning. |We were served by many at the pool, but one that really stood out for us was Angela (RMZ? Riz?). Her service was superb!|The spa services were very nice. The restaurants weren't quite as good overall as at some other Secrets sites, but we were always able to find something we liked!

Stunning views. Unfortunately this is not up to the Secrets name. More like a three star. Wasn’t worth it to pay for the preferred. No reservations for most restaurants , got a buzzer and had to wait for it. No place in front of restaurants, could use some benches or chairs. Preferred staff was good and helpful, said we could wait in their office but it’s tiny with two small love seats. If five people are in there, it’s standing room. Very tricky with all the stairs everywhere. Saw several falls. Cleaning staff were doing a good job. I couldn’t recommend this resort to friends and will have to update with our travel agent. This is not worth the money.

Lovely bay distanced from other accommodations & vendors. Good evening entertainment; daytime poolside not noisy like some. As preferred guests, had good ocean view from room & enjoyed breakfasts and lunches at Castaways on cliff overlooking bay. manager Ivonne and Hostess Mariana Were particularly friendly and accommodating.||They know how to cook beef - if you have had shoes elsewhere.

Looks large but smaller feel. Great rooms - beds could be softer but preference. Friendly staff always asking how things are. Food was great even the beef and desserts. Room service was outstanding as fresh as could be. Had nice activities, live bands during the day, fantastic super bowl party outdoors, Weather in Hautulco is always warm to hot.. 75 night 90 day. Nice spa. Beaches are beautiful expansive. Sand is hot so flips mandatory. Could use more palapas on beach to sit under. Beautiful views. Negative: had to walk through smoking area to get to our elevator to our room.

After four days of suffering through an eye infection, unsuccessfully trying to treat it myself with eye drops, I called home to Kingston Ontario to my own doctor to set up an appointment for my return. When the symptoms were explained, my doctor suggested I seek medical attention immediately. With hesitation, my husband and I went to see the doctor on resort. I can tell you with all honesty that it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a medical office. Dr. Ayvar met with us immediately. His examination was thorough. His treatment was effective and he included my husband during the appointment to oversee the care he and his assistant were giving me. I can tell you that within 24 hours I felt great relief and within 48 to 72 hours my eye was 99% better. It was on December 31 that we met him in his office and he followed up immediately that evening to make sure my eye was improving. With the aid of a prescription that the concierge at the hotel was able to get for me immediately on January 1st, my eye fully recovered. Thank you again Dr. Ayvar. Your treatment got me back out into that beautiful Huatulco sunshine, and saved my vacation.|Greatly appreciated!|Priscilla Nelles
