Secrets on the Lake

When here for Brunch after it being recommended to us! We enjoyed a nice Christmas in July menu. Beautiful spot to be eat and relax. Banana smoothie was awesome. Food portions were really generous. Which is a nice change as a lot of places tend to be serving smaller and smaller portions these days.

This review based on takeaway coffee from the restaurant only. Lovely coffee from a beautiful location. Service was a bit lacking but they were very busy. 3 people walked past us without acknowledgment to say won’t be long etc. once we were served they were very nice and coffee was good although very expensive.

Secrets on the Lake is unique. It's the most charming and delightful resort for a holiday or special event. Each of the cabins is elevated with lovely views of the lake yet nestled beautifully into the rainforest. The cabins are each very private and quiet, with lovely decor. The staff at Secrets are genuinely attentive and keen to make one's stay as pleasant as possible. And the whole setting of the place is magical.

This hand crafted resort is truly uniquely beautiful it was so relaxing. I appreciated all the facilities like the fireplace, kayak and most importantly the welcoming staff. I loved waking up in the rainforest and it rained overnight so the waterfall was flowing. Loved every minute and of my stay

We went for the high tea which was very average. The scenery is beautiful and location spot on but definitely wouldn’t do the high tea again but would go again for the lunch menu. Service was average, when we asked staff about our high tea they were not sure what was going on and never got back to us. Took 30mins to get served a drink then finally some food came out. Definitely not worth the money spent but the surroundings was very pleasant

Wow, under rated hidden gem. Won’t lie, didnt have high expectations going, as it was a gift. However anything expected was truly exceeded. Staff super friendly, food shockingly good. The grounds & cabins really feel disconnected from anywhere, which was exactly what the doctor ordered for us! Would highly recommend & will be back!

We stayed within the platypus treehouse with the additional romantic getaway package for three nights following our wedding. The experience was unforgettable! The platypus cabin was divine. Waking up every morning with the phenomenal views of the lake was breath-taking! We 1000% will return again for another getaway. We also had an unexpected visitor on our last day! A beautiful Azure Kingfisher who got a bit of a fright and hung out on our balcony until he felt better to fly away.

Such a wonderful getaway. Peaceful and impeccable views. Wonderful tree houses with everything you need for 1-day or a longer, we stayed in 'wait-a-while' and the attention to detail within the tree house and all the amazing wood finishes throughout the property were amazing. The owners and team at Secrets on the lake are such wonderful and loving people. Definitely will be a repeat visitor.
