Secrets on the Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our five night stay from the moment we checked in until we checked out. The tree house was very luxurious with everything we needed. It was quiet compared to a busy suburban life. We appreciated all the staff who were very happy to help us when needed. The restaurant meals for breakfast and lunch were very yummy. Thanks to George, Aldy and all the staff for a memorable stay and we will be back.

Our stay at the Waterlilies Treetop Cabin was truly exceptional. We experienced a level of rejuvenation that no therapist could provide. The handcrafted swing on the deck, offering a breathtaking view of the lake, made us feel as if we were in paradise. A short walk through the stunning gardens brought us to canoes and kayaks, which we eagerly used to explore the tranquil lake. The staff and owner, George, were delightful. We definitely need to return soon to experience everything we didn't have time for during this visit.

We stayed in the Whistle Stop Cabin. My daughter, my 3 grandchildren and myself were truly enchanted by our surroundings. You could feel yourself breathe freely from the moment you arrived. We relaxed on the verandah enjoying the bird life, soaked in the spa and explored along the running creek, all while feeling like you were insulated from the rest of the world. All staff were pleasant and helpful, especially George, who you ran into regularly when visiting reception. Breakfast was ready on time and there was an over-abundance of towels and linen on hand in the cabin. One very enjoyable experience and one we look forward to repeating.

We began our stay with lunch in the restaurant. The chef’s special fish curry was delicious.. George escorted us to our Lizard’s Lair and helped us settle in. From the moment we walked in the door we were delighted. The attention to detail was amazing. The bespoke fit out was an artisan’s delight. We spent 3 nights & could have stayed longer. The gardens are beautiful and well worth a walk around. Our welcome & staff attention was so appreciated. It was our 50th anniversary and we thank everyone who helped make our stay memorable.

Only word that coes to mind is 'wow'. If you love a rustic/country look nestled amongsts the trees then this is the place for you. The 'possum' treetop accommodation that we viewed just breathed romance. The gardens are wonderful but not overdone. The place is amazing and from what I've seen and experienced (dining) I wouldhighly recommend it. Thanks for the tour Craig you were a great guide.

Secret by the lake is pure magic. From the moment you arrive, you feel wrapped in romance and calm. The wait a while cottage is absolutely stunning, with the most beautiful decorative wood details — every corner feels thoughtfully designed, warm, and full of love. It’s intimate, peaceful, and incredibly special. Being here with the love of my life makes it even more unforgettable. This place invites you to slow down, connect, and truly enjoy each other in a setting that feels both cozy and luxurious. Our stay in the Secrets Treehouse for our wedding anniversary was incredible and romantic. It really does have the wow factor with the beautiful detail in all their wood carvings inside the treehouse and along the boardwalk. The view of the lake was stunning. Cafe catered well for breakfast and lunch. Thankyou George, Aldy and team for a memorable stay. Will definitely be back.

This was wedding anniversary and where we had our wedding. We come back each year and it is the best experience everyone. We love coming here to relax and unwind. The location and venue is just magical, the staff and owners always provide exceptional customer service. The quality of the food is great and personally I love the coffee too! Would highly recommend coming here for a couple of days to get away or a special event. Our wedding here was fantastic every detail was attended to, no stress. We will be back again in 2026 🙏👍
