I stayed in a Junior Suite with Ocean View for about a week in August 2021. The property was absolutely beautiful, with a luxury feel every step of the way. The moment we arrived, our bags were taken away and delivered directly to our room. We were handed glasses of sparkling wine as we completed the required COVID screenings. One thing we were concerned about was being hounded about purchasing a time share - we were offered to attend the presentation once during check-in, but we declined once and heard nothing about it again.
The room itself was lovely. It was huge, and had a feeling of "zones" throughout the room. There was the bathroom at the front, and as you walk toward the back there was the sleeping zone, a desk zone, the couch/seating zone, a dining area, and finally the balcony. The view overlooking the pool was stunning, with a beach view further out. The coolest feature of the room was the iPad, which allowed us to view daily activities and restaurant hours and to place 24/7 room service orders. Another unique feature of the room was a room service box by the door - it allowed contactless delivery of room service and a place to store plates once finished. With the press of a button on the iPad, they would come and clear the plates from the box.
The resort offered poolside and beachside beverage service (no wristband or anything required). They were attentive and made frequent rounds, so they weren't hard to flag down at all. The drinks are less strong than you would expect, but it's great for trying a few different options without over-indulging. We didn't have trouble finding loungers when we wanted them either (may have been related to COVID capacity restrictions, not sure there).
We visited the spa during our stay for a massage and a facial. The staff was professional, and it was a very relaxing experience. They typically allow access to the hydrotherapy circuit with your treatment, but unfortunately, it was closed when we visited due to a hurricane. They offered to allow us access the following day, but we were leaving the resort and couldn't fit it in.
To get around the huge resort, they had 24/7 golf carts available. The restaurants, gym, spa, lounges, theater, and front desk are a bit of a hike away from the rooms, so the carts were nice to have. There was a short wait during peak meal/show times, but we never waited too long for a ride. They covered them up whenever it rained.
Finally, the FOOD. Everything we ate at the resort was amazing from room service, to the buffet, to the specialty dinner restaurants. Portion sizes run a little bit small at most places (except for room service which was huge) to let you try a larger variety of items. You also get exchange privileges with Dreams, and the golf carts will drop you off there. The best restaurant we tried was the French restaurant at Dreams - they had special welcome drinks and a 10/10 service experience. It could easily stand up next to the swanky French restaurants in NYC.
The last thing I would note is that while we were visiting, a hurricane came through the peninsula. Severe weather can always be scary, but the resort handled it very professionally. They let guests enjoy the amenities the maximum possible time it was safe to do so, and they reopened activities as soon as possible after. They provided multiple notifications about the precautions via paper and the room iPad prior. They also made sure there was still food available to guests during the severe weather. Preparations were made to keep guests safe, so there was no damage following. You can trust that when you visit, regardless of what the universe throws your way, the resort will prioritize your safety and vacation experience.
