Had an amazing experience at Secrets Royal Beach in December. The service was incredible - didn't have to get up to get a drink ever if you didn't want to. The food was great - a la cart restaurants were delicious, the buffet was consistently awesome and if you didn't feel like leaving your room, 24 hour room service with a ton of legit dishes on the menu was all included. All inclusive is legit at Secrets. All the staff we're welcoming and friendly, giving it a nice family vibe. Some of our favourites were Mendy, Lady, Yolendy (sorry if spelt wrong) and team at the bar right before the pool - they treated us like royalty and added a ton of fun to our day. Juldania in The Riveria (buffet) was lovely, she checked in on us daily and always asked for feedback - we enjoyed getting to know her during our stay. All the Riveria staff were great - always helpful, no wait for dishes to be taken or coffee to be refilled. Tons of options at the buffet, and if you didn't want to leave the pool/beach for lunch, you could just walk up to the snack bar/grill and grab something. The beach was well maintained, there was some seaweed on our last day but none all the days before - they had a big ol'tractor cleaning it up 2 or 3 times a day. The entertainment was also fun and the nightly shows were pretty well done. Mr. WooOWOoooow (Mr. Wow) was a great host and Julian/the other aquafit people/entertainers all made our trip more fun. The whole squad brought the energy every where they went.

Secrets Punta Cana was an amazing experience overall! We stayed for my birthday, and the service was truly the highlight — the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and went out of their way to make me feel celebrated the entire trip. The food was very good. Like most all-inclusive resorts, the food isn’t the main attraction, but it was consistently enjoyable. I recommend doing the restaurants for dinner and the buffet for breakfast, which had plenty of variety to start the day. If you’re looking for fun island drinks, definitely get the coco locos! Also, be sure to check what shows are happening during your stay — they were a great way to wind down in the evenings. Overall, an excellent resort with outstanding service, and I would absolutely recommend it for a relaxing and special getaway.

We had a great experience at Secrets Royal Beach! Our room was ready when we arrived. We did not do the Preferred and after being there a few days, do not feel it was necessary. We enjoyed the pool bar for a more social experience and to be around the daily activities. I only wish they didn't push so hard to upsell everything. Our housekeeper Maria was lovely. Butterfly was awesome at hosting all the events at the pool and the beach! Marvin and Wilson, the swim up bar bartenders were by far the highlight of the trip! The food was good but nothing to write home about except for the breakfast and Christmas eve buffet which were great. All the staff at the restaurants were very accommodating. We made lots of friends and lasting memories!

Great place with fantastic service. The hotel is getting some upgrades (disco being renovated, New Spa and new fitness Center) but definitely needs a over haul across the board as it is showing its age. I would recommend that they shut down entire wings come slow season and do a complete renovation as it is competing against 3 new Secrets resorts as well as 5 other new resorts. Bali beds need to be completely redone as they are missing panels, roofs or backs. If you are paying for a Bali bed ($50 per day) you expect it to be well maintained.

It's a nice, older all-inclusive. On the positive side, we loved the French restaurant. Be sure to try the lamb! Also, at the bali bed pool, Euri and Yo Yo were excellent servers. They went above and beyond for us!On the negative side, the resort itself needs some sprucing up. The worst was seeing the extensive mold on the canopies of the bali beds. The entertainment is not good, and the food at the buffet is just marginal. It rarely changes from day to day. If you're sensitive to smoking, this resort is not for you. There is a cigar store at the resort, and people were even smoking cigars from the pool loungers. The private pools are nice if you want more privacy, but be sure to get one in the sun, and bring bug spray as we had lots of mosquitoes around our private pool. The laundry lost two pairs of my pants which was extremely disappointing. We will not return for another stay. If you're looking for an elevated experience in Punta Cana, consider Secrets Cap Cana as everything about Cap Cana is top-notch! We found the service there, the amenities, and the food to be exceptional!

My husband and I just celebrated our honeymoon at this location! WOW, what an amazing experience! We decided on the preferred club, and it was absolutely worth it. Our room had a private pool, which was amazing to have our floating breakfast in. Our room was consistently stocked with cold drinks and snacks, and cleaned everyday. All of the restaurants and room service was delicious and met our cravings. You can’t beat the views, the pools, and the beach. We enjoyed all of the entertainment, from the beach Olympics, to the awesome pool DJ, to the nightly shows. The staff treated us like family and royalty. A shout out to a few of the staff who truly made our experience special. Alex bartended at the pool bar and is the BEST- always get his fresh made mai tai’s! Adrian from the French restaurant was so knowledgeable and fun; we loved that we also got to see him one day at the buffet. Brian, our butler, was always fast to respond and meet our needs; even when I wasn’t feeling well and needed Gatorade asap. Flower was my favorite dance partner at the night entertainment. All the staff were incredible, but these 4 are the best. If you are looking for a relaxing but fun vacation, you must try Secrets!

Not sure how this is a Diamond resort and there is nothing Royal about it. Very disappointed in my stay from top to bottom. When at check in, if you dont have Preffered they try to upsell you. Glad I didn't because there wasn't one thing that I would've wanted for an extra $660. The top shelf drinks are basic mid-tier in the US. They try to sell you on an expensive membership (timeshare) which I'm very glad I didn't do because it was on the 1st day and we didn't experience anything. The only pluses are the amount of pools, coco cafe, hibachi dinner and the staff at the manatee bar. You are entitled to use the Dreams amenities if you are staying at Secrets. The Mexican restaurant made me sick. We found ourself going to the buffet after eating at the specialty restaurants. The buffet has a good variety but terrible food. The desserts, ice cream, omelets, and pizza are real good. We ate omelets and pizza every day. The rooms are not bad or really matter much because we were never in them. The shows are some of the worst I've seen from any resort that I've visited. There is ZERO nightlife and most of the time no music at any of the pools and if there is its so low you can't hear it. They do have a band in the morning doing live music for 45 mins to a hour based on the theme of the day. The beach and ocean have a good amount of seaweed on it. To top it off the ocean/beach area has parasites that cause swimmers itch. My wife got it all over her feet, up just above her ankles. Made the last 2.5 days miserable. I will say that they at least try to clean the seaweed up but don'treally do a good job. Smoking isn't in designated areas so you have to continously battle the smokers. Definitely will never go back and not sure I'll try another Dreams or Secrets.

Out of the almost a dozen times visiting the DR this is our favorite resort (we have stayed at many)! The two times we have been here everything has been excellent! Marvis was very friendly and amazing helping us with anything we needed! Ernesto the Besto was I go to guy in the buffet and at the Mexican restaurant! Not a bad thing to say about our experience aside from our travel agent that thieved us for preferred without actually booking us preferred, we tried to negotiate at the counter but after already paying so much for the room from booking preferred, we decided to just go without it; honestly it was still a terrific vacation without! We can not wait to come back!
