Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana

My friend and I recently spent a week (6 nights) at Secrets Royal Beach, and could not have been more pleased with our experience! Our room was comfortable, and had a nice sized balcony and bathroom. Air conditioning worked great (and was much needed after days in the strong sun)! Housekeeping was wonderful, replenishing everything we needed each day (water bottles, towels, etc.) and they even had a turndown service so we got into freshly made beds every night! The food was also very good. We tried each of the restaurants and appreciated how they all had their own unique vibe. We also loved visiting the breakfast buffet and Coco's cafe every day (the coffee is spectacular). There are two pools, one larger (with music playing) and one smaller (and quieter). We spent time at both, and didn't have a problem snagging a chair in the mornings. There was no shortage of food and drinks available during the day, between the poolside bars, different themed buffets and the beachside grill (burgers, hot dogs, fries, salads, etc.) We didn't spend a ton of time at the beach, but loved how it was so easily accessible. Also loved how the resort was flat (no hills or stairs) and easy to navigate. The casino is quite small but still worth visiting. Everyone we met, from our fellow guests to the staff, were super friendly and welcoming. Special shoutout to the entertainment team - they had so much energy and kept the vibes high, whether by the pool during the day or at the evening parties! Overall, we loved our experience at Secrets Royal Beach and found it to be an excellent value for the price. Highly recommend if you're considering booking!

This place was amazing. I was stranded at the airport due to cancelled flight. Got reservation at 9 pm. They were so kind and accommodating for my stay. The room was unbelievably clean and smelled amazing. Breakfast was also amazing. The staff at this location is perfect! The location also appears to be safe with a few cute little restaurants. If you are looking for an off the resort type of location, I think this is a great option.

We just had our honeymoon at this resort (February 2026) and it was very nice. We did pay a bit more for the Preferred Club option and if you have that chance, I’d definitely take it. With the Preferred Club option, you get access to Preferred only pools and bars that are less busy than the others. We also had our own lounge area with food and drinks. There is also a Preferred Only section on the beach which is super nice and you don’t have to fight over chairs! Staff is very friendly and quick with any needs! We had a butler and he was awesome. I’d recommend downloading WhatsApp prior to the trip as that is how your butler will communicate with you! We brought a lot of $1 bills for tipping. It is custom to tip $1-$2 for any services you get, whether it’s a drink, food, carrying luggage, etc. I would recommend brining LOTS of 50+ sunscreen. Very easy to burn in the sun there! And if you run out, they charge $25 for sunscreen.

We had an amazing holiday celebrating my 50th birthday January 2026. This is truly a stunning adults-only resort, with wonderful, tasty food and excellent à la carte restaurants throughout. From the moment we arrived, the staff made our stay feel warm, welcoming, and incredibly special. They went above and beyond for our group, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms were beautiful, immaculately clean, and maintained to a very high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks, and the convenience of room service available at any time of day. The excursions arranged by the resort were highly recommended and well organised. The entertainment, both within the resort and on the beach, was always enjoyable. Relaxing by the clear pools and in the Bali beds was a real treat. I am especially grateful to have been looked after by some truly amazing chefs, managers, and front-of-house staff. A special thank you to Victor and his team at the wonderful Ocean Grill restaurant — the service was impeccable, and they really made my 50th birthday celebrations feel extra special. Front-of-house staff member Reyes was also fantastic; always smiling, attentive, and genuinely caring, ensuring we were well looked after at all times. Thank you, Reyes, for your generosity and hospitality.

We stayed at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana from February 10–16, 2026, and it was absolutely AMAZING! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The resort is stunning — beautifully maintained grounds, spotless rooms, incredible pools, and the beach is pure paradise. Every detail felt luxurious, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed. The food and drinks were top-tier, with so many delicious options to choose from each day. Whether lounging by the pool or enjoying dinner in the evening, everything felt five-star. What truly made our trip unforgettable, though, were the incredible staff members who went above and beyond for us. “Modesto the Besto” lives up to his name — he is hands down THE BEST! His energy, kindness, and attention to detail made every day brighter. Juan Jose also took such amazing care of us — always attentive, friendly, and making sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask. And Benathiel was wonderful as well — professional, warm, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel special. The level of service at this resort is unmatched. You can tell the staff truly care about creating an exceptional experience. We left feeling relaxed, spoiled, and already planning our return trip. If you’re considering Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana — book it. You will not regret it! ★★★★★ 5/5 – Highly, highly recommend!

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Secrets Royal Beach and it exceeded our expectations. The resort is beautiful and the restaurants were all amazing. We upgraded to the preferred club and it was definitely worth it. We spent a lot of our time in the preferred club area pool and swim up bar. Sebastian and Obispo were the bartenders and they were so friendly and service was great. Looking forward to coming back someday!

Spent two wonderful weeks here Dec 26 - Jan 9. Overall it was a great stay. We opted NOT to do Preferred club. I see the value for sure and next time likely we will but do not regret not doing it this time. Having travelled to Punta Cana 6x, I appreciated the staff here (friendlier than other resorts), beach was nice (they do their best with Sargassum), food was great if you are there for a week, can get kinda boring if they for 2+ weeks, 3 of the 5 À la Cartes were good / others were not BUT they were beautiful inside /staff were great / just the food wasn’t amazing. Entertainment was pretty good but nothing spectacular, loved the coffee shop. Beach was wonderful and where we spent 98% of our time - main pool is loud and more for socializing - I love a social life and came here on vacation to disconnect from everything so wasn’t into the pool scene. They play nice music at the pool and only half the day is Loud with deep bass music, other half is nice chill music. Main knock on this place is the locals who stand on the beach (remember the beaches in DR are public so they have a right to stand there) and ask absolutely everyone to join their or by from them a parasailing/snorkel/bananaboat/shopping excursion. Using these guys you might save $20-30USD. I say don’t support them and go through the resort cause you are more guaranteed safety and more trusted companies. While lying on the beach for two weeks I heard 3-4 families and couples arguing with this rogue sellers after they finished their excursions complaining of drunk boat drivers, poor conditions and safety. So ya be careful. Final thing - Sunrises are beautiful there / you do have to reserve your spot or beach’s chairs like all other resorts so get up early - 730am is fine / it is safe there and NEVER felt unsafe / love that it’s only 20-25 mins from airport / they do an AMAZING job for NewYearsEve!

HONEYMOON!! Came to Secrets for our honeymoon and truly could not have had a better experience. The food is amazing, the pool is a blast, the beach is relaxing, and it’s everything that we needed. But what I really want to highlight is the service. We decided to do the preferred club which was worth every penny. Diego was our main contact who answered every question or need we ever had within minutes. The Karaoke and sports bar was a blast every night and so were the theme nights. Our favorite part though was at the preferred bar with Julio Baez. He’s truly an incredible person who made our nights super fun.
