The staff here was toooooo good! Loved every moment. Everyone here was so friendly to my friend and I and even though it rained for two of the days we stayed it was still great. The rooms are clean, the food here was really yummy. I especially loved the omelette station for breakfast. The food options were vast, and to be honest my friend and I loved the buffet more than the restaurants. When you stay here you have access to the sister resort Dreams, so you basically have two resorts for the price of one.

My wife brought me here for my birthday, and upon arriving, the staff were extremely welcoming and very friendly. It was indeed a home away from home. Each restaurant we visited was absolutely amazing, and the servers were great as well! Ramoncito is an OUTSTANDING server and represents everything that Secrets Resort stands for. Whenever we saw him, he greeted us with a smile and made us feel as though we were part of the family. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to seeing you all again 'next week.' Thank you all so very much!!! You all made my birthday very memorable.

We had an overall negative experience on our recent stay here. Positives: the food is good, service is okay, Osvaldo our concierge did a great job! The beach was nice, but lots of seaweed. Negatives: The whole property was out of water for about 6 hours. Then we had no hot water for about 24 hours. Our room in building 5 had almost no air conditioning. The floors got so wet from the humidity that we had to put down towels to walk on it. (very slippery) They finally moved us to building 1 on the last 2 days of a 7 day visit. We paid for an ocean view and got moved to a tropical view with no compensation back. The last night there, we had no one service to our room, so I had to walk to the main shop to get bottled water at midnight. By the way, they tell you not to drink the faucet water. (only bottled water for everything except showers) The management and staff at the front desk didn't seem to care about our issues. They said they would take care of us, but of course, we have seen nothing. Unlike other Secrets resort, there is no upbeat music after noon at the pool. We don't need loud music, but something with some popular music would have been nice and more like other Secrets. They did have a musician play something a few days around 3 pm. This is our first bad experience at a Secrets resort. We will probably try again somewhere else, but never here again!

Our stay here has been nothing but amazing! This resort is so beautiful, very clean, and the staff is super friendly! We are preferred and have really enjoyed the lazy river. The beach is stunning. Very clean as well. They do an amazing job with the seaweed and we have hardly seen any since we have been here. The beach is big! The food has been good and fresh. Chairs can be hard to get if you don't get up early but if you aren't picky you should be able to find one. It is a quiet resort but there is stuff going on during the day and the staff try to keep you entertained. Music is playing at the main pool all day. We would definitely come back to this resort. We had a great time. Our butler Manny was great as well. We didn't use him a lot but he checked in with us daily and always said hi when he saw us and asked if we needed anything.

Great service and attention, food and drinks are good. Only issue is that there's isn't enough areas to escape the heat. 80% of the resort is either partially or completely exposed to the elements. Many areas need fans or a/c and even the areas that do have them, they turn off after whatever activity there has ended.

First thing, the resort is beautiful, landscaping well-manicured, staff very friendly and very attentive to ones needs. Restaurants were wonderful and evening shows were outstanding. I would recommend this property to anyone if it wasn’t for one thing. The main issue was the CONSTANT harassment of various vendors on the beach. My wife and I, along with other vacationers, paid hard earned money for a peaceful vacation. These vendors, for whatever reason, are allowed to roam among vacationers selling products (hats, shirts, cigars, liquor, toys, massages, photos with parrots/iguanas, etc.). Also, there are the other, more aggressive, vendors (vultures as I call them), who are not allowed to roam among the vacationers, but stand along the sand/water edge, very aggressively harassing folks as they go in the water or just want to take a walk. The mostly sell motorized water events (parasailing, party boats, banana boat rides, etc.). The main reason we chose this property was the fact that is was gated. Meaning no outside people should be wondering in and out. I’m 100% certain that these vendors do not have some sort of security check done on them. I would recommend having vendors stationed in central location where vacationers can walk to them. One other issue was stray dogs walking around. NO!!!! stray dogs should be roaming around.

Just spent 4 nights there and it was a great experience, starting with the staff. It was our second stay at a Secrets, having previously stayed at the Secrets Riviera south of Cancun. The staff was absolutely wonderful. With really no exceptions, everyone we encountered was very kind and patient and helpful, and as a result the whole vibe was very relaxed and casual. The Preferred upgrade wasn't especially exclusive, but it was worth it for access to the large restaurant next to the main pool and the separate beach areas. The drinks were generally better, too. The beach and the grounds are beautiful. The food was pretty good - a couple of dinners were just fine and a couple were excellent. Honestly, our go-to food option a few times a day were the burgers, fries, nachos and salads at the Barefoot Grill for lunch on the beach. The atmosphere felt lively without ever feeling crowded. Getting a table for dinner between 7 - 8 was a challenge, but we just had a late lunch and were fine. You also have to get to the beach or the pool fairly early to reserve a chair in a good spot, but they open up as the day goes on. All-in-all, I'd give it a 9/10, with a point off for food. If I were booking a trip to Punta Cana again I would 100% go back.

Beautiful pools. Nice room. The entire resort is very hot. The property sits far from the beach shore so you don’t get a lot of the beach breeze on the property like you may in some other resorts. No fans in the hallways or lobby so it’s verrryyy hot! The food was okay but I got sick. Something I ate here gave me digestive distress, fever, chills, diarrhea. They charged me $250 to check me out at the clinic and then wanted to send me to a local hospital which I refused as I was not comfortable going to a hospital in a country I don’t know. Other people in my group also experienced digestive distress. Reading reviews I realized there’s been issues dating as early as a couple days ago and since 2011.
