Secrets St. James Montego Bay

From the moment we got to the property it was the beginning of an amazing vacation. The staff was engaging and welcoming. They greeted us with "welcome home" and made us feel at home. If you are looking for relaxation with your spouse you will find it here and don't need to leave the resort. Most of the staff are the friendliest we've encountered. I say most because there is always one person who is having a bad day. We will definitely come back and spend more time at this fabulous resort.

Planning a destination wedding is no small task and a big indian wedding at that, but the team at Secrets St. James made the entire journey feel effortless — and unforgettable. From the moment I first visited the resort, they were by my side, step for step. There were far more highs than lows, and I truly believe my wedding week wouldn’t have been as perfect without them.||A heartfelt thank you to Shanelle Baker, the resort manager, and my incredible planner, Ideria Reid. Ideria made every single request possible — she never said no, and always found a way. From the first site visit to the final moments of the celebration, she was a calm, capable, and kind presence who made me feel completely supported.||The resort itself is stunning, but what truly sets it apart is the team. They worked seamlessly with all of my outside vendors, were always one step ahead, and made me feel like I was the only bride in the world.||A special shoutout to Shanelle for saving the day when my trial hair and makeup didn’t go as planned — within hours, she found me a new artist and stylist that I loved. That alone speaks volumes about the care they give to every detail. Thank you to Chinoy as well, who helped us as well.||We hosted four events:|• Day 1: Haldi Ceremony| • Day 2: Hindu Ceremony| • Day 3: Christian Ceremony| • Day 4: Reception||Each one was absolutely beautiful. Even when unexpected rain came during the last two days, the team stood by me. I told Ideria I wanted to wait it out — and they gave me the time and space to do so. The skies cleared, and I got to have the dream wedding I prayed for.||And I can’t forget some of the stars behind the scenes:| • Billy Love — always showing up with a golf cart and saving the day with a smile.| • Jahmal — more than just a bellhop, he genuinely took care of us.| • My sweet cleaning lady (I believe her name was Arlene) — she kept our room spotless the entire stay and was such a kind presence.|||I’ve never experienced a team that worked harder or cared more. Just back from a two week vacation. Lovely Hotel, very clean, rooms were well appointed, clean and well decorated. Pools were lovely, cleaned every day. Could not fault the food in all of the restaurants, was great good choice some of my family are a little fussy but always managed to find something suitable. Staff could not do enough for you especially Kadeen, Errol, (servers on the beach) Blaize (entertainment's team) and Trevor (Lobby Bar). Overall experience was excellent, If you are looking for a vacation in Jamacia well worth a visit.

First time at secrets st james. Or Jamaica for that matter. Adults only resort. What can I say, the people were friendly everywhere we went. Food was great, jerk chicken cart was worth chasing lol resort was very clean, water was great, ocean was crystal clear.(bring your googles and snorkel,wish I had) staff was amazing! Joy at the main dinning room was the best! We did the luminous lagoon tour, well worth it, it was fun to see some of the country. You can find weed anywhere just ask the bus driver, its legal and pretty good. Montego bay was beautiful and safe for tourist. The resort had bathrooms placed everywhere, bars everywhere, pools everywhere. Didnt have much trouble finding a bed or lounger. Plenty of them. Every night there was entertainment. Restaurants were great, we had hibachi and he put on a great show. It was beautiful. 100% would go back there.

Nalisha (beach server on the preferred beach close to, but before the Breathless beach)||She is lovely and my girl, Jolyn, and I love her. Nalisha is very attentive and playful. She always has a smile in her face which makes us so happy to be in her presence. Our drinks are always the way we want them and her willingness to converse makes me happy. My girl and I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. Nalisha makes us feel right at home in an unfamiliar country. Actually, Nalisha makes Jamaica feel familiar❤️❤️

We came here for our honeymoon and had a 10/10 experience from start to finish! From arriving and passing our luggage to the bellman, checking in, room service, dining, pools, bars, and entertainment, every single staff made us feel at home and like we were always the most important people. Beautiful views and plenty included. We added on a couples massage and would highly recommend as well. There are a variety of activities depending on your adventure level. We would recommend to anyone!

We went here for our holiday this year and omggg. I'm sooo happy we did, it was also my birthday as well so we did it up. Jamaica is amazing, the food, the people and this hotel was absolutely fantastic, it had everything you can think of. The restaurant were all good, very clean. They definitely go above and beyond. The room service, the house keepers, the bartenders and the entertainment was all excellent. I will definitely be back.

We just returned from our honeymoon and to quickly sum it up...PERFECTION! Lets dive in. Our package was a Preferred Club Jr King swim out suite and Butler service. From arrival at the resort through the end, everyone was very nice and engaging. Chase and Dane...absolute LEGENDS. They took care of everything from reservations to our daily activities. They are two of the most genuine folks I have ever met. The spa services were top notch and very refreshing. Food was top notch and the private dinner in the gazebo was unforgettable. The sunset magic, meal, and staff were top notch. The food at the restaurants was very good. The entertainment was all top notch. The Silver Birds steel orchestra were unreal. I play in a steel orchestra myself and they just stole the night with a great sound and energy. The piano bar was also a chill got spot for us. 2 bartenders that really stood out was Torrey and Akim. They had us laughing so much. Great conversations and vibes. They both wished us well with some great advice to live by for a long happy marriage. We will return.
