9 Best Adults-only All-inclusive Resorts in Jamaica

"A contemporary, all-suite resort prized for its convenient proximity to the airport and for offering a resort-within-resort feel via an upscale Preferred Club upgrade that unlocks an exclusive lounge, private pool and beach. Suites are designed for relaxation with calming palettes, whirlpool tubs and private balconies, and culinary options span several bars and about ten restaurants—from haute French to Pan-Asian—along with nightly entertainment and themed parties. Some rooms lack ocean views, so upgrades may be worthwhile for vistas or private-club amenities." - Lauren Dana Ellman Lauren Dana Ellman Lauren Dana Ellman is a New York-based writer and editor who specializes in travel, lifestyle, food, and shopping content. I recently returned from a 60th birthday celebration at Wild Orchid. It was an awesome experience. I've been to several resorts in Jamaica and I have to say this one was the best thus far. They offer many activities and live shows. It was Jamaica Day on one of my day's and the "Bob Marley Tribute" was excellent. We did karaoke and water aerobics. Lounged around the pool with exceptional service. An authentic jerk truck with plantain and corn visited the pool area daily. The Blue Mountain restaurant served delicious Jamaican cuisine; I had the oxtail. The Asian Infused restaurant was also delicious. We also got a massage at the Spa; best I've ever had. As I stated earlier, everyone was so accommodating. I'd like to shine a special shout out to a few people who made our stay EXTRA special: Karen (at the lobby bar), Amanda (our appointment Spa setter), Oscar, Erron (pool server), Ray, Peanut, Nadia, Janice, Nick (water aerobics instructor), Sayno, and Sherece (Pool server).

I truly don’t know where to begin, because this trip was more than a vacation — it became a moment in my life that I will never forget. Secrets Wild Orchid is breathtaking: the ocean views, the peaceful atmosphere, the warm and welcoming energy everywhere you go. But what makes this place truly extraordinary is the people who work here. I was staying at the resort during Hurricane Melissa, and during a situation that could have been frightening, I felt safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. The staff showed strength, compassion, and grace every single step of the way. They comforted us, reassured us, stayed organized, and treated us like family. Their calm presence and constant dedication meant everything. I will forever remember the kindness, patience, and humanity I experienced here. It’s one thing to enjoy a beautiful resort — it’s another to feel protected and cared for during one of the scariest moments of your life. I honestly cannot express the depth of my gratitude. You all truly touched my heart. To every staff member at Secrets Wild Orchid — thank you. You didn’t just work through a storm; you carried us through it. I am leaving with a full heart and a memory I will always hold close. This resort will forever have a special place in my life.

I booked Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay for my mother’s birthday, a rare opportunity for her to rest, as she is always caring for everyone else. After over an hour on hold confirming a date change, I was assured everything was ready. When we arrived, there was no shuttle, and I was denied entry for 20 minutes at the hotel gate despite showing my confirmation and passport, causing a backup and near heat exhaustion for everyone waiting in the blazing sun. It wasn't until the taxi driver made a scene that we finally got moving. Check-in was unorganized, and staff couldn’t locate my reservation or room. It took nearly two hours and calls to Hyatt before I was finally moved to the Preferred side I had reserved. During the stay, I was appalled by unsanitary conditions, fecal splashes on the toilet, dirty water served for tea (see pic), and yellow-tinged, foul-smelling water from the faucets. I requested follow-up from both the general manager and the director; neither followed through despite repeated promises. The room service manager, to his credit, took responsibility for the water issue and delivered cake and wine for my mother’s birthday, but this gesture could not make up for upper management’s failures. The only redeeming aspect was the kindness and professionalism of the general staff despite obvious systemic issues. For over $1,300 for two nights, the experience was unacceptable; unsanitary conditions, basic accommodations, no meaningful recognition of a special occasion, and lack of promised follow up from upper management. I usually stay with Marriott, but I gave Hyatt a chance. This experience made me deeply regret that decision.

Our experience at Secrets Wild Orchid was was nothing short of amazing. The staff delivered unprecedented service. Our guide Brandon was truly the best in the business. In addition we purchased the private Moonlight Dinner and couldn’t have been happier. This was our first trip to Jamaica 🇯🇲 and I can say we will definitely return. Rooms could use some updating.

Subject: Profound Gratitude to the Staff of Secrets Wild Orchids & St. James During Hurricane Melissa||To the entire Staff and Management of Jamaica Breathless and Secrets Orchids and St. James, We are writing to express our deepest and most profound gratitude for the incredible care, professionalism, and safety you provided to us during the terrifying ordeal of Hurricane Melissa.||From the very beginning, it was clear that you had a robust emergency preparedness plan. We want to personally call out and give praise and thankfulness to the managers—Philip, Francois, Radalfi, and Jason—and the entire Secrets staff. You not only had an Emergency Response plan, but you clearly communicated it to every guest, and then executed it with precision.||When the storm's full force hit and the roof was blown off the ballroom, your team had to pivot in a moment of extreme crisis. Without hesitation, you moved us all safely down into the bunker, keeping us safe and secure through the worst of it.||When we were finally able to emerge, the sight of the destroyed resort was shocking. Yet, even in the face of that devastation, your team's focus never wavered from the guests. You did everything in your power to keep us safe, secure, and remarkably well-fed.||But it was the Jamaican staff of Secrets who truly made all the difference.|We were, and still are, in awe of you. We know that many of you could not go home to check on your own homes or families. You were facing your own personal ordeals, not knowing what had happened to your loved ones or your property. And yet, you kept a smile on your face. You made us, as guests in your country, feel safe and welcomed.||The Secrets staff went above and beyond what any job description could ever ask. You cared for us while carrying the immense burden of your own fears and losses.|We cannot thank you enough for making us feel safe, secure, and well-fed while you were going through so much. ||Thank you, Secrets staff, from the bottom of our hearts. Because of you, we are Secrets members for Life and will come back to help support Jamaica. ||With deepest gratitude, Brian and Simone

Overall... excellent. Several trips to the carribean and mexico and this was the Best staff attitude and service ever. Hospitality is genuine and refreshing. You should talk with staff. Instant and sincere smiles and courtesy. When we commented, we consistently heard "that's how we are raised". So nice to have genuinely pleasant service-not trained or obligatory. Please chat with anyone from the grounds crew to the food service and front desk... excellent folks!||Now, as an aside... our 7 days were spent in anticipation of a tropical storm that turned into a Cat 5 hurricane. Airport closed 4 hours before our flight. Has to extend 4 days. The daily cost was too high but the storm prep was excellent and it will hit in about 12 hours. Should be interesting. The eye is supposed to pass right over Montego bay.

My best friend and I traveled to Jamaica for an October vacation.||We didn't have any idea there would be a hurricane. It was a very harrowing and humbling experience. Thank God we made it through without one guest out of 550 - and 200 staff members being injured.||||Prior to and after the hurricane - staff members were absolutely amazing.||Our needs were not just met - every concern and want was addressed. ||||I had a Butler that was the nicest and coolest young man I've ever met.||The housekeepers treated our rooms as if they belonged to themselves.||The food and restaurants were amazing.||||Due to the hurricane there wasn't much entertainment after a few days but||Jamaican music was always playing and staff were always making us laugh.||||In spite of the hurricane and the seriousness of the situation - I plan to visit||the resort again next year - if money and good health are available.||||To Me - It felt like home - because of the warm and genuine spirits of the ||Jamaican people.
