I've rented from this place for a long time, and while prior management wasn't perfect, I've never encountered anything like what I've seen these past few days.
I'll spare the all the details this time, but over the span of less than a week, had the payment portal not work, told not to worry, there would be no late fee, then a few days later there was a 300% late fee of $93 that they refused to waive, and another $93 late fee would be assessed Sat if the Fri late fee wasn't paid. This was partly due to an undated invoice that they randomly decided was due a couple days before my normal rent payment, even though there is no clear due date on the invoice, and the charge on the undated invoice was duplicated on an invoice due Jan 1.
Getting through this involved hand delivering a check at the last moment after a long drive. They initially said they wouldn't accept the check, because it didn't have a late fee for the undated invoice, but I left it anyways. Got an email a couple hours later the payment was accepted.
If you rent from this place, expect shenanigans and a super unhelpful head manager. Plenty of blame shifting, backpedaling and broken promises.
