Seehof Hotel Du Lac / Restaurant Weggis

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, made truly special thanks to Amanda and Mila. Both ladies treated us with exceptional care, warmth, and genuine kindness from the moment we arrived. Their willingness to help went above and beyond, and it made us feel truly welcome. Amanda and Mila are a real asset to the hotel — thanks to them, our stay was not just comfortable, but memorable. We would be more than happy to come back again and hope to see them next time 💙

A really clean hotel with a great location on the lake.  We liked all the staff. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent.  Breakfast being included was a nice way to start off the day.  It’s also steps from the bus and ferry station. Overall I’d recommend!

Our stay at the Seehof was pleasant but way overpriced - even for Switzerland. |We arrived for checkin at the right time but were told we would have to wait at least an hour as they were short staffed. We were given a voucher to spend while we waited but we couldn’t even have a coffee each without paying extra. |The restaurant supervisor (young lady with long blonde hair) had a serious “attitude” issue & was completely uninterested when we spoke to her during our stay.|The terrace at the front of the hotel had a lovely view of the lake but there wasn’t anywhere comfortable to sit other than in the restaurant area.

Weggis is a little nugget on the lake in Swiss. Best described by Mark Twain as most peaceful place in the world. The hotel is a classic being 100 plus yrs old. It’s quaint and from a different time- they don’t make hotels like this anymore. The price, location, service and breakfast is 5 star. The hotel is bang in front of the bus stop which connects to Lucerne and other rail stations. Rigi is the closest Mountain (about an hour away) and really good for a family day out in the snow. The best thing is the Ferry which stops 1 min away from the hotel which connects to Lucerne. We stayed here during the Xmas break and were very very happy with our choice.

My wife and I lunched today at the hotel restaurant on their patio overlooking Lake Luzerne. The view was breathtaking, the food and service excellent! A weekly special was offered that included a delicious Caprese salad starter, a choice of fish, vegetarian or chicken schnitzel as the main and a wonderful apple crumble cake for dessert. All the ingredients were outstanding! If you’re going to take a lake cruise in Lucerne, you must get off at Weggis and have lunch at the hotel restaurant.

Very nice Hotel beside the lake and close to the Cable car station to the Rigi Mountain, 5km from the rack train station.Very warm friendly employees. Very tasteful breakfast with crispy bread and croissant.It was a pity that we arrived the Hotel late and departure early next morning so we could only catch few hours of day light lake view. I had hesitation to choose this Hotel as the room is indicated only 12 square meters, but when we went inside we found it is double of this indicated surface. Wish Hotel and Trip.com could correct this mistake and gives this Hotel a deserved attention.

We stopped by this hotel after public transportation became limited around 8 PM and we needed to call our hotel for a taxi pickup. Our phones wouldn’t make calls, and our hotel had instructed us to reach out when we were ready to return. We politely asked the staff if we could use their phone and explained the situation clearly. Instead of offering even basic courtesy, they refused and laughed — telling us we were young and should just walk. The walk would have been about 45 minutes in the freezing dark, in a completely unfamiliar area to us. It was an extremely rude and unprofessional response. Luckily, a nearby restaurant was kind enough to help us. We really don’t expect much — just a little empathy. Unfortunately, that was completely missing here.

For the location, i will give a 5. The lady receptionist was not that cool with normal queries. Got a bit rude reply from her when we asked about keeping the luggage after checking out. But still..the hotel atmosphere is amazing. Added there is a girl at the hotel inside who is very cheerful and makes everyone energetic, so sorry that i didnt get her name. Room service and cleaning is good too. The breakfast is very minimal, could be a bit more better.

The most breathtaking peaceful Hotel. It has the feels of a very charming Inn. If you love Gilmore Girls Show as much as I do it would remind you of Lorelai's Dragonfly Inn. The views surrounding this enchanting hotel is so beautiful. I was here while pregnant and my stay couldn't have gotten any better. The staff was amazing so helpful & kind. I definitely recommend this hotel. Not knowing that the kitchen was closed, I had a pregnancy craving of chocolate swiss ice cream and they were so kind as to fix me a few scoops. This hotel is right on the lake and surrounded by many restaurants.

Such a tranquil place with a stunning lake view. We enjoyed a few draft beers at the port side patio and had an unforgettable afternoon by the lake.
