Seehotel Luitpold

The wonderful staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful. They made staying here an absolute pleasure. They can also cook a great omelette for breakfast. Dinners here were superb. The chef really knows what he or she is doing with quality of ingredients, flavour and presentation. Our room was comfortable with a great view of the lake, although it was a bit warm for us, even in late October. There are no tea making facilities as standard in the room, but they staff were kind enough to provide us with a kettle. The safe in the room didn't work. Nothing was stolen, and I didn't feel that it was a big risk, but I would have felt more comfortable I'd I had been able to leave my camera somewhere secure. For the location, it is clearly on the main road that runs along the lake side though Tegernsee, so no-one should be surprised by that. One of the docks for the little ferries that run along the south part of the lake is right outside the hotel, so that is very convenient. The hotel is also only a couple of minutes from the fabulous Monte-Mare lake spa / sauna, and the hotel can give you a discount card. That was better than any hotel sauna I have been to, but unlike a hotel sauna you do need to keep an eye on availability, and will certainly need to book on weekends, probably on a Friday, and perhaps weekdays during the busy season. If you are deciding between a hotel that has it's own sauna or this one that is 2 minutes from the Monte-Mare See sauna, I would choose this hotel.

Very charming hotel in a 18th building. So, no elevator! You have to carry your luggage up the stairs. |Decor was beautiful. Breakfast was good. We had a balcony facing the lake. The view was fantastic!|The only downside was the noise from the passing traffic. But when the windows are closed we were not quite bothered by the traffic.|No kettle for boiling hot water. No wine glasses in the room. They have a cozy bar at ground floor. Guess they want you to visit the bar there!

Old world charm with all the amenities you want and need |Great bed, comforter sind pillows.|The shower pressure was perfection after a long day of travel. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family. The lake and mountain range out the window was wonderful to wake to in the morning.

The scenery from the Balcony is absolutely to die for. The staff are super helpful and friendly, they answered all our requests happily. The Breakfast had quite a good variety of food which I liked, but they could have provided a bit more options. The rooms and the bathroom were very clean. They have a general classical design of the hotel and the rooms in general, which I find to suit the atmosphere in Tegernsee. They provide parking places directly in front of the hotel

What a lovely hotel and so well run. The staff were friendly and helpful, even though they changed shifts every couple of days, as it’s a small hotel they knew us and had a table reserved at breakfast for us. ||The room we had was large, the mezzanine floor really good to help give a divide between sleeping and relaxing lounge areas. The beds were really comfy, the shower great. Everything was kept clean and cleaned whilst we had breakfast most days. Having a fridge was handy, and if the weather had been warmer the terrace would have been useful too. As it was a big rainy and cool the heated floor was a real bonus, so I expect it would be lovely and cosy in winter. ||We could swim in the lake from directly opposite the hotel and I expect rooms on the front had great lake views. ||The food was good, extensive cocktail menu, and the bar area was cosy. ||It’s only a short walk to the railway station and the free Guest Card was really great for catching (free) buses round the lake, especially to the Wallberg cable car. We used the ferry too, but that is more expensive. ||Would definitely return here.

The positioning of the hotel is perfect. We were on the second floor and had a magnificent view of the lake from our balcony. The manager/owner Lorenza is a charming and helpful young lady, who speaks perfect Germany and English. The restaurant was brilliant. Food, service and atmosphere combined to create the perfect dining experience, whether breakfast or dinner. Whilst all the staff couldn’t do enough to help, we did enjoy a few laughs with our waiter Csaba, who not only kept drinks flowing for patrons in the bar area (which has a separate tapas style menu), but also popped into the main restaurant to assist if they need a helping hand.|Finally, the hotel is a beautiful traditional German building, with a first class revamped interior…and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend!

Amazing hotel: super pretty modern interior (was looking for something without traditional Bavarian aesthetic), great view to the lake. Very tasty breakfast with many options, nice service. Location is amazing too, just steps away from taking a swim in the lake and from a super nice spa.

We have visited Seehotel Luitpold as part of a family gathering and it was a tremendous experience. Not only that the staff is extraordinary in service and friendliness, but also the rooms and the building as well as the amenities are great. The staff welcomed us and introduced us to the hotel in an exceptional way. I can’t wait to come back to Seehotel Luitpold as quick as possible

Luitpold is an amazing hotel! First and foremost it's service is exceptional. Everyone we've met here was very helpful and professional. And when a lade came out of the building and went across the street with basket of fresh croissant to offer us a snack, she had me at hello :) Luitpold is also very well situated at beautiful lake Tangersee. All rooms with the lake view are nicely decorated and have their own balconies. The street is busy, as it goes around the lake, but the view compensates it. One thing that also coughs my attention is bathroom. Very well arranged so you have place to put your stuff exactly where you want it to be (including shelf under the shower). The only thing I am deducting one star is due to poor wifi. Not reachable by phone, breaking up with the computer. Nowadays it is a standard and when they improve it, 5 stars will appear!

Very nice hotel, 20 m from the lake (on the other side of a busy street around the lake). Rooms and interior are beautiful and historic. We had a great view on the lake and a large balcony in the third floor. Breakfast is nice, staff friendly, location good (5 m walk to Brauestueberl - beer garden).
