I would have given this place a mid-range, positive review for the room and view, but the experience at departure left us with a very negative impression. At check-out around 11 a.m., there was only one receptionist working, while two other “staff members” were hanging around without appearing to do much. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I shrugged and gestured to my wife to express that the situation wasn’t acceptable. At that point, one of the idle staff members — a young, tattooed man who didn’t come across as particularly friendly — approached me in an aggressive manner and asked, “perché hai fatto così?” (“Why did you do like that?”), referring to my gesture.||We are Italian/Italian-speaking, and I found his tone and the use of informal language (second person instead of the more respectful third person) highly inappropriate, especially given the age difference — we are a couple in our mid to late 50s. I responded by asking how he permitted himself to speak to guests that way, and why he was using the second person with customers, which in Italian is very disrespectful — especially from someone so young addressing people who could have been his parents. It felt confrontational and rude. For a moment, I was concerned he might escalate the situation physically, though he ultimately walked away after my reply.||What made the situation worse was that the receptionist standing next to him didn’t step in or attempt to defuse the situation, nor did she offer any apology for the unprofessional conduct. It left a very bad impression of the staff.||Note: The breakfast staff, in contrast, were very polite.
