I’ve been a huge fan of Seetanu for years now. The staff is generally friendly, the bungalows are decent, and the serene, relaxing beach has always been the true star of the show. However, during my recent visit, I was saddened to discover that the peaceful beach I loved is no more. Their neighbors at seatara have been constructing a massive complex, complete with an oversized sound system that blasts music from as early as 8 AM until late at night. They seem completely indifferent to the volume and bass levels, leaving the entire beach and Seetanu’s guests to endure constant thumping bass, whether you’re in your bungalow or trying to relax on the shore. It’s a real shame because the island as a whole has been changing for the worse over the past few years, and this is just one of those unfortunate shifts. Seetanu used to be my happy place, but sadly, those days seem to be gone. As much as it pains me to say, I won’t be returning anymore. I sincerely hope the owners of Seetanu address this issue with their neighbors and work to restore the tranquility that made this place so special.. Edit response to owner: no that is not true. I stayed 2 weeks at seetanu and they played loud music every single day. Also look up their instagram and you can see they program dj’s every other day.. really sort it out with them as they are ruining your business

I didn’t stay here so my review is based on experience at restaurant. Huge surprise to find such quality steak on the island. Delicious 😊. I also enjoyed salad and chocolate mousse dessert … top marks to kitchen for food and service was lovely 🙏

Excellent week. I booked three nights and ended up staying for a whole week. Right at the beach, rooms and property are clean and even a hammock to relax in the shade. I would stay here again. Staff speaks good English and is helpful

Very disappointing. The best thing about this place are the resorts next door. The rooms are shockingly bad. Aside from being dangerous, they are filthy. The while place is dirty. The staff seemed lazy. The management seemed non existant. I will say the breakfast was good and fresh though. The restaurant wasnt a nice place to sit at all. We were all so hugely disappointed in this place. We stayed in quite a few hotels on this trip, and this was the only one we couldnt waiti to leave. Aside from all that, it was quite a lot of money. 400 euros for 3 nights is double what it should have been. Yes, we had a beachfront bungalow, and the location of it was nice. But everything else just ruined the experience. Id avoid this place if i was you.

We LOVED it here. ||Great location on the beach. Most of the bungalows aren't beach view but still less than 30 second walk to be on a beautiful quiet beach.||We got one of the bungalows just behind the beachfront ones so were lucky enough to have a beautiful partial sea view.||Room was great had lots of amenities (much better equipped than many we've stayed in!):|- Bed side tables|- Large mosquito net|- Desk and chair|- Place to hang clothes|- Wall lamps|- Comfortable bed and pillows ||Pool was great to do lengths in HOWEVER around 9.30am every morning they would start to burn a big pile of plastic and other things right next to it which made it impossible to swim without being surrounded by a cloud of toxic smoke. ||The hammocks and chairs on the terrace were great and the location is within (very close) walking distance to 7-eleven and lots of restaurants and cafes.||We'd DEFINITELY stay again - one of our favourite places in Thailand!

Great location on the beach, the positioning of the bungalows is really nice, but the price is way too high for what you get. Thankfully my bungalow wasn’t as bad as I see in other reviews, but the brown walls, dark brown curtains and cheap furniture didn’t contribute to a happy stay. The staff could be a lot more friendly and welcoming. They were too cold. Overal, not a very good vibe and I’m so glad I found another bungalow on the same beach for almost half the price!

Where to start? The “bungalow” was infested with multiple bugs, from mosquitoes who made a pool out of the leaking shower pipe to the spider who built a nest above the bed and proudly had webs all around the room. The large gap between the door and the ceiling guarantees all crawlers will greet you in the middle of the night, including the cockroaches I found under the bed. Speaking of the bed, and towels, blood and other unidentifiable stains were EVERYWHERE. The hole behind the toilet and its state of filth is extra fun for those looking for a quick trip to the hospital, and if you hate privacy, absolutely book this place as the so-called curtains will let anyone look into your room at any point of the day. The tip of the iceberg was when they offered a 10% refund for the stay I never had. I checked in and right out, despite having a 3-day reservation here. This is more than Booking did - which is absolutely nothing. So really, great service all around. So in short, if you value hygiene, privacy, average+ service and your money, I would stay away.

My wife and I Stayed here for the last 3 nights of our 2 month stay in Thailand and could not have wished for a better spot. Bungalows are basic but kept very clean and ours stepped out onto the beautiful beach . Perfect sunsets without having to travel was a lovely bonus. Great bars in easy walking distance on the beach added to our experience. Staff were all extremely friendly polite and helpful. A lovely place to stay.
