Sefapane Lodge & Safaris

The hotel is very close to the gate to enter the Kruger. The room was spacious but could have been cleaner. Breakfast was good as well as dinner. We had once lunch and we weren’t impressed (there’s a different menu at lunch and dinner). I feel like a few things could be improved: the cleaning is currently done in the middle of the day (around 15:00) but since people mostly leave early in the morning for the Safari and come back in the afternoon this doesn’t work that well, also the pool was very dirty and never cleaned while we were there. The safaris and other activities were planned very well and we enjoyed them. The personnel was friendly and helpful.

This place is very lovely. All the staff members are very friendly and we enjoyed our stay a lot. My wife and I went on two full day Safaris in the Kruger Park. Everything was perfectly planned. Especially our driver, Donald, was such an amazing tour guide, he knows a lot of details about the animals and the park in general. We can highly recommend a stay at the Sefapane to enjoy your travel to south africa!

While placed in an ideal location (2 min from Kruger Gate) there are other improvements needed. The staff weren’t friendly nor welcoming, the rooms weren’t entirely clean, play area and swimming pool in poor conditions. ||||One positive thing is that the food from the restaurant is really good (a la carte). The breakfast buffet included in the room price is very limited in options.

If you love nature this is the best place since there are a lot of tree 🌲🌴 and you can done in the garden or next to the pool end enjoy your yummy 🤤 😋😋 food , there is a beautiful bar and a restaurant with friendly staff. There is also a body spa massage

We stayed for 2 nights in 2 separate huts. Both were clean, well-maintained and cosy. We did a morning safari and evening safari. It’s a great way to explore the Kruger park and spot all the beautiful animals. I will say, the evening safari guide was much more enthousiastic and passionate about his job. The guide we had in the morning was nice but didn’t tell us a lot about the animals like the other guide did. I guess you just need a bit of luck but the safari will be a nice experience either way. The pool was great for relaxing, although a bit cold for this time of year (African winter). There are lounging chairs and normal tables on the poolside and a bar on one end of the pool. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel if you want. Breakfast was simple but fine, not too many options but just a regular hotel breakfast. For lunch and dinner they have more choice, and the food was tasty. The service could be better. Although the staff was friendly, our dinner took an unnecessarily long time to arrive. Overall a nice hotel, great for staying a few nights but could do with some minor improvements

We had a lovely birthday weekend getaway. The staff is friendly and warm. The massages and game drive were amazing. The Friday night playlist was lit.

I went there on new year day 1st of Jan. The food took long but was delicious and worth the wait. I suppose they where working on limited stuff due to the holiday. As the menu was also limited. I would recommend 👌 the place though. Enough space and swimming pool available. Nice place

It was amazing. I gave it 4 stars because I haven't slept there yet. It was so clean, the food presented and our reserved table was placed well and moved to a suitable place for my family and I, upon request. Quite a clean lodge, my mom enjoyed her full body massage. Their overall service was impeccable!
