The food was good, well seasoned and grilled. Pita was good. One of our lamb chops was undercooked. The chicken testi was a nice show, and the ottoman kebab was a lot of food and also presented as a show with sparklers.
Service was another story, they were generally respectful and grateful for our patronage during meal service, but they forgot about our drink orders.
The BIG negative was during the very end when we were checking out. Be aware this restaurant hassles tourists for cash payments. My party didn't have enough cash, despite that, the waiter tried to pressure us into going to an ATM to withdraw cash. They claimed the card machine was broken, like many other reviews. However, we stayed firm and threatened leaving without paying if they couldn't fix their machine. Miraculously, they managed to fix their machine to collect payment.
Isn't it great to have such a skilled repair man who also moonlights as a waiter?
Edit: to the restaurant's reply: don't lie to your customer and say the card machine is broken. Start with offering a cash payment discount, and if the customer declines and wishes to pay by card, don't pressure them to go to an ATM to get cash. That's basic human decency and just good customer service, you win if they take the discount, and the customer is happy you offered. Pushing is always going to get you negative reviews.
