Everything exceeded expectations. From the moment we drove off ferry, we were welcomed to a beautiful, clean, and friendly accommodation. We were greeted upon arrival and escorted to our rooms. My room was spectacular and had amazing views. I saw whales and sea otters off my deck. The room was incredibly well appointed. The linens and towels luxurious. Bed amazing. The room included a fully equipped kitchen. Every thing was spotless and in perfect working order. There was nothing wanting in the room. I would highly recommend this as get away location in a unique area off northern Vancouver Island. Thank you, Colin, for making it a memorable trip with my friends.

We arrived hours before check-in and found the owner tending his amazing flower garden. To our delight the room was ready and it exceeded our expectations in every way - spotlessly clean throughout, comfortable bed, good heating, lots of windows for fresh air, spacious private decks, lots of parking, kitchenette with everything we needed. Plus a terrific view. Do not hesitate to stay here - the owner did all the custom finishing in the units himself and he is super nice with many interesting stories about life in Alert Bay. Magical Waterfront Getaway! Seine Boat Inn exceeded all of our expectations! This romantic waterfront gem in Alert Bay offers breathtaking water views and incredibly spacious, well-appointed rooms. The thoughtful amenities are outstanding, from the excellent fridge and hot water kettle to the convenient toaster oven, everything you need is provided. The kitchen setup is perfect for preparing light meals and morning and evening tea. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional hospitality from the staff, they're genuinely kind and welcoming. Peter and Aileen are the sweetest humans, we’re so grateful for their superior customer service 🙏🏽The location right on the water creates an unforgettable atmosphere, especially for couples seeking a romantic retreat. Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure guest comfort. The bathroom is beautiful and clean, great quality towels and wood floors. We'll definitely be returning to this special place! Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful waterfront escape with top-notch amenities and service.

The sea laps right underneath this lovely little place do you are soothed to sleep by the waves.|Glorious views over the water and a stunning display of colour from the many pots of flowering plants on the deck. |Rooms are very well designed and tasteful. No storage for clothes, but that didn’t bother us. |Alert Bay is an unusual community and really interesting to explore - you can do the whole island on foot. |Just make sure you know when the Orca restaurant is open and be prepared to get food from the village shop for your meals. |Really recommend as a wonderful and relaxing place to stay.

We live on Vancouver Island and wanted to stay relatively close to home for holidays this summer.|We love the north Island and area and this time decided to explore beautiful Alert Bay. ||Seine Boat Inn is beautiful and comfortable. We were fortunate enough to secure room 105 which is right over the water. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was beautifully designed, clean, and very comfortable. The highlight was definitely the incredible view, waking up to the ocean right outside our window was unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Simple, comfortable hotel with great views. What truly makes it special is Peter — incredibly helpful with sightseeing tips, arranging dinner reservations, and, most memorably, caring for our puppy while we went on a whale-watching tour. An exceptional host and a truly wonderful person.

Incredible stay. Book room 205 if you can for the most stunning views. Peter checked us in and was so friendly. All the other staff we saw were warm and welcoming. Great location a three minute walk from the ferry terminal.

Lovely peaceful place. Sitting just outside the door to our room watching the water and listening to the sounds of the water are so relaxing. Very clean rooms with all sorts of lovely detail in the restored wood used in the rooms. Can't wait to go back again. Bed wonderful, bathroom roomy and with heat and great water pressure. Barbecue other deck good for fixing your own dinner.

I was fortunate to stay in a water-view room. It was lovely. I am looking forward to returning.

This is a great accommodation in Alert Bay. The Island itself is one of the hidden gems in British Columbia. Located right on the waterfront so your room will overlook the blue sea, and a 5-minute walk from the ferry station. This is also not too far away from the Cormorant Island's ecological park (where the lovely marshland is located). This has plenty of character. The wooden balcony surrounds almost the entire second floor. This is a perfect spot to read your book in the summer. This lovely "beach" house displays First Nations masks at their front desk which adds a lovely touch to their "welcome" area. The lady (perhaps the caretaker) was friendly right off the bat. We thought we lost our keys, and had called her to help us find it. She seemed happy to have helped us. Our room was extremely clean with a cozy and comfortable bed. I would absolutely recommend this to my family and friends.

What a lovely place to stay in alert bay. Our hostess Terry Lynn was fabulous. Took the time to show me around, and share a little bit about the town. All the rooms are great, beautifully furnished, wooden floors, and extremely clean. It is located pretty much in the centre of town, very close to the ferry, and all amenities. You can walk anywhere from here I would love to return someday, what a find!

I loved this place! Comfortable room with a great view and Colin Richie is the warmest of hosts. The hotel is central to most everything that is Alert Bay and covered in enough nostalgia that, after a week there, you may feel as if you were born on the island. This hotel is amazing! The rooms are literally right above the ocean where you can let the waves lull you to sleep. It is situated in the downtown core. The rooms are all very clean, new, unique, roomy & so comfortable that you won't want to get out of bed. Check in & check out was a breeze. I can't say enough about this hotel! Thank you Colin for making my stay the most comfortable & relaxing stay ever!
