Highlights

Circa-1700s rowhouse-turned-relaxed hotel offering a restaurant & a microbrewery. In an 18th-century half-timbered rowhouse, this casual, family-run hotel is a 6-minute walk from the medieval Greyfriars Abbey and 7 minutes' walk from Ystad train station. The genteel, individually decorated rooms feature Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus en suite bathrooms. Some have beamed ceilings, wood floors and/or kitchenettes. Suites add separate living areas. A breakfast buffet is served in a laid-back restaurant. There's also a microbrewery, a sauna and a garden.

Nice hotel, old style hotel like the city. Simple and had no distractions. Stayed only 1 night but worth it. Perfect location for the small city. Great breakfast though.

The Hotel is really nice, amazing ancient traditional building. The rooms are clean and big, a bit old fashioned but is in the style of the hotel. Check-in is within 8 pm, which is not always comfortable for travelers. Sauna is promised in the ad, but practically non existing. We tried twice and the lady at the reception couldn’t find the key!!

Could be a really great little hotel but it's a B&B. Nothing more. It's a bit scruffy and could do with tidying up. Suspect the owners have been there a long time, and it shows. Needs a reboot. The breakfast table was propped up by plastic boxes. Space at breakfast is too tight. One man staying in a bedroom off the dining area had a job getting in and out of his room. The electrics look dangerous. We found generally in Sweden though not always that hospitality was somewhat lacking. The staff we did meet was helpful though. (Housekeeping and breakfast)

For me, the hotel reminds me of quaint and unique places in England: all the rooms are decorated completely differently, there is lovely old wallpaper, the furniture is a wonderful mix of antiques and flea finds. The staff is friendly and helpful. So, if you want a stay out of the ordinary - this is the place for you.

Charming hotel, but dirty rooms and bathrooms. The extra pillows were in a corner of the floor with no cover. Messy breakfast area, cheap solutions and staff “on your toes” having private conversations.

We stayed here for one night in August. Central location in Ystad. The hotel provides no parking. You have to find your own. The hotel is old and charming. Several small houses all together with a nice garden where you can relax and also have breakfast. The breakfast area was very small and a lot of people at the same time. The hotel should have different time seatings for breakfast to make it more covid safe. Our room was very small. The bed in bad shape. For the price you expect more.

Thank you to our lovely hosts and staff for a beautiful stay. We loved the old building: quaint and romantic. Our room was cozy, our bed was comfy (most/all beds are two singles pushed together and called a 'queen bed'), the wifi access was superb (free), breakfast was delicious and filling (included). We had free parking about 1 block away. The hotel location was very central and within walking distance to everything downtown (re. location, only drawback was the very close, loud church bells ringing hourly and 1/2 hourly). There are 2 or 3 buildings it seemed. Several of the rooms face out to the streets and the others face a large courtyard. We had room 31 and it was small but enough room for two of us - the shower was the only thing that was super narrow/small. It had a refrigerator and two very large windows (only one window you can open). The ceilings were about 3.5 meters or so? Very tall which gave the room more of a large feel. Never saw the adjacent pub open during the hours posted (but perhaps they open when suited).

Very old buildings but nice individually decorated rooms. It is located in the centre of town although some booking pages give the distance as 5.5 km away but that is not correct. Enjoy your breakfast in the garden in the summer or pick pears from a tree in the autumn
