Sekelgården Hotel Anno 1793

Stayed two nights before we headed for a hiking trip across the Baltic Coast toward Kivik. The inn is just a few easy blocks from train station. Lovely little town is a few blocks in the other direction. Our room was in a quiet wing of three rooms, had two separate bed areas (very nice since we were mother and adult daughter and are used to our own spaces). Bathroom was spacious, water precious was great. |Breakfast was tasty and fresh, although no hot food was offered (typical of Scandinavian breakfast). Fresh vegetables, cold meat, sliced fruit, boiled eggs and several types of bread and cheese were available, as well as coffee, tea and juice.|The staff were all friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke English very well (fortunately, since we are American and don't speak Swedish).

Its such a beautiful little Hotel! We were there 4 days 3 nights. They had a perfect little breakfast ready every morning and you can eat out in the sweetest little garden!! The room we had was absolutely perfect, it's so cute and quaint. The owner was so kind to us, gave us great suggestions on where to eat or have a drink. Even suggested much better and cheaper parking! We fell in love with this Hotel and hope to make it a yearly stop! ❤️

Could be a really great little hotel but it's a B&B. Nothing more. It's a bit scruffy and could do with tidying up. Suspect the owners have been there a long time, and it shows. Needs a reboot. The breakfast table was propped up by plastic boxes. Space at breakfast is too tight. One man staying in a bedroom off the dining area had a job getting in and out of his room. The electrics look dangerous. We found generally in Sweden though not always that hospitality was somewhat lacking. The staff we did meet was helpful though. (Housekeeping and breakfast)

The Hotel is really nice, amazing ancient traditional building. The rooms are clean and big, a bit old fashioned but is in the style of the hotel. Check-in is within 8 pm, which is not always comfortable for travelers. Sauna is promised in the ad, but practically non existing. We tried twice and the lady at the reception couldn’t find the key!!

For me, the hotel reminds me of quaint and unique places in England: all the rooms are decorated completely differently, there is lovely old wallpaper, the furniture is a wonderful mix of antiques and flea finds. The staff is friendly and helpful. So, if you want a stay out of the ordinary - this is the place for you.

While reading some of the ratings we weren't expecting a huge amount of comfort. The perfect way to be surprised by the oposite. We had a great time at Anno 1793 Sekelgärden, at the heart of Ystad. We didn't miss anything: we could rent bikes to see the nice surroundings, ate breakfast in the yard and they even ofered to wash our cloths. Thanks for everything, we'd love to come back!

We stayed here for one night in August. Central location in Ystad. The hotel provides no parking. You have to find your own. The hotel is old and charming. Several small houses all together with a nice garden where you can relax and also have breakfast. The breakfast area was very small and a lot of people at the same time. The hotel should have different time seatings for breakfast to make it more covid safe. Our room was very small. The bed in bad shape. For the price you expect more.

Very old buildings but nice individually decorated rooms. It is located in the centre of town although some booking pages give the distance as 5.5 km away but that is not correct. Enjoy your breakfast in the garden in the summer or pick pears from a tree in the autumn
