our travel agent has booked us to stay at this place for 3nights . the place is generally clean and the tent is comfortable though a bit of walk to the main dining hall. Nothing much to do and the tent is basic. No kettle to make a coffee. the staff are alright doing their duty. The meals are basic and food very plain. after staying two nights on the third morning, a man claimed to be the manager, speaking barely any english told us " we must leave". He said that they need to start work to do some repair at our tent and they are shifting us to another place. We thought they are upgrading us to another better tent. We declined the shift as the following morning we were supposed to check out . The manager was very rude, without a smile and insisted that we have to go. at about 4pm, we came back from the game, and three of their staff were waiting outside our tent. Very unhappily, my wife packed up , squeezed all things into our bags and left. On the way out, we saw they have decorated the dining hall with long tables lined with cutlery and wine glasses, definitely a large party. We realised we were chased out because we were the only two guests left and they did not want us to eat in their hall. Instead of "upgrading us to another better tent", we were actually sent to another smaller hotel some 15 min drive away. We were so upset that our agent has booked this sekenani for us. We were chased away like a tenant who did not pay their rent. The manager did not treat his clients with respect and with fairness. we dont mind not to eat at the dining hall if they want exclusiveness for the party, but after receiving our booking and payment , how could they tell us " you must go". I am now thinking to lodge a proper complaint to our kenya embassy in our country.

Our 3-night stay at Sekenani Camp in the Maasai Mara was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a truly serene environment. The camp is beautifully nestled in the wilderness, offering an authentic and intimate safari experience. The tents were spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, blending luxury with the rustic charm of the Mara. The sound of wildlife at night added a magical touch, making us feel deeply connected to nature. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of and that we felt at home throughout our stay. The game drives were spectacular, with knowledgeable guides who made each outing exciting and informative. We saw the Big Five and so much more, all while learning about the local wildlife and culture. The food was also fantastic, with a variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes. Overall, Sekenani Camp exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s the perfect blend of comfort and adventure, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the magic of the Maasai Mara.

The camp itself is magical. Five stars for location, rooms and grounds. Baboons and other monkeys live in the trees, mornings find zebras and giraffes grazing in the field in front of the dining room. The staff is 5-star. Every single one. Service is kind and complete. Every need is seen to, some you didn't even know you had. I have a bad back and the beds in the glam tents are wonderfully comfortable. Nice firm mattresses with big soft pillows and comforters. VERY clean, spotless really. Our hot water wasn't working and they came to see to it right away. At night they brought hot water bottles with knitted socks on them to warm the beds and they somehow stayed warm all night. My only note would be the food. 3-star at best. Plenty of it. You don't come for the food so whatever, but the chef needs some notes. Undercooked chicken, over-cooked fish. Advice to order the stewed and skewered meat items. Mostly curries. Very tasty. Stick to rice, curried meats, stews and soups and you will be fine. The boxed lunches they sent on safari day were great and very satisfying. If you are a super picky eater you might not be happy but we really enjoyed as we are flexible and not too food focused.

Sekenani Camp was an amazing experience. So clean and the service was impeccable. We learnt a lot about the Maasai culture talking to Lazaro and Moses. I really hope people are as lucky as us and get to go to this amazing place with such great people. The food is also very nice and the location in the middle of the savannah is incredible. I recommend coming here 100% as the price and quality are a perfect match.

This is a excellent camp with everything you could need, but no frills. It is situated in amongst the woodland with chances to see some wildlife. This year we saw Baboons , Bushbuck and Waterbuck. All the staff are excellent very friendly and extremely helpful. The food on offer is excellent with some choice. This only thing is the road to the camp is quite rough. We did have an issue with s small rocky stream when it rained heavy. It meant that the vehicles couldn't safely cross the stream thought some did brave the crossing.

Our stay at the Sekenani Camp was very very pleasant. They were responsive on both email and whatsapp, and were flexible. We opted for the road package option. They picked us up on time from our hotel in Nairobi. The staff are all very friendly. The camp itself was fantastic! It’s located inside the reserve, very accessible from the entrance gate of the reserve, and you can even spot a lot of animals on your way to the Camp. We appreciated the calm and seclusion offered by the Sekenani Camp, located at the source of the Sekenani river. The tents as well, were great, equipped (hot water, electricity) and cozy! The food was very good and the service amazing. Our guide for the game drives was local, friendly, and very knowledgeable, he adapted the tours to our preferences and needs. We had a packed lunch once facing the Mara river and the hippos; and breakfast with a view of a herd of elephants (in addition to all the game drives and discoveries!). It was a once in a life time experience, and we are extremely satisfied to have spent it in the Sekenani Camp. Recommended!!!
