Selimiye Camii

Unfortunately, the mosque is in an extensive restoration process, which does not seem to end soon. It is not possible to visit the interior. All you can do is spin around it, through the clouds of dust raised by the builders.

It was under renovation when we arrived, but it looks very grand from the outside, so it's worth a visit.

I got the “Indiana Jones” vibe there. The place is really beautiful for Instagram and TikTok. 3 minute walk from the border checkpoint in the North Nicosia. It is a free entry.

Cathedral turned into a mosque. Free entry but they do have some restrictions on dress code for ladies, no short clothing and they require you cover your head with a hijab, which they provide before you go in. Everyone needs to take off their shoes. It is serene and you might find a few believers making their prayers.

Really unique building! We take a walk around it but we don't opportunity to visit the mosque inside because of the Muslim praying. You can see the long history of the island on the building.

Unfortunately it's closed due to renovation but it looks nice.

Unfortunately under renovation when i have visited the place. Suggestive big mosque in the heart of the Turkish side of Nicosia, just close to the big indoor market. A magic place with a suggestive atmosphere.
