During our first stay, we were very satisfied and had a great experience. The Location is amazing.
Unfortunately, our second visit was disappointing. When making the booking, we specifically asked whether it would be possible to stay in the same room as before (room 1103), as we had read online that not all rooms were equally good, and room 1103 had been very comfortable for us. We were told in advance that this would be possible.
However, upon arrival, the room was already occupied. This was especially frustrating, as I have never experienced before that a confirmed room reservation could not be honored. The alternative rooms offered were not suitable, and no real effort was made to accommodate us.
We also asked if it would be possible to book two rooms instead, as we were five people and wanted to split up. Even then, we were not allowed to pay the price difference shown on Booking.com. Instead, we were asked to pay four to five times more.
Overall, this was very disappointing. We expected a much better level of service, especially considering our positive experience during our first stay.
