Best staff: Ashley and Oscar.
Worst: the woman who checked me in had a tired and impatient attitude. I’m glad I didn’t see her face after that day. I might have overcome my social anxiety just to call her out. You don’t get annoyed with people who stutter or struggle to communicate, especially when you know there’s a language barrier.
Ashley was so helpful when on my first day I got the travel equivalent of stage fright and struggled to speak at all. She helped me figure out how I would get breakfast for my early morning excursion and also told me where the nearest supermarket was because the one next-door was essentially just a very expensive convenience store.
I was only able to do the 10 minute free massage with Oscar, but it was the most efficient massage I’ve ever had. All kinks in my back from carrying a heavy duffel bag everywhere? Gone. The tension in my neck? Gone. I finally felt my shoulders able to go back to the normal position.
I don’t remember the name of people on the restaurant staff, but they were the best part of the experience . The food included with my room was excellent, and it made it so that I wouldn’t have to buy food at all for the rest of the day; it was that filling.
However, someone on the hotel staff stole my chocolate, almost $30 worth of it. I know it was a staff member because no one else was in the lobby when I was picked up. The staff were having a team meeting in the restaurant. As someone on a budget, I did actually cry when I realized it was gone. Also they never fixed the clogged shower drain.
