We wanted to like this place but there were several odd things that made it pale in comparison to many other places (including hostels!).
Summary: The overall theme is 'incompleteness', which I define as furnishings/services looking good on the surface, but weren't quite finished or thought through. So a hotel on the surface ,but a motel when you experience it.
Here are some examples:
1) The shower area in the bathroom had no door/screen. The floor wasn’t built in a way to get water to flow to the drain so the bathroom gets very wet.
2) The hairdryer is in the bathroom, mounted on the wall, but because of (1), this seems to be a electrical hazard since water could easily reach the socket.
3) Common dining area had unopened ikea furniture boxes lying around.
4) Common area is closed for the paid breakfast, so if you didn’t opt for breakfast, the loosely enforced policy was that guests could not use the area. Not sure if this is a one off policy or standard.
The strength of this place is at it is well located, has nice views, and provides you with a bed and hot shower. Because of those reasons, there will likely always be demand for this. However if you can find similarly priced locations in the area, those might be more worth it.
