How to Plan a Ski Trip to Idaho's Schweitzer Mountain
"Across the way from the base area, Selkirk Lodge delivers a classic, lived-in lodge feel — think leather couches and wood-heavy accents — that felt cozy and traditional after skiing." - Evie Carrick

Amazing viewpoint not far from Spokane. If you haven't been- its worth checking it out! Views in all directions. We ride our horses up to it and have a lunchbreak there, then ride the trail back, but you can drive within a short walking distance to it.

First, this is not a place to sleep, it's a parking lot for the trails. There is a little building with tables inside and the ski patrol but that was all closed when we were there. The trails and nature are amazing though. Brought the kids here to play in the snow. Maybe it's because the snow season just ended or because it was a Friday but the place was pretty empty which was really nice.

Warming hut with tables, real toilets, facilities outside to rent skis, and a ski waxing station on the deck . There is hot water for tea, coffee.
Great parking, this is the main lodge for the x country trail system

Great place for hikes and berries in the summer. A day use park pass for people out of state is $10 because it’s a state park and $30 for an annual pass. Cross country skiing here is some of the best around. The worst part about Mt. Spokane is the terrible twisty road leading to the top.

Just went cross country skiing for the first time. Had a blast. If the weather is right, they have nice grooves to follow on the right and left sides. You do need a pass to park. Its just over $20 for the day, or $80 for the year.
