Selong Selo Resort & Villas

We had an amazing 3 night stay at Selong Selo staying in a 2 bed villa! Stunning views over the bay and beach, comfortable and clean, great food and amazing staff! The spa is also incredible! Only downside is if you don’t have your own transport you are limited with being able to get places unless you get shuttle (only goes a couple of times a day) book a tour or pay for a taxi through the hotel which is slightly expensive for a short journey to the beach!

Recently stayed at Selong Selo in Lombok and wow this place is on another level. We stayed in a two-bedroom bespoke villa and the view was honestly one of the most breathtaking things I’ve ever experienced. Waking up to that panorama felt unreal, like something out of a movie. The staff were incredible warm, friendly, and genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. Even when we were initially placed in the wrong room, they handled it so quickly and professionally that it actually highlighted how good their service is. The facilities are top-notch, the restaurant is fantastic, and everything about the property just radiates quality and relaxation. We absolutely loved our two-night stay and will 100% be back. Selong Selo is a true gem in Lombok.

Just spent 10 Days with my partner here at Selong Selo. We had Villa 9E which I believe means “in the sky” and it truly lived up to its name. The views are breathtaking. The villa itself is fantastic with two bedrooms, a media room, living and dining areas all opening onto a a large terrace with sizeable infinity pool. The villa is first class and all the amenities support this. We had a few technical problems, but they were fixed immediately by very supportive staff. The staff overall were outstanding, with a real warmth and it felt like they truly wanted you to be there. Breakfast each day was a delight although the menu would benefit from a few additions. The food was first rate and again the staff just elevated the entire experience. Dinner was the same The SPA was first class with highly trained and very welcoming staff, made a few visits and enjoyed each one. Although it is remote from the Kuta nightlife we did make a few trips in, but found many quality beaches and restaurants within 15 mins drive. We had a rental car which simplifies the process. It was our first visit to Lombok and we were a little apprehensive, however Selong Selo is a truly world class resort ( think six senses, 4 seasons ) In a more intimate and affordable package. Well done to the entire Selong Selo team, you represent outstanding service and we thank you for making our holiday truly special, can’t wait to get back

We chose to stay here because we were looking for a very private and quiet getaway, and it was exactly what we needed. The experience exceeded our expectations. Our butler, Alif, was exceptional—he arranged a scooter for us at a moment’s notice and delivered it directly to our villa. Throughout our stay, he made sure we had everything we needed and was always offering helpful suggestions, from drivers to excursions, to make our time even more enjoyable. Thank you, Alif, for everything—you truly made our stay special.

I am giving 2 stars solely because the view from the villa is absolutely sensational. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The villa itself was in a very worn-out state. Worst of all, there was a constant smell of sewage, making one room completely unlivable. To be fair, I must mention that the management tried very hard to help and provided a replacement villa so that the couple staying in that room had somewhere to sleep. However, the general hygiene was unacceptable. The pool was dirty, and even the glasses and cutlery in the kitchen were grimy. Everything is run-down and grubby. The restaurant experience was horrible. I am not joking when I say we were served a frozen supermarket pizza for €8. Simply unbelievable for a resort claiming this standard. I cannot recommend staying here until they do a major renovation and fix the kitchen. What really left a bad taste, however, was the billing. We were overcharged for groceries, and the staff bought the wrong items (for example, fennel instead of dill). Despite their mistake, they were not accommodating and we still had to pay for the wrong items. We also realized too late that the massages were wrongly billed (overcharged). Again, the management refused to correct this or offer any compensation. It is sad to see, but the condition of the resort seems to be getting worse year after year. It is clear that the current management has no intention of changing anything or investing in maintenance. We will not come back.

Our villa had the most incredible view! Between the outstanding accommodations, service, and food I had the most amazing time. I highly recommend to all. The Selong Selo staff goes out of their way to make your experience as comfortable and luxurious as possible. They are great!

Review of Selong Selo Villa The villa was beautiful with a truly stunning view. However, the water in both the shower and the toilet did not seem to work properly. Massage We had a massage, but it did not meet our expectations. We had booked a hand, foot, and head massage, but instead we were given a back and leg massage. Food The breakfast was really good, but the Indonesian buffet did not live up to our expectations. Private Dining in Our Villa The private dining experience in our villa was excellent and exceeded our expectations — especially thanks to our chef Hamdi and waiter Sandy, who made the evening very special. Service Overall, the service from the hotel was really good. The staff were very helpful and assisted us with everything we asked for.

Apart from our amazing stay at this resort, I wanted to highlight our incredible Senja Spa experience. We did 4 massages for our family and it was in everyone’s experience amazing! Feni and Amina were professional and made sure we felt comfortable. Definitely would recommend!
