We just went for happy hour 5-8pm (latest I’ve seen in the city) and the food was amazing! We got $1 oysters which were fabulous (the sauces were delicious), $1/oz red or white wine, and calamari, which was perfectly crisp and so yummy. The vibes were very fun with the whole aesthetic being neon and electric. Our service was also great. Our experience was fantastic and we will for sure be back soon!

The interior is very different from any restaurants i have been to. It has a jungle/tropical type look. I was skeptical of the food based on the Google reviews, but we enjoyed it very much. The oysters, The calamari, tacos, ceviche and the Thai Paella was really good. We will be back to try the other items on the menu! The only downside so far is the bathrooms are so tiny there is no space between you and the door.

Had a great experience over all! Staff is super friendly, Tiffany, our server did a great job! We started with half a dozen of oysters, and fried calamari… oysters were so good that we ordered a second half dozen! I tried some of their drinks and they were pretty tasty and they look super cute as well. We also ordered a steak to share, we were not very hyped up about it but again, it’s not a steakhouse but it was a decent cut. All in all, it’s a super fun place, you will get great photos, for sure! We came on a Saturday night, they have a DJ and it seems to get busier towards the end of the night. Definitely worth checking it out, even if it’s for just drinks and oysters! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

A really great dine-in experience at Selva. I heard about this place a lot and decided to try it out. I wasn't disappointed. They gave non alcoholic complimentary shots and nachos which were great. We ordered cocktails, a chicken on skewers with rice and fish tacos. The service was fantastic, friendly and fast. Cocktails were pretty good with a variety of choices! Coming to the ambience, this was a unique place that I went to. I really liked the grafitti like decor and colors. They also have the selva dome which is outdoors and can seat 4 people. But you will need to reserve it separately. Its a bit on the expensive side but a definite recommend for casual dates or parties!

Wasn't sure what to expect as reviews for this place are quite mixed, but I was pleasantly surprised! Our group of four made a reservation for a Wednesday dinner. The place was basically empty at 6pm and although it got busier towards 7-8pm, never filled up. We started with some items from their Selva Hour (i.e. happy hour) menu, which is available Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays 5-7pm. The grilled chicken, seafood ceviche and summer salad were all quite good - flavorful and prepared well. The summer salad was a little soggy though. The guacamole portion was quite small but the chips were fresh and warm. Our favourite was the calamari which was tender and not too greasy (we ended up getting a second order). Other things we ordered - stuffed shishito peppers, grilled Denver steak, seafood rice. Steak was definitely a highlight as was the spicy dipping sauce that came with several of the dishes. Shishito peppers were nice but there were only five of them. They didn't have $1 oysters that night but they did have a dozen for $25. Appreciated the variety of sauces that accompanied them but the oysters themselves were bland. We finished with their two desserts. I couldn't really discern the flavors of the corn butterfly pea gelato but it was still enjoyable (and the portion was much larger than we expected compared to the prices/sizes of the other dishes we had). The chocolate trio cake was decadent and on the sweeter side, but really lovely. Overall, food was good, thoughtfully presented but not too memorable. Portions are small for the price. Service was very friendly, and food came out fast. However, our server disappeared halfway through our meal and we had to flag down someone else to get our bill. The ambiance is definitely noteworthy, however the restaurant itself was quite toasty and the chairs were not the most comfortable.

Google
Amazing ambience as it transports you to a tropical paradise. They greet you with a wellness shot and complimentary Selva salsa and chips. Chef's kiss to all the food we ordered. An absolute must when you are in Toronto. We are coming back for sure!

Google
Went for happy hour and sooooo glad we did! From walking in - to the vibe, ambiance and food- I highly recommend!! Once you’re seated they give you complimentary wellness shots and a sample of the Selva dip with seasoned nacho chips- yum! The calamari-best ever! Crunch on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. The chicken skewers were ok. The fried jalapeño bites- another winner! The oysters- fresh, tender and soft- great with mignonette, horseradish or seafood cocktail sauce. The sticky wings- totally on point! The drink, mojito and mockingbird, were colourful and refreshing. I’d love to try the dome experience next time but the vibe inside is transformative! Go!

Google
Salva Toronto was a bit different from the restaurants I typically visit, but it was my friend’s birthday and her choice. The place was beautiful; we were both captivated by the rainforest ambiance of the restaurant. However, the menu had few selections that appealed to my friend, as many dishes contained oyster sauce or shellfish, and she is allergic to seafood. Overall, it was a great experience, but I wouldn’t return.

Yelp
We went for the dome prix fixe menu, it was such a fun time. The food and service were amazing. The dome, comes heated with blankets, bluetooth speakers to play your own music, and games. I'm not too sure about the fur on the table though. The kale salad, has so many layers of flavour, 10/10 recommend. The calamari was crispy and the kick from the dip makes it another 10/10. The mushroom tostada is not my favourite, if I were to choose I would have picked two calamari's. The chicken tacos were soooooooo good, very juicy, creamy sauce and perfectly paired with toppings 9/10. The beef tacos were okay compared to the chicken, it has this roast beef flavour and not as much depth 7/10. The corn gelato, was a not too sweet dessert, you can taste a kick of lemon and saltiness 9/10 We also ordered two drinks, the bloody mary and a watermelon cocktail. Both were very strong and delicious.

Yelp
When I read that Selva is Michelin rated, I wanted to find out why. Let me tell you- they have the BEST tacos I've ever had. The entire cuisine is a fusion of Latin and Thai- best of both worlds. We ordered the scallop ceviche, and the brisket and crispy fish tacos. Scallop ceviche- I would recommend to skip over this. I've had much better ceviche in Miami. It was very watered down, almost as if there wasn't enough scallops. Crispy fish and brisket tacos- WOW. Indescribable. The brisket tacos had a Thai sauce that was simply delicious- something you won't encounter at other restaurants due to the uniqueness of it. Fish tacos were so crispy and full of flavor. Cocktails- we ordered the silver frog and the mezcalita. The silver frog was on the sweeter side, while the mezcalita was very strong, BUT we requested the waitress to make our drinks as so which was very appreciated. Our waitress was very attentive, and gave us the best food/ drink recommendations. I was hesitant to come here because previous reviews said service was bad, but I experienced otherwise. Ambiance- WOW.... When you step in you're transported to walls full of neon art, and music with a live DJ. After 10 pm, there is a club upstairs that I wish I was able to experience because the music and vibes were great. There were large parties, but also small groups. Great for all occasions. Overall, this is a must experience restaurant if you're in the downtown Toronto area. I will definitely return and I hope to try the seafood and cocktail towers that I saw around me. Great place to celebrate a birthday

Yelp
This restaurant has been on my bucket list for a while, so I was very excited to finally go there! My friend made the reservation on a Wednesday evening. As soon as I entered, a beautiful glowing art greeted me. I felt like I was transported into another world! I arrived at the front desk area and a friendly young lady greeted me. She showed me the table with tall chairs to sit. Then a young waitress came by to introduce herself and explained the special of the evening (oyster deals), as well as where to find the menu (on a piece of wood with a QR code to scan). As my friend didn't arrive yet, I waited and looked around the area. The area was filled with various animals and images from nature. On the ceiling, there were small models of fishes, branches, and leaves to create the look of the forest. I took various photos and admired the vibe of the place. After my friend arrived, the same waitress came by, repeated everything one more time. We ordered two items- scallops ceviche and fried calamari. Scallops ceviche came in a boat-shaped bowl. There was also another bowl of tortilla chips and a slice of lime (to add to ceviche). Fried calamari came in a large flat plate and there was also a slice of Iime (to add to calamari). The ceviche had a variety of flavours- tangy, chewy, lightly sweet. We had fun using tortilla chips to scoop up juicy scallops and other ingredients on them as much as possible! The fried calamari had a sweet and sour sauce around the bottom. The pieces were fried in a light batter, so we got to taste the goodness of calamari pieces. The exterior was crunchy and we enjoyed every bite! Throughout the evening, our water glasses were filled up, there were plenty of napkins, and other staff came by to check-in with us. We had a great time and look forward to many more visits!

Yelp
Ambiance was so cute and fun! The service was great as well, we ordered a drink tower and an appetizer and had a good time for about an hour or two. Would recommend for good drinks and a cheap happy hour!

Yelp
Came here for the first reservation they had for dinner which was at 5 PM. I was a little disappointed that we showed up 10 minutes early given that it was snowing and we weren't allowed to come in because they weren't open yet, even tho the doors to the restaurant were open. We almost left and want to go somewhere else but then I forgot that we put our credit card number down for a reservation. The waitress explained to us that the best way to eat is taco style so we decided to share everything it was just me and a friend that were there. We ordered the calamari the mushroom frittata and two orders of tacos one was the fish and one was the chicken I will say that was way too much food for us. We would've been good with just the appetizers and one serving of tacos. It says right on the menu that the tacos are billed yourself almost like when you get fajitas at a restaurant, I like the concept of it but it was my favourite thing we both agreed that the appetizers were actually the best thing we had there. The ambiance in this location is really cool they have black lights everywhere and the paint looks phenomenal.

Yelp
Not sure why the previous reviews have been relatively low. Ambiance is unique, noise level a little higher, but overall a lovely experience! The whole sea bream was delicious! Before the fish landed on the table, my thought bubble was like it smells a little fishy and whole fish, going to need a lot of work to dig in. However it was effortless, I think it's one of the best I've had in the city. It was deboned with the yellow pepper sauce on the side. The fish was so good on its own that I don't need anything. I will definitely order this again. The grilled corn was so tasty with the coconut butter. I ended up just using the spoon to eat it and didn't want to share. The calamari was also delicious and the scallop ceviche was not bad. But I loved the whole sea bream. When I come back I will definitely order the sea bream again!!!!

Yelp
This was our second time at Selva. Our first time at Selva was around when it first opened. We found it underwhelming and didn't enjoy the food (2/5); the music was also very loud, making it hard to hear others. We returned recently, as we booked less than a week in advance for a table of 9 on a Saturday; there was also dome availability for four. We ordered the seafood tower ($180 on Fridays and Saturdays), crispy fish taco platter, chips and guac, and alcohol. The menu has gluten-free, keto and vegetarian options. The artwork is beautiful, but the lighting gave us eye strain. The food was 3/5, the service was excellent, and we had a fun time overall. Our dining experience included free cover to the Fifth Social Club (until 11:30 pm, usually $20). Accessibility: stairs to the restaurant, tight washrooms, low seats, and high seats available - not wheelchair friendly.

Yelp
I loved the ambiance it was super dope with multi sensory art. It looks like a colorful neon jungle & I was here for it. The service was great & let's get to the food. We had the most amazing Brussels sprouts we've ever had. We had the Khao soi beef tacos which were really good. We also had the seafood rice (sort of like a paella) it was a bit spicy but really good. We opted for the lobster, which had lobster, snow crab leg cluster, shrimp, calamari & bay scallops. We can't say anything about the drinks because we didn't drink. But the food was good, definitely recommend.

Yelp
I'd give this a 3.5 if I could do half stars! After doing rapid tests and many weeks of lockdown restrictions, my friends celebrated Galentine's day! Selva was a sensory experience. We joked about it being like a grown-up Rainforest cafe. The novelty of eating under black lights, surrounded by neon decor was fun....but the music was SO LOUD, that it was offputting. Turn it down a notch, man! Food was actually amazing. Gave it 3.5 because of the food but the volume and incredibly small washroom stalls lost points. The stalls are so small that you literally can't sit down to pee because your head hits the door. If you go, the fish tacos and the eggplant dip were fan faves!

Yelp
My partner and I couldn't wait to check out this spot so we headed here for a nightcap after Bar Poet and I'm glad we did! It's located in the basement of a building, and the minute you walk in, you're immersed with neon colours and black lights creating a warm and hip jungle vibe that will guarantee forgetting about the cold that is outdoors. We made a reservation for 8:30pm on a Sunday night. We arrived a tad earlier than our reservation, but the hostess seated us right away. We had a great spot that we could take it all in. The murals and the deco left us feeling like we had just been transported to somewhere tropical. We ordered the mushroom tostada to share and for drinks I got The Silver Frog and my partner got To the Jungle. These were their on tap cocktails and they arrived quick! Boy oh boy did these drinks pack flavour, great portion size and added to the experience of being somewhere tropical. Our mushroom tostada came with two, as their food items are meant for sharing, and it was cut for us so we didn't have to man handle a huge tostada. It was also packed with flavours and fresh mushrooms. Definitely a great way to end off the night! I really enjoyed the concept and local artists who helped bring this place to life. There's nothing else like it in the city! My only critique is that the washrooms were super narrow and small. Im 5'6 and I couldn't sit down in the stall comfortably because the stall door is pretty close to the toilet that there was little to no space between the stall door and the toilet. So if you're tall, I would suggest relieving yourself before coming here. I look forward to following the success of this place!

Yelp
This is all to say that Selva is hardly a multi-sensory experience, especially not the first in the world. If anything, my dining experiences at Alinea or even Hutaoli's Markham location would be way more multi-sensory. Nonetheless, Selva is still a lovely environment to dine in: there's something about the brightly coloured foliage hanging from the ceiling and beautifully presented dishes that puts you in a good mood. And the gorgeous artwork all over the restaurant's walls, ceiling, and floor by Clandestinos Art is certainly something to behold. Would it be strange to commission a replica in my dining room? It pains me to say this, as I deeply respect Chef Nuit and love her other restaurants, but Selva's menu needs an overhaul. The best dish of night, unanimously agreed upon at our table, was the eggplant dip ($18 plus an extra $6 for the guacamole). It was such a nice thick consistency, but also flavoured in an interesting manner with shrimp paste (?) and chili so there's an umami spiciness to the meaty vegetable. Even the shredded mint on top was a great touch. On the other hand, the guacamole is run-of-the-mill and could benefit from a twist to make it special, whether it be the addition of finely chopped chilis or Thai herbs. All in all, the dips are beautifully presented with an array of fresh vegetables and warm crispy tortillas. In retrospect, I would have happily had the entire platter to myself as a meal. Perhaps I'd add on the yellowfin tuna ceviche ($18) as a starter to get the sole smell element once we squeezed the magrud lime and that distinctive aroma engulfed the table. Plus, it's a decent dish with the delicate soft tuna contrasted with plenty of crunchy ingredients (roasted peanuts, grilled corn, celery, pickled onion) and slices of red serrano chili adding a light spice. If anything, the ceviche could use a bit more salt and oil to balance out all the acidity. The meal starts to go downhill from here... literally as each successive dish is presented it's worse than the one before. The grilled sea bream ($36) is still fine: while it could be taken off the grill sooner to keep the flesh moister, the skin had a lovely crispy texture. The lemongrass sandwiched in the middle of the fish was a great start, but surprisingly didn't really diffuse any flavours into the flesh. Once we added pieces of pickled chayote, onion, and a dash of yellow pepper sauce the flavours improved, but the fish could still benefit from more salt. Who knows, maybe the sea bream was actually seasoned perfectly, and I just couldn't taste it over all the raw garlic used in the tomato rice. Wow is this garlicky, beware to people who are on dates. The corn fritters ($14) were shaped too small so they resembled popcorn corn versus a fritter and could have benefited from being drained longer so it wasn't as oily. If the batter truly incorporated red curry paste and lime leaf, the ratio of spices to flour needs to increase as it didn't taste like much. In fact, we really couldn't even taste the corn. Yet, the fritters were still better the fried calamari ($18), which I couldn't stomach more than two pieces. Firstly, the sweet and sour sauce covering the bottom of the plate, rather than being served on the side, meant the sesame batter fell off the calamari leaving us with chunks of syrupy batter and naked squid. The calamari were also cut much too small so without serving spoons it was difficult to pick up with a fork. In general, I'm surprised a restaurant that creates a family-style menu doesn't include sharing utensils with their dishes. And the worst dish of the night was also the last - talk about not ending with a bang. The shrimp in the tacos ($46 for 6 servings) were over done and rubbery and the amount of salsa, guacamole and red pepper sauce that arrive for six tacos is comical, there was enough for two tacos at best. Especially when paired with corn tortillas, which are such dry wrappers that need a lot of sauce and ingredients to stand up to the rich earthy corn flavour. In retrospect, had I known there was a lack of condiments, I would have asked for the tacos to be served with the lettuce instead.

Yelp
Part of a longer review... "Bright eyed and curious, I entered the black-lit lower-level restaurant, drawn in by its jungle-themed décor and neon artwork. It felt like the nightclubs I used to frequent in my youth. As the hostess led my guest and me to our table, my eyes didn't know where to look. Floor to ceiling murals by Clandestinos Art--including a starry sky on the ceiling and a lion with piercing fluorescent eyes staring straight at me--were some of the artistic features I noticed first. As we were being seated, the hostess mentioned we could freely wander around the space to view the artwork in more detail, which was part of the immersive experience. The spacious dining area was buzzing with patrons, including many tourists and suburbanites...."

Yelp
More of a 3.5 star place. Friendly service and staff really try to help. We thought it was a bit cold and asked if we could have a window closed. Two staffers tried but it wouldn't budge. One of them even went outside of the restaurant to see if they can close the window from there. I give them extra points for so much effort. Our table ordered deconstructed tacos and it was okay but I think at the price and portion my other friends preferred it being made already. The ones at Dzo were more worth it. I would recommend this place for drinks and apps but for dates. Good for dates and friends.
google avatar

Sreekar K.

Yelp
It's a new resto/bar aka world's first immersive multi-sensory art/resto/bar experience. 'Selva' means jungle in both Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese and strives to become an escape for urbanites looking to leave the concrete jungle and venture into a tropical utopia and it looks exactly the same inside with neon lights as an added touch. The drinks were great but the food order was messed up and had to wait for over 45mins and hence why one star less

Yelp
This is the new hyped place in Toronto. My friend and I got reservations a month in advance and trust, it was very hard to get reservations. Naturally, I had very high expectations. They also hold your credit card and charge you a fee if you cancel the day of your reservation. Upon entry, we were a little disappointed at how empty it was given the reservations were pretty much booked out for months. We figured they likely experienced cancellations due to Covid. We were seated at a high table. I must say the interior is beautiful, however it wasn't out of the world/blown away type. The bar had two screens with black panthers walking on repeat. The menu was small. Nothing on the menu shouts at you, it was pretty basic items such as chicken, tacos and other Mexican fusion things. I decided to go with tacos ($21) and my friend went with tostados ($12). Now here is the plot twist... the taco platter BLEW ME AWAY. It was delicious! It was a Thai - Mexican fusion and even though I got the 3 taco platter there was more than enough food. I was very happy with the quality of the food. Overall, the service was okay, but the tacos definitely were very something I've not had before. The place did start getting busier towards the end of the night. Located right next to the Fifth, I assume this is a popular pre drinks spot.
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
Pretty decor and Mexican vibes. I think the place was pricier than expected as all our drinks came out to $50 pp and food was $30 pp. However I was pretty drunk so I guess I didn't care at the time. Mushroom tostadas were good though
google avatar

Lisa B.

Yelp
The pictures don't do this place justice. It was a very cool atmosphere with lots to see. Although the service wasn't very good and lacked attentiveness, the food made up for it. The scallop ceviche was delicious as were the fish tacos. The guacamole was actually our least favourite.
google avatar

Sasha H.

Yelp
This place took over the fifth positioned itself as a cocktail bar. My usual impression of cocktail bars is that they are cute, small and intimate. This is actually the opposite. It's a fairly large venue with lots of space for sitting. The interior looks pretty cool with black light. Reminded me of putting edge or laser tag. The food was really really good! I couldn't recommend the grilled chicken and broccolini highly enough. We all liked this dish so much, that we had to get a second order of each. The food comes out on cute leaf plates to keep with the jungle theme/decor. Also all the food is perfect as sharables. The drinks were great as well, Altho beers a little on the pricier side. This is a great place to check out at least once.
google avatar

Lina D.

Yelp
Really cool experience and a large vegan selection on the menu is pretty amazing. The vegan protein tacos with lettuce was a nice new experience for me and I really enjoyed it along with the broccolini and dip platter with eggplant sauce. We shared everything as it is a sharing type of experience and everyone got to try a bit of everything. We were surprised that they did not have salt for the table as we ordered 4 rounds of tequila shots which we later found out that it would probably be cheaper if we got a bottle next time. Shots were $15 each! We felt that the menu was lost and wasn't sure which cuisine they were trying to encapsulate, Mexican? Portuguese? Brazilian? Food was still very good though. We had reserved a table for 8 a month ago and had the best long centre table in the house. There is a stunning ceiling centrepiece of tropical plants and florals where we sat. The restaurant was beautifully painted all over the walls and floors. The murals glow with the black lighting which was pretty cool and it really brought the animals to life. It reminded us of the old Rainforest Cafe at yorkdale. I'd totally recommend it to everyone.

Yelp
Despite the immense social media and blogger appraisals, the mesmerizing neon decor did not make up for the lack lustrous menu. To begin, it is very short with little variety in the types of dishes offered. The presentation of the food is nice, but again dissapointing in taste and flavours. The best thing I found Selva to offer was their domestic Purtuguese wine for $7 a glass. One additional thing that was off throwing, was the waitor telling us that our dishes would not be coming in order, meaning that meals could arrive prior to appetizers. This was rather odd, considering there were only two other tables occupied at the time. -Luckily we did not experience any such oddities. Very unlikely to be returning to this place, and much rather walk down a block to PAI for authentic, quality dishes. Nonetheless, for those looking to just go have a cocktail and take social media photos, this might be a fitting choice.
google avatar

Yelp
Instantly I thought to myself Adult Rainforest Cafe. Can't stop looking at the beautiful animal murals and decor that lined across the whole restaurant. The amazing Asian fusion menu by Chef Nuit Regular! I thought the price point would be more expensive since it's such an immersive dining experience but it's not. It's very fair. Majority of the items are under 20. It's great, gotta come back for more. Since it's a new restaurant I feel like the kitchen service is a bit slow, we wanted to order another dish to try but had to wait 30+ mins and was just tried of waiting. So make sure to order everything at once. My favourites are the the yellow fin cerviche and the shisto peppers(stuffed with some kind of Sausage meat filling) At the time we went there was a DJ! I'll give it a 5 if the kitchen service is fixed, currently sitting on 4.5 stars

Yelp
YouTube - Black Jaguar - walk / https://youtu.be/xRqu-wzjl1c Went in with high expectations watching reels and seeing words like "immersive" all over social media. When you walk in you get the nice cat mural. Staff are great and do their part to keep you happy. The overall environment is nice, with the greenery, murals, Jaguar walking lopped at the bar, black light, it's like an adult rain forest cafe in a sense. That being said aside from the visuals there is nothing else that's amazing to say. Drink/cocktails were okay we will leave it at that. The food menu was confusing, skimpy, and overpriced in my opinion. I saw people share a cob of corn, I opted for the calamari. Unfortunately was not that great aside from the presentation. The calamari was panko-crusted but was loosely battered by the time you pick up it and sauce it the batter falls off, resulting in a battered mess. I wanted to try other items on the menu but nothing was that appealing, and I did not want to assemble my own tacos. Overall if your phone eats first, or you are into that social media thing and want to take a picture or two to share with the world I would recommend this place. For the purpose of eating and or drinking, there are other options that do better whether it's by price or end product. Presentation is the main thing here and the only thing. I was dumbfounded that the owner of Pai is the owner of this place, I wouldn't have minded paying $$ for some proper fusion pad thai while looking at the murals and stuff. That being said here's my recommendation for the rational-minded, get yourself a LED smart light change the color to your liking, order some pad thai from Pai, and full screen the Black Jaguar walk on your screen and you got yourself an immersive nature experience.

Yelp
I found the place unique and impressive. The interior was nice. We had been there for our evening office socials and it was no less than fun. Food was pretty decent and we loved the service.
google avatar

Yelp
Prices were good. I got the fried calamari and the shrimp and chicken tacos. Everything was very good, cooked correctly and FLAVORFUL. The chicken from the tacos was super delicious and the environment was literally so unique and cool.

Yelp
I'll say I like the concept of this restaurant - it's dark, glow in the dark, and the art work is cool. However, the service we received was very NOT GOOD - we were left waiting in the front for the hostess to acknowledge us for about 10 minutes. We were left waiting AGAIN once seated for close to 30 minutes before a waiter even came over. We decided once we hit the 30 minute mark we would leave but someone came over. The food itself was not good. I can't say anything else about this place other than it has potential but we won't be back.

Abigail G.

Yelp
Tried this place with on a Friday night around 11:30 and it wasn't busy, but still make reservations if you have a big group. As others have mentioned it definitely gives off rainforest cafe vibes and even late at night, it still feels more like a restaurant than a bar. The menu late at night also consists of less items than the dinner menu but everything tasted great; the chicken and calamari were standouts. I found the drinks okay. The music playing is at a pretty low volume so if you're looking for a more lively place I wouldn't say this is it. I would probably recommend just coming at regular dinner time to enjoy the full menu.

Yelp
Had the opportunity to to try the oyster special. It comes with a variety of sauces to pair with. The red vinaigrette was really good. Our server Izzy was very attentive, informative, and quick. The Sangria could be a little stronger, but otherwise an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
Was not overly pleased with this restaurant. Was surprised to see it pop up on so many suggested lists. There are definitely better places close by to try.

Yelp
It was empty when we went. Food was okay nothing I would crave and want to go back again for. Went for and early dinner at 5:30 on a weekend. I know this is a more club type atmosphere in the night which I didn't experience. Wait staff were clumsy and dropped out tortillas from our tacos and brought an undressed salad. I'm a huge fan of all the other chef nuit restaurants so I'm surprised by the lacklustre food. The fish tacos were good and moist. The corn (not pictured) was also good

Yelp
Was here for a friend's celebration. Would not have been my first or last choice. Interesting venue, music was too loud for a restaurant, ceviche was great, tacos not so much, bar selection terribly limited. Smallest bathroom stalls in the world. Server was fantastic and attentive though. Not quite sure what an immersive experience is supposed to be, maybe immersed in a dark basement? Not a place I would recommend, much better food and experiences to be had elsewhere

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere it reminds me of the Rainforest Cafe but just more tailored to adults. The food is amazing every dish was tasty and unique to the Latin America flavours and more. However it was very expensive, my date and I walked out of there with a close to 300$ tab including a 23% tip.

Yelp
This place is such a disappointment! The whole glow in the dark concept is cool, the decor is amazing but everything else.... Not so much. The drinks were the best part of the meal, their signature cocktails are actually decent and they are putting in a good amount of liquor in them. The food was bad. I mean I could've bought this from a grocery store and they would've been no difference whatsoever. Their tacos are deconstructed, so it's build it your own. Guac appetizer had a few pieces of raw broccoli and Brussels sprouts and maybe 15 chips. Ceviche was so tiny I could barely see it. Definitely not worth the $$$. We were so hungry after selva we went someplace else to eat lol so definitely WONT recommend this if you looking for a place to eat

Yelp
I came here with a bunch of friends and we ordered a lot. We ordered a bunch of oyster but I was pretty disgusted to find worms on my plate after eating the oysters. Not 1 but 2 worms were left on my plate after throwing the shells back onto the platter when we were done. They took off the oysters from our bill but the damage was done already so I had lost my appetite when my main dish came out. The wait staff didn't look surprised so I doubt this was the first time this happened. They were nice though. The place was a vibe but seems like that's what you're paying for. All the food was way overpriced for what it is, definitely not a place for dinners just your typical bar feels.

Yelp
This review can be summed up in one word - disappointing. The minute we walked in we were shocked as to how similar this restaurant looked to a basement club. It's extremely small in size, and looks nothing like the pictures. It felt almost grimey, like a college bar. We tried 2 cocktails, and they were both incredibly boozy. It was difficult to drink them - especially the one with coffee. We tried the eggplant dip, and it had more corriander than eggplant in it. The food at the next table smelled good though. All in all, not at all what it looks like.

Yelp
This place is straight up the place to hang. It's supercool with a vibe like no other. The graphic art is truly art, the lighting spectacular that it shows all of the images in great contrast. It's a place for a date night, to hang with a group or to bring your teens for a fun early evening party vibe. Oh and the food. From the creator of PAI which is the best damn Thai food in town, comes Selva. We had guacamole to start which was just perfection, the Selva salad is huge, comes in a big bowl and can feed 4-6, followed by the chicken tacos with amazing flavours, the wagyu beef sticks, corn fritters and to top it off we had the banana desert. I was so stuffed on top of some amazing cocktails and a nice bottle of wine. They really got this right!! Sevice was superb with at least 3 people popping by our table at all times.

Yelp
I literally love this place. The food has amazing quality and flavours that explode in your mouth. The selva salad and the mushroom tostada are insanely good and I would recommend it to anyone who goes. They also put cute flowers on all the dishes which is absolutely stunning.

Yelp
Food is overpriced for what is offered. Don't go with tuna ceviche, the portion is a joke! Service is ok, but they don't split the bill, limit your time in 90 minutes even if you are still ordering and is 20% gratuity for group of 6 or more. The ambience is nice, actually the best part of this restaurant, but I don't recommend this place.

Yelp
The guac and chips and tacos are overpriced and I'm pretty sure the chicken was a rotisserie chicken from a grocery store. Service was extremely slow and they don't know how "to do the math to split a bill" (a direct quote). Ambiance is somewhere between a bowling alley and a Rainforest Cafe. It's riddled with influencers who all looked as bored as the staff. Go elsewhere. It's a gimmick.

Yelp
Mediocre, overpriced food and absolutely atrocious service. Came here for a group dinner with friends, and from the moment we walked in. the attitude and general demeanour of the staff ruined the entire evening. Special mention to our server Amadeo for being so rude and condescending to our table, I actually felt obliged to write a review about it. It's a flashy coat of paint on an old pub basement to appeal to the #influencer crowd, with poor execution where it counts. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Yelp
My fiancee has many allergies and eating out can be a challenge. We were immediately encouraged by the menu listing major allergens. On top of that, Chef Regular came to speak with us personally and determined to craft a personalized meal that would be safe. She was empathetic, patient, and knowledgeable about allergies, and the attention and care to detail made us feel very safe and comfortable. We're used to working things out with the kitchen via the wait staff, but to see the head chef put in such effort to make sure that we could have an excellent dining experience convinced us of the care this restaurant gives to its diners.

Yelp
We took our mom out for Mother's Day, and it was amazing! We ordered the stuffed shishito peppers, tuna ceviche, shrimp tacos, beef tacos, and both the corn gelato and banana fritters for dessert. EVERYTHING was delicious! We were blown away by how good it all was. Usually something is disappointing when ordering for a group, but all the flavours worked so well together and all of us loved every dish. The decor was also beautiful, all the artwork really well done and added to the experience. We will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
This place is more like a club then a restaurant, and the staff represent that. This would be fine, if the food were not priced in line with a higher end restaurant. We ordered 4 plates and the food came out all at once within 5 minutes of ordering... meaning it was clearly all just pre-made. We were sat at such a small table we could barely fit everything on it at the same time, which calls into question the logic of rushing it all out immediately, the server recognized the issue and did absolutely nothing to help, just threw the food down and left. This ruined the dining experience and we were out of there within 45 minutes. Would not recommend, never going back. I would give zero stars if it was possible on this site.

Yelp
Terribly overrated. Horrible service, server barely came by to check on table, food came to table cold. Sat for 20mins waiting for food after rest of table was served, they forgot to bring out my steak, brought it out cold, and then told me that it was supposed to be like that cause they let it sit. Who let's a steak sit for 20mins after it's cook?? And it wasn't a steak it was a fillet. And Expensive. Steak with no sides $30? 6 Shrimp $21? A cocktail $17? Very disappointed. I can get better food at Chucks Roadhouse. Only nice thing was the decor and setup. And that was still ok. What a rip off. Won't ever return.
