The restaurant has a great atmosphere. It was built inside an old industrial building, which is really interesting. But that’s about it. The service was not good, and the food wasn’t either. We ordered a soup as a starter and it was served cold. The main dishes were also disappointing.

Beautiful restaurant that adapted an old production site with tables both inside and outside but recommend staying inside for the scenery. The food is fantastic with a menu changing daily but always with great options. The tomato soup is fantastic and the bull stew was outstanding. The staff is efficient and nice. Reservations are recommended and credit card payments are possible.

The setting is a former olive press, so it's interesting and charming, with a wonderful pastoral view from one side. Service and food were great. The menu changes daily and is limited, e.g. four entrees to choose from the day we were there. We had the black pork on skewers, the pork cheeks, and the octopus, all delicious. The chocolate mousse was exceptional and generous enough to share. The local wine they serve is excellent. I bought four bottles on my way home. Highly recommended.

Interesting place in old olive factory, amazing food, pulpo the best i have ever ate, great tomato soup, fresh ingredients and great white Sangria! 🩷💚 maybe pork was a bit too hard, but in general wonderful experience with Portugeese cusine with great localisation

While there was a limited choice on the menu, each of the dishes were full of flavour with generous portions. The staff were very attentive and courteous. The atmosphere was reminiscent of days gone by in the olive pressing warehouse. Table decor was colourful and felt very relaxing for a long lunch.

I'll start with the tomato soup because it was great. How it was brought out, not so much. When I order something at a restaurant, I like to get exactly what I ordered and how I ordered it. 2 soups were ordered and one bowl with 2 doses was brought out. 2 meat platters were ordered and one platter with 2 doses was brought out. If that's how you usually do it then ask if it's ok. Not ok with me. The outside seating area was nice but too many cobwebs and way too many bugs. Try to get a seat inside and definitely try the tomato soup. Separate bowls, please.

One of my favourite restaurants, ever!. The decor, staff, chefs, waiters are amazing. The food is too notch, taking a good honest approach to Alentejo cuisine. The desserts are to die for, The Mousse!!! The tomato soup is simply the best. You can also check the story and the art gallery of the place. They also arrange boat trips on Alqueva.

Beautiful location, great service and friendly staff. The food was good but could do with a little more variety, particularly on the vegetarian front (mostly veggie burgers available). But overall a fantastic evening.

Yelp
This restaurant was the best place we have eaten at on our entire Spain/Portugal trip. If you stay in Monsaraz I would high suggest you check this place out. Our waiter spoke great English and he was very friendly explaining the whole menu to us. We ordered the asparagus with ham and asparagus with egg for hot appetizers and carrots with garlic for cold. Everything was sautéed to perfection. Our family got baby goat, cod, steak, and bull fighting bull. We all enjoyed our meals very much. I enjoyed my dish the most, the bull fighting bull, but I thought the cod with chorizo was also fabulous if you prefer fish over beef. These are large portions so you could probably split one entree for two people unless you were hungry like us. The food came out hot and timely. We didn't need a reservation which was surprising for 7 people but it was 9pm on a Tuesday evening. Most dishes came with a side salad which was refreshing. We had banana pudding, almond pie, and chocolate mousse for dessert. All amazing! Wine was delicious as well. No bad things to say about this place. I would go back another night if I had another day. They also invited us to go boating the next day, but we did not have time in our trip itinerary.
