8 hidden gems worth exploring in the north of Singapore - SilverKris

"Transformed from a dingy site into a manicured park, this is Singapore’s only natural hot spring park, featuring cascading pools for soaking feet, seating areas and a water collection point that supplies hot spring water at about 70°C. The redeveloped space, reopened in January 2020, retains a rustic, kampung atmosphere; visitors can use scoops (bring your own bucket) and even boil eggs at the Egg Cooking Station, making it a relaxed place to wind down in the afternoon." - Joy Fang

Heard and read about it but I didn't think much. Was riding my bike to yishun when I popped over to have a look. Small but amazing that there should be a hot spring in singpore. The water is hot and yes I saw few uncles cooking their eggs! I was there on Sunday early morning hence only a very few people around. Must come to soak my feet.

It is so amazing to see a natural hot spring water in singapore. After seeing many insta posts about this place ,I visited with my family. The park is small, and around 15 people can sit and dip their legs in the spring. Many have got buckets and took water from spring and sat on the benches. There is a place to boil eggs with hot spring water as well. It was a soothing experience... we can spend a maximum of 30 mins there .

My first time going to hot spring. Nice to see lucious plants that give some shady rest... The rest of the park is not big. The soaking area has different degree of "hotness" stated... And of course, not forgetting the spring water eggs which is done perfectly 😋😋😋😋 All is good, but, but must go early or will be "grilled" under the sun 😂☀️

Unique spot in Singapore where you can soak your feet in natural hot spring water. Clean, well-maintained, and free to enter. There’s even an area to boil eggs using the spring water—fun and relaxing! Great for a peaceful visit with family or friends.

Started the day with a refreshing visit to Sembawang Hot Springs! I walked from Canberra MRT (about 10 minutes) to beat the crowds and secure a seat. Arriving at 7 am was a great decision - it was peaceful and serene! Soaking my legs in the warm waters was incredibly rejuvenating... I felt so much lighter afterwards! What a wonderful way to kick-start the day!

Excellent place. I am glad I came a day to recce. If you are driving by car, look for block 114 Yishun ring road, this carpark is probably the nearest to the hot springs. Secondly. Bring a foldable pail or some people use the ntuc chiller bag( one with silver inner lining) as a pail bag. I didn’t bring any and use the communal trench to soak. Never nice and I recommend it ! Pic1: communal pool for the feet Pic 2: bags as pail Pic 3: pretty hardcore auntie washing hair with miracle hot spring water *cough cough*

It took me 20 minute to walk their from Canberra MRT station. There're good number of signage to show the way and I can enjoy many old canopy trees along the big drain. I cann't conside it as a park. Is more of a Kiosk. The place where the citizen dip theirs' feet can only accomodate less then 30 people. Is just ordinally hot water. No medical value. Not like the Volcanic water. That's is good for skin. I saw people brought water home. Treating it as mineral water. These are people playing with fire. On one side there are tap providing 70 degree water for the crazy people to boil their egg. Mainly are old and some middle age people. Either they have problem doing excerise or too lazy and come here to let the hot water to help them to promote blood circulation. This can be done at home in a more relax way then wasting time here.

Yes.....I used ChatGpt to write the below review. But the meaning & thoughts come from a real human. 🌿 **Time Over Treasure: A Visit to the Sembawang Hot Spring with My Parents** Sometimes, the best gift we can give our ageing parents isn’t money—it’s our time. A quiet soak in a hot spring, surrounded by nature and gentle conversation, can mean more to them than any red packet or bank transfer. As our parents grow older, what they truly long for is not wealth, but warmth. They’ve spent their lives working hard, raising us, and putting our needs before theirs. Now, what they cherish most is our presence—our laughter, our stories, our companionship. Bringing them to a hot spring isn’t just a short getaway. It’s a way to say, “I’m here with you.” It’s a moment to slow down, to listen, to reminisce, and to simply be together. No amount of money can replace the joy of feeling loved and remembered. So let’s not wait for special occasions. Let’s make time. Because in the end, it’s not the money we gave that they’ll remember—it’s the moments we shared.
