Despite having reserved (and paid !!!!) for 4 nights, at ~$500/night, we got out as fast as we could. A reception tiny enough for only one person, much marble, but a totally ridiculous bathroom: only one sink, the other one was in the bedroom (yes, no joke!), and nothing where one could put a toiletry bag - we had to put it on the floor. The shower was in the tub with a shower head like the sell them at Walmart for 15 bucks.
The Hotel "restaurant" was tiny, and when we asked for the menu we were told to access it via the QR code (in a 4* hotel!), and the offerings mostly were, yes: Vegan sandwiches - bon appetite...
If you don't believe any of this, we sure as he** didn't either. So we packed up and headed out to the Hotel Cavour, just down the street.
Maybe the Senato recently changed owners, renovated and ran out of money. But to demand ~$500/night for that, that is 'something that is not fit to print'.
