This hotel is well located, at a short walk from the main square in town. The garage entry is very tight, however it is manageable in a smaller car and a bit challenging in a longer or wider car. The hotel room was comfortable. I would stay here again.

This is a 3-star hotel at best. The Good: Front desk people are very friendly. It is priced accordingly. You get what you pay for. It was overall basic but clean and the location is excellent. You can walk to a variety of great restaurants. Bathroom was nice. You can get connected rooms for a family of 4. The room windows open to give you the city life vibe. But beware, it is Spain, and your room can also be filled with second hand cigarette smoke pretty quickly. The Bad: The rooms are very small and the beds are basic, firm, and lack comfort. Rooms are also a bit noisy (our room faced the main street), the walls are thin, and the curtains are not blackout. The Ugly: Be prepared to be hot in your room at all times. When you leave the room, the air cuts off. When you return, it is hot. We visited in early July. We stayed on the 3rd floor and with the AC turned to “as cold as it gets” the temp prob never got below 75 Fahrenheit the entire night. The parking garage is EXTREMELY TIGHT. Do not even consider bringing a mid-size or larger car in. You will damage it. This garage is only for tiny cars.

The hotel is really well located for certain and the atmosphere is very nice. The breakfast was excellent and I also had a snack meal in the bar not anything particular. The staff are excellent and very good English wish is helpful for foreign travellers. I will return .

Very comfortable beds, clean and friendly staff. Very centrally located with good cafes and tapas bars close by, which was very convenient as it rained during our stay. The bar area and restaurant are rather soulless, but we enjoyed the breakfast. Our only criticism would be the garage parking, which is really the only option as the street parking has a 2 hour limit. It was very narrow and tight to navegate even in our smallish car.

When I arrived at the reception, the staff informed me that I could upgrade to a room with access to the minibar for an additional €20 per night. I paid €40, but in the end, the minibar was only available for one night. When I called the front desk, they told me it was only for one night. So what was the point of paying €40? Furthermore, it has been raining recently, and when I returned to my room, I found the entire room flooded with rainwater coming in through the window. It seems that my €40 upgrade got me a “rainwater room.”

It’s old and charming but it’s a nice place. You are suppose to be on vacation and not hanging out in your room. My wife and I enjoyed this hotel because it is located so close to the city center and the great bars, restaurants and shops. I would definitely return to Huelva and the Senator. The staff were excellent and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great for the price. Nothing makes me angry like ugly Americans (insert any country here) who visits another country and then bashes them on what their level of comfort is where they live. These ugly guests should just stay home and enjoy their creature comforts. With that said, I would definitely revisit the Senator and Huelva is a hidden gem without many tourists. We will definitely return and stay at the Senator

Good location in Centre of the town though 18km away from the beach so it’s hard to get to. Place was pretty fancy and good value for its price.
