Cafe Senequier is a historic cafe located in a prime spot not only for people watching but also to be seen - the Port of St. Tropez. Opened in 1887 as a pastry shop, Senequier has been a favorite spot for politicians and celebrities alike -- President Jacques Chirac, Joan Collins, Elton John, Sting, Giorgio Armani, Leonardo DiCaprio among others.
The Senequier's iconic signage, tables, and chairs cannot be missed - they are bright red. And as you might expect out of a place that caters to celebrities, the service is excellent and attentive without being intrusive.
We were there for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I ordered the eggs benedict, and it was oh-so-yummy. The hollandaise was velvety and rich and probably the best I've ever had. The kiddo and my partner ordered the more standard French breakfast, which includes coffee or tea, baguette, jam, a pastry, fresh fruit, and juice.
I'm so happy to have had the chance to visit such a storied place. Totally worth your time and money if you happen to be in the area.
