"Originally a sweet shop, Sénéquier first gained fame in the 1800s for its soft nougat. Then its candied fruits became the rage. The St. Tropez shop has since turned into a chic café by a Parisian restaurateur and now attracts yacht owners and affluent locals who come down to the waterfront from the hills above town, all of them happy to pay a pretty price for a king crab salad or the perfect sole meunière. More modest locals know the place as a good spot for a cool rosé on a hot afternoon as they watch the world go by."

A truly delightful dining experience! The menu offers a great selection with something for every taste, and the service was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Every detail throughout the dinner felt thoughtful and well-executed;a perfect blend of professionalism and warmth. Just one little miss, we asked for a burger without bacon and it was served with bacon.

Made the run to St. Tropez. Had an incredible lunch. The Fois gras was absolutely to die for. Everything was fantastic. Beautiful setting, amazing food although most people seemed to be just having coffee or cocktails. Their calamari passed the test, one of the best.

Google
A very nice place, located in the heart of Saint Tropez. Wonderful view, lovely vibe. Excellent service. Good food and very big portions, I wasn't expecting that. The garnishes are a little bland, they could be tastier. The meat was very tender and tasty. We appreciated the amuse bouche. The drinks are very expensive, but overall, considering the location, the view, and the history of this place, it's good value for money. We will return.

Google
Full scores on everything like atmosphere and service and location in the context of this cafe being an institution in the center of St Tropez, except the ridiculous price tag of €11 for a cappuccino or latte. A visit on New Years Day seems to be of particular tradition by the locals. Instead of ordering from the menu you can also walk into the Senequier patisserie and bring your choice of incredible sweet to your table in the restaurant.

Google
Beautiful experience, perfect lunch. Lamb chops paired with the mashed potatoes 5/5. The French iced tea was the perfect refresher.

Google
Classic St. Tropez spot looking out to the marina It’s hot and service is slow but the people watching is FANTASTIC

We stumbled on this gem while looking for a quick bite. The waiter was accommodating and provided some recommendations. Walk-ins were permitted and meal was delicious!

Google
Worst scam ever. Pretending to be a high level venue, but everything is run down and overcrowded. Just an example, the paint from the chairs is falling into pieces and staining clothes. Paying a lot of money for eggs and not receiving any bread or cutlery even after asking for it! What a nightmare

Yelp
Cafe Senequier is a historic cafe located in a prime spot not only for people watching but also to be seen - the Port of St. Tropez. Opened in 1887 as a pastry shop, Senequier has been a favorite spot for politicians and celebrities alike -- President Jacques Chirac, Joan Collins, Elton John, Sting, Giorgio Armani, Leonardo DiCaprio among others. The Senequier's iconic signage, tables, and chairs cannot be missed - they are bright red. And as you might expect out of a place that caters to celebrities, the service is excellent and attentive without being intrusive. We were there for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I ordered the eggs benedict, and it was oh-so-yummy. The hollandaise was velvety and rich and probably the best I've ever had. The kiddo and my partner ordered the more standard French breakfast, which includes coffee or tea, baguette, jam, a pastry, fresh fruit, and juice. I'm so happy to have had the chance to visit such a storied place. Totally worth your time and money if you happen to be in the area.

Yelp
We came here during an excursion and figured why not, let's get some refreshments! It wasn't bad actually and was so high quality in my opinion, I would certainly go back lol! I had the grilled octopus and green tea. I wasn't too happy about the abundance of smoke surrounding me as I'm sensitive to it, but it's also France so what can you do . Even though you sit outside it still finds its way to you. So you really have to be brave enough to battle it if you do come here. Maybe inside you won't have that issue but sitting outside is better for the view and French feel of it all. From what I remember menu wise there wasn't any vegan options necessarily, so keep that in mind that there are some limitations depending on your goal for coming here.

Yelp
This was the perfect breakfast! Espresso, mimosa, scrambled eggs, and fruit! I happened to be walking by so stopped in for a bite and was pleasantly surprised by the menu. I was seated at a great spot in the front of the restaurant on a beautiful sunny day, great for people watching. This was expensive but was totally worth it.

Yelp
Service was fast - Place was full - Prices are inflated! It's Senequier and it's St Tropez. Even if you only do it once in your life, you still have to do it!

Yelp
Loved lunch here. Was not hard to get a table for a large group without a reservation. Absolutely loved the truffle ravioli- one of my favorite dishes I've ever had. Great location and view of the water as well.

Yelp
We took a boat to St. Tropes, and right near the docking area, there's a famous restaurant that serves fantastic croissants and fresh squeezed orange juice. Yummy but pricey, two croissants, two Orange juice and one cup of coffee were $55.00, yikes. Even if only once, try it!

Yelp
Beautiful views, fantastic service, and great food! The dessert I had is one of the best I had on the Côte d'Azur!

Yelp
Great location and ambiance. Legendary. But food is consistently meh. Good place for drink and people watching.

Boris T.

Yelp
The location is awesome and you pay for it. Anyway the food is good but unfortunately not many vegetarian options. We visited the restaurant during lunch time and it was busy. The staff served us quickly and friendly.

Yelp
Exceptional view of the marina of St Tropez. Exceptional quality food, unique exceptional cocktails. Really loved it!

Yelp
I would've given it a 3 because I ordered the chicken palliard and did not liked it... it's a simple dish and yet the chicken tasted almost like It was going bad. For some reason I just didn't tell them bc I wasn't sure if it was me . Air conditioned in the back. the front is open, nice to sit down have a drink, appetizers and look at the mega yachts and people walking. My sister ordered a beef carpaccio or tartar, it was really good. It looked like a giant raw burger. I think they could've put a little arugula on the top or side. I gave it a 4 because the manager was very kind and sent us 2 glasses of champagne and some berries (and I didn't even told anybody about the "bad chicken". I guess it wasn't bad because it's been more than 8 hours and I'm not sick ;) I guess it just tasted bad or when the chicken is not fresh. I would go again and check out their brunch menu and or desserts. Also, their burgers looked good.

Yelp
We stopped here for a quick breakfast when we arrived in the village. Nice place to people watch and see all the fancy yachts that are docked. The breakfast sampler for 24 euro was decent. Maybe a bit on the pricey side but I mean it's expected for being in St Tropez. Good service and nothing super fantastic about the food. Have a wander round the shops and get some ice cream before leaving.

Yelp
Words can't describe the amazing legacy behind this cultural icon. Go during mid season. Order the tarte tropézienne. Sit and watch the herds of famous, infamous and infamous yet-to-be. The swimwear company Vilebrequin was created at this very café.

Graham L.

Yelp
If you want take a 25 minute seat in the patio to people watch but don't be surprised if you don't get served in that time. Pricing is also laughable. Cocktails start at 20 Euros, Coke is 10 euros, and a glass of wine starts at about 13

Yelp
Great location, right in front of the super yachts ... great for people watching...expensive! But worth it!! Best place to stop for a drink in St Tropez!
google avatar

Helena M.

Yelp
Great food but honestly a bit pricey. The staff is nice but at most time too loaded with work. The location is awesome, right in the St Tropez harbour. I recommend the freshly squeezed pamplemous juice!
google avatar

Zachary C.

Yelp
This is an idyllic place to sit, enjoy a drink, and people watch. We were there in off season so it was easy to get a seat outside. I was told that they are known for their la tarte Tropézienne, which is basically a giant custard donut. It was pretty good and a slice was large enough for 3 or 4 people to share.

Yelp
Great view on the port and smack in the middle of all the action. Food and service much better than one would expect given its location. Dont miss out on the colossal creme caramel!

Lou D.

Yelp
So senequier is the place to go in Saint tropez. You have to take a coffee here in the morning and look at the life on the port starting. It's an amazing way to see the true locals at work. The food is good and simple. Little bit expensive but the area is like that

Yelp
This is one of those places suitable for any time of the day and any type of St Tropez visitors. You can come here for a cigarette and glass of cocktail, sitting out under the afternoon sun, having rows of luxury boats as your view; you can come here accompanying your kids, having some casual burgers and fries; you can also come here for a nice sit-down dinner, complete with foie gras, truffle, and all else exquisitely French cuisine. Miss St-Tropez and Senequier

Yelp
Location is unrivaled, situated on the water of St. tropez giving you prime (!) views of the sea, yachts, and the people watching. Oh the people watching. Came here for drinks one evening and though pricey, the service was superb (you want for nothing), and sitting out in their covered patio reads/feels like you've been transported to a luxury haven all your own. Fantastic experience.

Yelp
After 40 years of visiting St Tropez, the Senequier has always been a must-go. It was always the place to take a small break after a charming walk through the lovely old village - just to look at the yachts and the mixed people. Sadly, the last few years this iconic Restaurant/ Bar/ Café has lost it's charme. This year we visited the Senequier a few times including christmas eve, and it's always been the same: The waiters are always, no matter how full or empty it is, acting like absolutely stressed out, making grumpy expressions, acting like they don't hear you, if you want to ask for something, the manager strives around with a sulky expression and the ambience itself feels rigid. It's obvious that they adjust the prices to their image - even for the simple things, like a cappuccino for 10€ - but that doesn't justify the average quality of everything, except the very delicious "St Tropez Spritz". Yes, after all it is a must to visit the Senequier just to get a small feeling of how it was back in the days, but it is not the place to be, when you really want to enjoy your vacation and feel comfortable with being a guest.

Koren M.

Yelp
Worst restaurant experience of my life. Don't order the wrong thing at this restaurant. They will change your order and then bring you a large carafe of water with a ton of SALT in it! Unbelievable.

Aristides C.

Yelp
Definitively an icon of St Tropez. Food is nothing special and quite expensive. For breakfast, however, it is outstanding. Go to the "patisserie", buy your croissants and pastries and move over to the main area where you can order a coffee and orange juice for a reasonable price. A place to see and to be seen
