Located in the center of Old San Juan. Wide range of popsicles including sugar free options. We also ate fried ice cream in the shape of chicken. Staff were very friendly. Good value for money.

Google
Can’t miss if you are in San Juan. They have so many good flavors! Parcha is my go to but their other ones are pretty good as well!

Yanira Cirino

Google
The best popsicles in PR. Since they started, other brands have tried to compete but these paletas are unmatched. Flavors go from sorbets - lemon, strawberry, mango, coconut, pineapple, parcha, tamarindo, guanábana - to milk-based options like coffee, corn, maní, nutella, dulce de leche and more. Just delicious.

Google
Interesting chicken 🍗! Pina popsicle was 👌🏽 not very coconut …..🥥 eat quick, it melts fast!

Deanna

Google
Delicious popsicles, so nice and refreshing. They have tons of options of fruit popsicles or gelato popsicles with toppings. Located in the heart of Old San Juan! It is a can’t miss stop for a nice refreshing dessert.

Ethan Honey

Google
PLEASE NOTE: Will melt in 5-10 minutes after purchasing. Bars cost around 3-5 USD. No seating at the location itself, but there is a district close by to sit and eat it (10 second walk to the right as you exit). Specials were great, and defiantly worth the price. Environment itself isn’t anything great, but it doesn’t matter since it is pretty much in-and-out.

Sherry Huang

Google
So many choices to choose from, and you can add topping to make it even better. You can tell it’s make with the original ingredients since you can taste them in the popsicle. There is seating area outside with table that you can sit and enjoy your popsicle with nice view.

Google
Great quality popsicles. We ordered the Mango Fresa and Limonada Fresa. Both popsicles were delicious. The staff were friendly and explained to us the different options. The popsicles were refreshing and packaged nicely. Overall, great customer service, great quality and flavoring, and affordable pricing. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for something to cool you down as you explore Old San Juan.

Yelp
Best paleta I've ever had. Really fresh flavors with lots of variety. This is a walk up location with no seating area, but it is very close to a beautiful park by the shore with benches and a great view! The counter staff is very friendly and helpful. They speak English, but if you want to practice your Spanish, that's o.k. too. One downside: there are several steps up into the shop with no railings, so if stairs are a problem be sure to visit with a friend.

Yelp
Great ice cream parlor tucked away in the streets of Old San Juan! Since there's no indoor seating, you can enjoy your treat at a scenic spot right across the street, which offers a beautiful view of the bay. The ice cream was delicious--I had cookies and cream, and it was the perfect balance of sweetness with plenty of Oreo pieces. They offer a wide variety of flavors, and, surprisingly, they also sell fried chicken--an unexpected but fun twist! The staff was super friendly, and the prices were reasonable. If you're in the area and craving something sweet, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
We came here after a long day of walking around in the heat. It was definitely dark out and the line was out the door. The entrance is cool and the line just goes back and forth one time once you get inside. It took less than 5 minutes to get to the front. They have gelatos and sorbets on the menu, and the paletas are in the glass cases for you to see and choose. I got the nutella flavored one and you can get them dipped for an extra cost of course. I opted out of that and we took our paletas to the park across the street that overlooks the ports where the cruise ships are and area below. It was so refreshing and the nutella flavor was strong. I also tried a bite of my kid's Oreo one and it was delicious. This is a great stop on your tour of Old San Juan.

Yelp
It's a small shop with lots of options!! No sitting areas but there is a nearby scenic view with some benches across the way. I opted for a fresh half mango half strawberry. The young lady asked if I wanted tajin and of course! However. I didn't realize it was an up charge and that she was going to add more than I wanted. It definitely took away from the paleta and I would've preferred to add my own but maybe just skip it.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this small shop while exploring Old San Juan. Very delicious gourmet popsicles! Perfect for a hot day walking around Old San Juan.
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect way to cool off on a hot day in San Juan! We tried 3 flavors - the coconut being the best -creamy and delicious! Staff was helpful and very friendly. Not too far from the cruise terminal. You can add toppings and everything is individually packaged

Yelp
Amazing paletas that are a super reasonable price! Definitely a must-try in Puerto Rico! These were super great to have to cool down after walking around old San Juan! Definitely try the flavors with panache and guayaba! They were excellent.

Yelp
I love paletass. Location is so good with the outside being an overview promenade, and so many options, and fried chicken ice cream hehe trendy!. I loved the coco parcha flavor, and wish i tried the corn flavor. They had one flavor for doggie too! Adorbs. Small spaceinside and theres a card minimum but its fine if you just buy two paletas. Friendly helpful staffs.

Yelp
Delicious popsicles, so nice and refreshing. They have tons of options of fruit popsicles or gelato popsicles with toppings. Located in the heart of Old San Juan! It is a can't miss stop for a nice refreshing dessert. There was a pretty long line but it went by fast, and the service was very friendly!
google avatar

Queta S.

Yelp
The service was speedy. You can add toppings to your paleta but I opted out. I had the coco and parcha. I thought it was the best of both worlds. The coco was sweet and the parcha was refreshing. The location was small and does not have a seating area. However, across from them is a little seating area where you can hang out and enjoy the view.

Yelp
Great late night dessert after roaming the streets of Old San Juan. Fresh and tasty! Wish I went back to try more flavors! 5/5!

Yelp
Feb 16, 2025 review This popsicles place is located in the old San Juan and close to the fort area. Lot of options within gelato (milk based) and fruit based (non dairy). I was told that mango and strawberry are the most famous ones among fruity popsicles so I got a mango- strawberry popsicles. It was around 4-5 dollars. Upper half mango, and lower half as strawberry. Person taking order was able to understand little English and was able to answer the questions I asked so that helps.

Yelp
A perfect sweet treat! Perfect after a full day of walking around San Juan. They have some public tables and chairs right across the street.

Yelp
Passionfruit is where it's at! Highly recommended, very refreshing on a hot day. We got this as part of a larger food tour with a local company.

Yelp
Señor Paleta has two locations that I've been to. Their Old San Juan store is fun, clean, and always doing something special. I've had two popsicles at this location and one at their Condado store. They've started selling their products in grocery stores too. Recently, they had a chicken (ice cream) promotion going on. You'd have to see it to believe it. It's a thing and something to experience if you're a foodie. During my latest trip, I wanted something with chocolate. The Oreo popsicle was heavenly. I chose a topping of chocolate. It tasted like a chocolate covered Oreo. It was too good. On a different trip, I had the cake popsicle and it tasted exactly like cake. It had sprinkles inside of it. It was certainly unique. There was a Bad Bunny promotional event going on in the store at the time. They had shirts and unique items to represent his connection to the island. This promo was in 2022 but clearly, I've been back since then. Señor Paleta has become a Puerto Rico gem and local labor of love. The staff are so friendly and the service is one of a kind. I highly recommend stopping in and buying a souvenir with your dessert. It's a memorable experience!

Yelp
It's worth throwing try! Nestled in a quaint corner of Old San Juan, we walked in on a quiet Friday afternoon, and was immediately attended to. Great service, an array of options, and refreshing on a hot day. I must admit, the mango was lacking that mango punch by tasting like sugar water, but I'd come back to try other flavors. Thank you Señor Paleta!
google avatar

Yelp
El Señor Paleta is a small spot to get tons of different flavors of paletas. They don't seem to have any places for seating but don't let that discourage you - I absolutely recommend getting a paleta and opening it up immediately after stepping outside and devouring it. We got a paleta de maiz and it was sooooo delicious. The corn flavor was so yummy and I absolutely recommend trying this flavor. I'm sure they have other good flavors that I'll have to check out another time.

Yelp
If you are in the area and are craving a popsicle, Señor Paleta offers plenty. Señor Paleta offers an assortment of handheld gelatos and sorbets throughout the year. Since these are artisanal popsicles, flavors are rotational. After seeing pictures of cute popsicles with toppings and drizzles, Señor Paleta was on my bucket list of places to try in San Juan. However, upon arriving, Señor Paleta was nothing like I pictured. First, Señor Paleta sits on top of a hill in San Juan... and can be a challenge if you start by the water. Second, once you arrive, popsicles are already pre-wrapped, and there is not much advertisement for any toppings or drizzles to add on. Overall, popsicles were tasty (I had the nutella), but not worth the hassle unless you're truly a popsicle fan. The business does not have any seating, does not have good signage on services and hospitality is just not there...

Yelp
This was our second stop on our food tour and our guide grabbed us a popsicle treat as we waited in the nearby park. It was a hot day and we were walking up hill so this was the perfect timing to cool down during our walking tour. I had the passion fruit flavor which was delicious and definitely cooled me down on a hot San Juan day.
google avatar

Kristi O.

Yelp
It was overpriced and the mango was good but nothing special. I feel it has become too touristy.

Yelp
Took a Tour of Old San Juan with a history group where we stopped at 5 places along the way. This was our last stop - a little dessert. It was amazing!! I got the pistachio gelato and it just oozed with pistachio flavor. A bonus - stroll just across the street and we got a great view of a very large cruise ship going out to see. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Walking the streets of San Juan, I wanted something tasty and sweet. We stumbled upon Senor Paleta and I was not disappointed. It was delicious. The shop was so cute and in the perfect area and the staff was super helpful and friendly. I asked for the top two and it was a draw between the Strawberry Shortcke w/ White Chocolate and the Oreo dipped in chocolate with Oreos pieces on top. Needless to say I went with the strawberry. Please visit and enjoy!
google avatar

Sharika M.

Yelp
Nothing necessarily wrong with the place but it's overhyped. The popsicles are wrapped up in plastic but they can add toppings such as tajin or oreo crumbs. I got the strawberry cheesecake which wasn't as sweet as I thought it'd be. Pina with tajin was a decent pairing. About $4.50 per popsicle.
google avatar

Carolyn C.

Yelp
Staff didn't want to feel us out I guess? Never were we offered toppings or explained the process--just asked which flavor popsicle we wanted then led to the cash wrap. In and out real quick, sadly we were robbed of the experience but others talked highly of their concoctions. Popsicles were tasty!
google avatar

Abby C.

Yelp
Stopped during a food tour and had a DELICIOUS tamarind popsicle that was super delicious and unique!
google avatar

Yelp
Food (5/5 stars): If you're in Old San Juan, you must stop by Señor Paleta. Their mango paleta was perfectly sweet and so refreshing! Highly recommend! Experience (5/5 stars): * Price: reasonable * Wait Time: minimal on a Thursday afternoon * Service: very good and friendly * Ambiance: it's a cute little shop
google avatar

Kara C.

Yelp
It was a typical paleta place. I don't think I'd wait in line again. I'd probably just hit up the next place (they are everywhere).
google avatar

Ray N.

Yelp
Our walking tour group included this store as our desert. These were Delicious popsicles (almost a sin to call them that). These deluxe popsicles are not your regular street corner vendor! They have wonderful flavor combinations that just make you say wow! I had the limonada fresa and my wife had the strawberry cheesecake. Both were rich in flavor and generous portions. The store has a very modern look to it, which contrasts the vintage look of old San Juan. The staff was Very friendly and took the time to explain all of the flavors from the first person in our group to the very last ( me). Señor Paleta and their staff were definitely worthy of our Five stars and definitely worth your visit!
google avatar

Sophia N.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by here as a little pre-dinner snack. It was not too sweet (which was good) so I could really taste the ingredients. They have both traditional flavors as well as flavors that feel more special to Puerto Rico. I got the guava queso flavor which was a yummy blend of sweet and salty flavors.
google avatar

T. S.

Yelp
Unique selection of popsicles. My wife is a chocoholic and loved the chocolate brownie with real brownie chunks. My kids had more common fruit flavors and I had tamarind. Sat outside was really a nice environment.
google avatar

Nathan S.

Yelp
This place is legit and right in the heart of Old San Juan. We tried the Coco/Parcha and Piña Colada paletas. Both were so fresh and tasty but the Coco/Parcha was the winner. My son had the chicken leg, which was a little weird but good too. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Neha M.

Yelp
i'm so glad i got to try this spot while roaming the streets during san sebastián thursday they have loads of options (and at a lower cost than the other paleta spot around the corner) i decided on coco with nutella and dulce de leche on top. inside the coconut part was a chunk of nutella and wow what a combo. the dulce added some more creaminess to it. staff was also great, very friendly and gave recommendations. definitely a spot to grab your paleta and continue exploring (not for sitting)
google avatar

Yelp
A great way to beat the heat in Old San Juan is by paying a visit to Senor Paleta. They offer a wide variety of ice pops to satisfy your cravings. My choice was the refreshing strawberry lemonade flavor.
google avatar

Yuri C.

Yelp
Senor Paleta is a small ice cream shop located in Old San Juan. They have over twenty flavors with an optional three toppings. I got the coconut with passion fruit, nuts, and coconut flakes. I love how the paletas are not overly sweet but perfectly paired with the toppings.
google avatar

Nadia A.

Yelp
I love me a good paleta after a meal on a hot summer night. Walked over to senor paleta after having dinner to grab a refreshing dessert and of course this place is buzzing even at 8:30 at night. The place is small and service is always busy and going. They were nice and delivered our order right away. The place is small and no place to sit and eat inside but there's seating across the screen and to enjoy the view as well.
google avatar

Rozet S.

Yelp
Amazing spot for dessert on the go! We ordered a pistachio and Nutella paleta. Both were delicious! Take your paletas and go across the street - beautiful view!
google avatar

Warren D.

Yelp
Date of visit: 5/9/23 The epitome of "hole in the wall," Senor Paleta is a tiny closet of a place that sells popsicles of different types and flavors. A paleta was not familiar to me at all, but our non-gringo friend, having grown up in Puerto Rico, was very familiar and encouraged us to stop in and try one during our recent visit. The staff here was very friendly and provided us with suggestions on flavors to try and which ones were non-dairy as well. I do wish that there was a little more room in there to be able to see the flavors without feeling like you're rubbing up on the other patrons, but otherwise it was a great experience!

bonita n.

Yelp
The taste was thin and disappointing. The paletas I get from my local warehouse club taste much richer. Hubby was glad the store had vegan options but was underwhelmed by the taste

Colleen E.

Yelp
I'm so glad we stopped here during our visit to Old San Juan! It's right next to a cute plaza with a beautiful view. Staff was friendly and helpful and the popsicles were refreshing and delicious. Would recommend the coconut and mango ones.
google avatar

Keauni S.

Yelp
It was a very hot day so maybe my perspective is a little diluted but these popsicles? top tier. It was the best snack to cool us down after exploring the city all day. The workers saw how hot we looked and gave us water as well haha. Definitely a nice spot to go get a snack for the family, with it being very close to the Plaza de Hostos, you can all sit and relax in the shade while enjoying your treat!
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
Mango strawberry popsicle was delicious and refreshing. Strawberry mojito was unique and quite tarty-sweet. Everyone recommended this place for me to try, but I'm not sure what the hype is about. Good fresh popsicles but nothing mind-blowing to write about.
google avatar

Cristina R.

Yelp
These paletas are the perfect frozen treat to enjoy while exploring San Juan! We got the guayaba queso - which is a bit creamy from the cheese and filled with guava paste - as well as the papaya piña - which is fruity, fresh, and apparently doesn't have added sugar (though you can't tell from the taste). Be careful that they'll melt quickly on a hot day, so you may get some sticky hands. But totally worth it. I saw that they had some seasonal flavors for Christmas like tembleque, so I'm excited to go back and keep trying different things!
google avatar

Kirsten C.

Yelp
The first row has dairy and the back row doesn't have dairy. If you use a card the minimum amount is about $5. This is a must when walking around Old San Juan. The mango paleta was great! Would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Zoila A.

Yelp
Parcha, Coco, Mojito y Banquito en la plaza mirando hacia la bahía. "Esto es vida", como dice Robi "Draco" Rosa en su canción. :)
google avatar

Alena B.

Yelp
I love the concept of their ice cream with the toppings. I got one of the fruit pops with coconut shavings on top but I really wish they had some other vegan chocolate option. Still smacking.
google avatar

Lizcary A.

Yelp
Wish I stopped here more than once on my trip. They have a variety of flavors and lactose free options as well for those who are lactose intolerant. I tried the passion fruit flavor and it was 10/10. I recommended stopping by señor paleta on your next trip to Viejo San Juan!
google avatar

Tina J.

Yelp
BE CAREFUL IF YOU HAVE PEANUT ALLERGIES! I ordered the Dulche de leche popsicle and I got peanut butter...twice! Luckily I dont have any allergies and I like PB so I kept the second one, but I really wanted to try the dulce one. oh well. The problem is that the popsicles itself dont have any labels so somewhere along the way they got misplaced in the wrong section I guess, dulce de leche and peanut butter are both that light brown/tan color so its hard to tell which is which. My friend got the Mojito one and loved it. Also, everyone posts about the sunflower popsicle and I thought they'd have other cool shapes but thats the only one and its passionfruit flavored. The popsicles were about $3 and if you want to add toppings its like $1-2 more. Be careful because they melt fast! Ask for the square holding so it doesnt get messy all over your hands. Tip: they have another location in the Condado location. Not sure if its bigger or better. Recommend? yes return? probably not.
google avatar

Sulav T.

Yelp
We were walking around Old San Juan and stumbled on this place. But since I had heard about their popsicles during my initial research, I made sure we tried at least 1 poscicle even though it was late at night. With so many options to choose from, I went with Dulche de leche (around $3.50), and it was pretty good. Since it was really hot and humid that night, the popscicle melted pretty quickly, so had to try to finish it asap. Should have probably asked for the popscicle holder. Would recommend the place if you like sweet and cold stuff during a hot and humid day.
google avatar

Joanne T.

Yelp
Wishing I stopped in here more than once on my trip. Fun spot with a variety of popsicle flavors. So many great options to pick from. I grabbed the Ferraro Chocolate popsicle and my boyfriend got the Strawberry Cheesecake one. I preferred mine, but both were good. Sadly devoured the popsicles, and didn't get a picture. 10/10. Would come back for sure!
