Sense Hotel Sofia

Strengths: The reception and concierge staff are exceptionally friendly. The hotel is located in centre, and virtually all major tourist attractions in Sofia are within walking distance. I also loved my room, which offered a beautiful view of the St. Alexander Cathedral. ||Weakness: The rooms are not well soundproofed; guest staying on the higher floors may hear music from the rooftop bar at night. The breakfast selection is limited, and given its relatively hight price (around 25 EUR), the variety of the food fall below expectation. But they are in good quality.

I recently stayed at Sense Hotel Sofia, and the experience was truly exceptional from start to finish. The hotel has a modern, luxurious atmosphere, and every detail feels thoughtfully designed. The rooms are beautifully styled, very clean, and offer amazing comfort with great city views. One of the highlights of my stay was the spa. It’s incredibly relaxing, elegant, and well-maintained. The facilities are top-quality, and the staff make you feel completely taken care of. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day in the city. The service throughout the hotel was outstanding — professional, friendly, and always ready to help. The overall ambiance, combined with the quality of the amenities, made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend Sense Hotel Sofia to anyone looking for a mix of luxury, comfort, and a fantastic spa experience.

Lovely staff in beautifully designed hotel right in the middle of the main tourist sites of Sofia. Every person we interacted with was charming and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the pool is awesome. One star knocked off as the breakfast area is used as a bar at night. The hotel, for some reason, allows smoking in that space so, at breakfast, it smells of stale cigarettes

The hotel itself is very beautiful and tastefully decorated. The rooms are spacious and offer a lovely view.|Unfortunately, the soundproofing is not adequate — we were staying on the 3rd floor and could clearly hear the music coming from the rooftop bar on the 9th floor, as well as the traffic noise from the street below throughout the day.|When we arrived at 11 p.m., only the male receptionist was on duty, and we had to wait about 20 minutes to check in. Once in the room, we noticed that there were no dental kits in the bathroom. We called reception to request two, but were told to come down and collect them ourselves, which is not the kind of service one would expect from a 5-star hotel.|Aside from that, the rest of the staff were always very kind and attentive to our needs — especially Abigail, who was exceptionally helpful throughout our stay

Woke up in the middle of the night with my little kid and couldn't go back to sleep because of the smell of strong smoke. Reception tried to help us but we didn't like the room suggested 😕 overall the hotel is good. But however the hotel is smoke free and smoke detectors should work. Wanted to give updates on my review since I changed from 3 to 1. We slept in room with cigarettes smell with my kids who is 10 years old until 10 am. They said we are sorry no rooms, but after I connected with Expedia somehow hotel provided us room. But problems didn't end. In our new room air-conditioning was not working, so it was sold. Asked helped to turn it on. Staff came and brought heater. Can you image through what we were going. I have requested thermometer since all the time front desk was arguing with me, so I has to prove them. We selected this property relying on its advertised five-star standard. This was not just a regular stay for us. My child is a competitive gymnast who has trained for years to qualify and represent the USA team at the World Championship. We chose your hotel specifically for rest and recovery before this important event. Since she was smelling smoke until morning, she couldn't eat all next day and had headache. This directly affected her physical and mental preparation for something she has worked toward for years. The worst thing there were no managers. Fron desk staff were saying manager is not available. Even Expedia tried to connect with manager but there was no luck too. In conclusion During our stay, the hotel failed to provide 5* standards due to multiple material deficiencies, including confirmed cigarette smoke infiltration in our original room, a malfunctioning air-conditioning system in the replacement room that required the use of a portable heater, and the absence of on-site management to address these issues in a timely manner. I wouldn't highly recommend this hotel and never will come back again!!!

This is my 3rd time at the hotel, and I usually do not write reviews...|However, for this hotel I will make an exception.||From the start at the front desk, the cleaning staff, ... everyone I encountered was always very friendly and accommodating.||I would also like to mention one person in particular: Slavka. She was always there at the breakfast table, very attentive already next to the table offering me another capucinno before I could even ask. She became a familiar face, a person that made me feel welcome and at home.||Thank you. I am looking forward to our next encounter :-)

Lovely hotel with a beautiful spa! We had a great time here. It is a little relaxing pocket if serenity. Right from. When you walk in, it smells great, the front desk and front folks are so friendly, and being greeted with bubbly always helps. The room is perfect. Clean and modern. Comfortable beds. Lots of room. Nice windows. Great bathroom with a nice rain shower and great toiletries..it was a very comfortable room. The pool, sauna, steam room, gym and spa are fabulous! I love a hot tub! The pool and cold plunge are great. The sauna and steam room are great. Loved my foot massage and scalp massage too. The rooftop bar is great for a drink. Nice cocktails and friendly staff. Beautiful view! Breakfast is also served here and it was a nice Continental with hot and cold as well as an omelette station made to order. Everything was lovely!! I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Breakfast at Sense Hotel Sofia is always a highlight of my business trips. The food variety is excellent, but what makes it truly special is Slavka’s service. Even though I visit only once a year, she remembers my coffee order and always provides the warmest, most attentive service. Absolutely outstanding!
