Senses - A Disney Spa

Saratoga Springs Spa is a beautiful, spacious and relaxing experience. I’m a DVC member and tried many resorts. If you ‘re looking to rejuvenate your mind and body this is the place. My daughter and I love running together and practicing yoga. The Senses fitness center and outdoor pathways and trails are fantastic. After a work out we enjoy relaxing in the spa and treating ourselves to manicures and pedicures. We love the Orly nail products-vegan and FX gel polish lasts a long time. The staff are friendly and highly skilled.

Google
One of the best spas in Orlando can be found here at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. There's another location at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. But if you want the very best spa experience at Disney, try the Four Seasons Resort at Walt Disney World.

The facility was great, the amenities were wonderful, but I was a bit disappointed in the massage itself. Being an athlete my whole life, I have had a LOT of massages, but this was the first time that I actually felt pain...not in an "oh my muscle is sore and that hurts but in just the right way" pain, but in the sense that too much attention was given to a spot that did not need attention. The area was fine before the massage, but now it has been nearly two weeks since my appointment and my skin in that area is still tender to the touch. Also, I specifically told her that my legs were sore when she asked if there was anything I wanted to focus on (I had just run the half marathon the day before), and she barely spent any time at all on my legs. While I enjoyed the visit itself, and think there was value in the spa, I feel like this was the type of massage I would get free from a massage school for training purposes...if that.

Google
I had the best massage experience of my life from start to finish and it was worth every penny. Alicia was incredible and professional. I would absolutely go see her every time I am back at Saratoga. After the perfect massage I went to the relaxation room and was served a complementary glass of wine and chocolate. Does it get any better than that ?

Libby C.

Google
A must do! My legs and feet feel amazing and you get an all inclusive spa experience whether you get one treatment or more. Free hot tub and steam room. Loved it all and on top of that best massage I have ever had. Will do again.

Kelly L.

Google
Our favorite spa in the area! Its so peaceful and relaxing. Everyone is super friendly here. We tried the one at the Grand Floridan and didnt like the atmosphere as much. This one is definitely nicer and we try to go for pedicures after every weekend trip.

Cristina D.

Google
I had gone in the past and had a good experience, but not this time! The technician not only did a poor job as far as quality of the manicure and pedicure, but she spent the entire time talking down about the services that I just paid almost $200 for! I could have gotten a better job done at a local "cheap" walk in manicure place. She certainly took the "Magic" out of the entire experience. Later that day the polish began to flake off. Horrible experience!

Kristin S.

Google
I was so excited for my massage and was deeply disappointed in what I received. I told her exactly which muscles needed work and she made a half hearted attempt. Her massage style was rushed and not relaxing, she never offered to turn on the table heating pad, I had to ask, and she would work one side differently than the other. After politely voicing my disappointment to management I was given a 40% discount. While I’m thankful for this I’m still upset that I paid $160 for the worst massage. I go monthly for massages so I know a good one from a bad one and this was terrible.

Yelp
This is a pre-COVID review. The Senses spa is very nice. My sister and I surprised our mom for mother's day with a trip. The amenities are good too. The nails are beautiful and it is the only place that officially can do Disney designs. I didn't get gel so the designs didn't stay on as long as my mom and sister's nails. They both seemed happy with how long their nails lasted. It is pricey (but of course, it's Disney) so it's not something I would recommend doing for every trip.

Yelp
4 Stars for a spa that features $25 day passes (YUP!) and the best heated mosaic loungers. My girlfriend and I have been hitting up some of Orlando's spas and we decided to check out Senses. I imagine all resorts on Disney property are a bit over the top. Senses has beautiful facilities, and though I only saw a steam room, no sauna, the heated lounge seats by the jacuzzi make up for it. In terms of snacks, this ain't the Ritz, but there are some trail mix goodies in the quiet area. And the day pass at the Ritz is double this cost here... so, this lady right here had herself some trail mix after that. Overall, staff was lovely, facilities were healing.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful staff. Would definitely visit again. Everyone was kind, facial and massage were great

Yelp
I absolutely will never ever go to Senses spa to get my nails done. It was $156 for gel french manicures! It is waaaay too expensive. The end result was an average nail job. Everything is super inflated. I realize that Disney is a resort and they have to make money but to gouge hard-working people?! I was told over the phone that removing my current gels was included in the price when it ended up not being included. Yeah, they charged just to take nail polish off! I've never been charged $30 just to remove current nail polish, even if they are gels. I'm on vacation at Disney world Saratoga Springs resort and all I can say is - this stupid spa ruined my day. It is not cool to be told over the phone that everything is included and then be charged more when you actually get there. Ladies, do not waste your precious money getting your nails done at Senses. They charge WAAAAAAYYYYY too much and their nail technicians are not that good. By the time I booked my appointment, my current nails were already grown out so far, I had to get them redone or they'd break. So, I was stuck with the appointment at Senses and also they charge you a cancelation fee if you change your mind too late. Seriously...$156 for a gel manicure?! Are they made out of friggen gold?! I will never ever return to this salon again! It is not fun being at a spa that charges hard-working people an arm and a leg.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience at Senses Day Spa. I had the citrus Grove Massage and the custom facial. The spa itself is nicely appointed with everything you need. Steam room, hot tub, heated loungers and a co-ed relaxation room all clean and well attended. They have loungers in the relaxation room that will put you right to sleep. Both services were wonderful! I felt revived and refreshed after 4 days at the parks. It is a Disney spa, so expect Disney prices. A 20% gratuity is added for all spa services. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Go for a body wrap with Johanna Lugo. So good! So good! Senses is worth the price especially if you plan smart and have a discount. My wrap was at noon so I arrived at 10 and enjoyed the steam room, cold shower, jacuzzi, cold shower! The facility is so clean AND it doesn't smell like bleach! About 20 till noon, I went up to enjoy the relaxation room. After my treatment I enjoyed a glass of champagne, where else?? In the relaxation room. There Jennifer was working, she was very attentive and a pleasant demeanor. I would give it 5 stars if there were discounts of some kind, say when n they are slow.

Yelp
What an incredible experience! I booked the night before and they were able to accommodate the time and massage that I wanted. The spa itself is gorgeous and very clean. There are many extras that come with your spa treatment such as a hot tub and heated stone chairs, showers, steam room and a beautiful relaxation room. Julia was my masseuse and she was fantastic! After speaking with her before my service we decided a custom massage would be a better fit. I had tons of knots in my calves and back and was in a lot of pain. I walked out feeling like a million bucks! The two women at the front desk were just as wonderful. So friendly, kind, and helpful. I suggest everyone experiences the Senses Spa! I know that I will be back!

Yelp
Initially, my trip was a complete 1 star experience, that by the AMAZING work of a cast member was turned around for the better. Last Friday, November 17th, we began our vacation at Disney. Please note: we come here with a very large group(80+) every other year, so I'm well versed in the absolute magic of Disney, and up until now, have NEVER had a complaint. Prior to arriving at Disney, my mother booked 3 gel manicure appointments at the Senses Spa, and we could not have been more excited. We've never visited any of the spas on property, and were sure this was going to be on par with Disney: simply magical! That was not the case. The appointment started off well enough, and we enjoyed sipping our citrus water in the relaxation lounge. There were 2 tech's there, so my mom and I sat first, while the other member in our party waited. The trouble began as I sat there, watching my nail tech paint my nails at the same skill level as my 10 year old niece. It was the absolute worst manicure I have ever received in my life, and the most expensive. I was so disappointed, upset, and taken back that my mother was shelling out $125 For this?! We paid extra for the Disney design(it's a rip-off, $50 and you are limited basically just getting little mickeys. See my pictures!). The paint job and the design were atrocious, and I was very upset. My tech left to go on break promptly after my manicure was complete, and I began seeing that my mom's nails were way better, as were the ones our friend wad having sober at that time. This is when Jenifer G. completely saved the day! She immediately picked up on the fact I was very disappointed, and assured me she would fix it. She maticoulsly spent the next 30+ minutes salvaging the horrid paint job, and applying new Mickeys that didn't look like melted ice cream. She as absolutely AMAZING about the whole ordeal, and I felt she genuinely cared about our experience. She was hilarious, compassionate, and incredibly talented! If it wasn't for Jenifer, this would have been a 1 star experience, and I would never return or recommend the spa.

Yelp
To preface my review, I'd like to share that the mediocre rating is partially due to an error on behalf of their scheduling team. I called a centralized number provided on the website to book an appointment here, and the representative booked it at the wrong Disney spa. I arrived at the spa 30 minutes early for my appointment like I was told, only to find out that I was not on their schedule. Luckily, Michael was at the front desk, and he was amazing. He made some calls and booked me a last-minute appointment, and I was truly appreciative. I was then walked through the facility, shown the jet tub, sauna, lockers, and showers. They had really nice complimentary shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and the robes were so luxurious. I really enjoyed their relaxing waiting room, where the masseuse picks you up for your session. There were nice snacks, tea, magazine, and chaises to lay down. My massage was okay. For the price I was paying, I didn't feel it was quite worth it; I've had better massages that were a quarter of the price. However, the whole experience i.e. the lounge, sauna, etc. makes it a place that I'll probably return to the next time I'm in Disney. I really could spend an entire day there and be so relaxed.

Yelp
I booked my wife an afternoon here with the 105 minute signature facial the day we checked in. She's been a professional makeup artist for 20 years so knows her way around a spa or two. She said it's the best experience she's ever had. 'Nuff said.

MaryJane B.

Yelp
The staff at Senses were extremely accommodating to me as a walk-in client. They set me up with a combination of services for the afternoon. Also, they gave me a military discount- big thank you there. The place is scrupulously clean. Lots of nice touches from warm robes to a relaxation room between services. My message therapist, Jodee, from Grand Rapids was excellent. Knowledgeable, professional and friendly. She gave me the best message I've ever experienced. This is a must if staying either at resort or nearby. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
It was amazing... after 5 days of 8mi walking in theme parks; i needed a good massage. And Johana was great and had the right pressure. My lower back and legs muscle is no longer sore. Highly recommend Johana. The relax lounge and steam room was the perfect combo to end the treat.

Yelp
I think it's important to realize that this place was remodeled, and went under an amazing transformation, and reopened in 2013 under a new owner, so any older reviews really shouldn't count. Best spa I've ever been too, hands down. Yes, it's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for, and the experience is top notch. And, if you're a DVC member, you get a discount. First they take you downstairs to change. You get a comfy robe, can shower, lay on a hot stone bed, get in a hot tube... It's so relaxing. Next you go upstairs in the lounge to wait for your masseuse. It's quiet, you sit in these ergonomic chairs, there's refreshments. What's not to like? Then, your masseuse comes to the room. You talk a little about your massage, and then you're off. I had a male masseuse, and he was great. Very professional. I was very relaxed. After the massage, you go back to the little relaxation room, and once you feel ready, you go back downstairs and change into your normal clothes. The only thing I would change would be adding a napping room for when the experience is over. Seriously amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone! Very clean, professional friendly staff, just absolutely wonderful!

Yelp
I came here for a spa day with my wife and it was amazing. We both received the citrus grove massage, it was excellent by far the best massage I've received. We are definitely booking a spa visit on our next trip.

Yelp
Beautiful spa! I go often for the amenities: sauna and hot tub in men's and women's locker rooms. Fantastic, knowledgeable massage therapists skilled in many styles. They have a co-ed relaxation lounge and the zero gravity chairs are heaven on the spine. The staff here is fantastic. Perfect place to go and focus on wellness and relaxation.

Yelp
This spa sucks! Ok, so admittedly I'm a total spa snob, and while you might not give a rat's butt about the some of the stuff that bothered me, I still maintain that this spa is sub par for anyone. I hated the atmosphere. The previous reviewer who remarked that it was like a doctor's office was dead on. Though I disagree that such is to be expected in a resort spa. My first spa experience was at the N Spa at the Marriott Delray Beach, FL, which was absolutely stunning. So much so that it has spoiled all subsequent spa experiences. They say you never forget your first. But I digress. As well as the fact that I don't expect a more clinical environment just because a spa is in a resort, I REALLY don't expect such an environment at Disney, where every detail is attended to in the maintenance of theme. Of course I've never been to Saratoga Springs, NY. Maybe it's just really sterile. Another bothersome aspect about the atmosphere was the massage room itself. I was there for a couple's massage, which obviously took place in the Couple's Suite. The door to the room was windowed and, while there was a shade over the windows, it didn't block out the light from the hallway. I could also hear people milling around and talking throughout the massage. It wasn't JUST the atmosphere that ground my gears, though. The amenities were lacking too. First, the lockers/changing area: WAY too small. I'm pretty emaciated and there was hardly enough room between the benches and the lockers to change. There were two curtained changing rooms, but unless you're self conscious, that sort of defeats the purpose of a locker room. Second, and definitely my biggest complaint: the steam room was atrocious! I got there early to use it before the massage and couldn't stay in it for more than 20 seconds. Yes, SECONDS! My eyes and face started to burn so badly that I had a hard time making the three steps from where I was sitting to the door. When our masseuses were leading us to the massage room, I told them about the problem. One of their responses: "Is the steam too strong or is the eucalyptus too strong?" Well, I'm not a steam room technician, so how the hell should I know? When I opined that it could be one, the other, or both, she said that the eucalyptus is sometimes so strong when it's replenished that they can smell it on the upper floor (the women's locker room is downstairs), but that she doesn't smell it now. Um, ok. Me: "Well, I've been in many eucalyptus steam rooms, so whatever it is, there's definitely something wrong with it." Her: "I'll let someone know." Yeah, either she didn't let anyone know or they just didn't fix it because when I returned 70 minutes (no, not 80, which I'll get to in a sec) later, it was even worse than before. Third, other than the obligatory shampoo, conditioner and lotion, there were no products. There was a sign that they had curling irons available upon request, but since I didn't see an attendant once while I was there, I don't know who you'd ask. An attendant might have also been helpful in telling all the Chatty McChattersons in the hot tub area to shut the hell up. I'm here to relax, not listen to teenage girls yammer on about their friend's boyfriend or the other woman who kept asking me strange questions in an attempt to strike up a conversation. And while I understand that isn't the spa's fault, it doesn't make it any less irritating. Actually, now that I think about it, it IS the spa's fault for not letting women who would rather be ogled than have their ears talked off (i.e. me) use the men's locker room. Again, I digress. And yes, I said 70 minutes, not 80, even though we booked an 80 minute massage. I didn't have a watch or phone on me in the massage room, and I didn't think much of the fact that it felt awfully quick because massages often do. It wasn't until we left the spa that my guy pointed out that it only lasted 70 minutes. Apparently, Disney thinks the minute it takes to pick a scented oil counts for ten minutes. Other than all of that, the massage was fine. I've had better and worse.

Yelp
This was a completely necessary stop for me, after 5 straight days in the parks. I got a spa pedicure. They offer 15% off if you are a Disney Vacation Club member. I got a same day appointment. They have a nice relaxation room, with water, tea and fruit. The spa pedicure included whirlpool chair, massage to the knees, a masque for my legs, wrapped in hot towels up to the knee, plus a perfect pedicure. They gave me the pedicure tools they used on me to take home. When you book a treatment, you can use the pools, spa, and workout room all day if you want. It came to about $60, and for me who never splurges, it was worth it. Days later my feet are still perfect!

Yelp
This was my first Disney spa experience (In January 2016) and the staff was amazing! Super nice when I arrived, answered any questions I had, and gave me a quick tour. The room you waited in before your treatment was amazing. The chairs were comfortable, the tea was fantastic! Compared to the two Senses locations on property, SSR blows GF out of the water! Planning my return trip in November!

Yelp
This is great Spa. Expensive yes, but most spas are. Brown Sugar Scrub is the best. Better mani and pedi than most. Yes, they will try to sell you the products they use, but so does every other great spa. Have always had great service and treatments. Waiting room is peaceful. Locker room/Showers/Whirlpool/Sauna is clean, with many necessary amenities. Staff is helpful and well informed. Have been there for 4 separate trips and worth it each time.

Yelp
Worth the money! I have been to several spas and have had multiple massages, facials, and pedicures, but not like this. They definitely make you feel like a princess! Obviously you are paying Disney prices but it is worth it. I had a massage, facial, and pedicure package. The aromatherapy massage was relaxing and stress free. Before my services I was able to use the steam room and found it at an appropriate temperature. The spa provides disposable brushes and combs, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, flat iron, and body wash. There is also a hot tub you could use before or after your services. You also have access to the spa's gym should you want to workout before or after. The only issue I had was that I was asked to pay before my services. They automatically had a 20% tip to the bill. I would have left a little more tip, but because I was asked to pay in advance I was not given that opportunity.

Yelp
The overall spa is okay. It has more of a resort interior (not very boutique and more typical Disney resort look) to it than a relaxing day spa interior. The finishes inside kind of reminds me of a doctors office than a spa retreat. They offer lockers to store your stuff, robes, towels, slippers, showers with shampoo, soap, lotion, etc...It's nice what they have to offer, just needs an interior upgrade. There's a hot tub and sauna for your use. So we got there, you need to have an I.D. on you that they will keep at the front desk. The front desk people were eh, not the friendliest, but they got friendlier when it came time to pay. We walked downstairs to the locker room where we changed. There is someone there keeping things tidy at all times, so its nice to know that things are being maintained. The massage therapist was nice, but not friendly. She didn't get too in depth about specific areas to work on or where there might be problems. She just asked some VERY basic questions of are you allergic to anything, any sicknesses and that was about it. I guess I needed to speak up and state that I had a tight neck and shoulder, but may I say this is only my second time having a massage. The overall massage was okay. I don't know really how to rate them, but I didn't fall asleep and don't think I could say she was able to get me fully relaxed. The massage room was eh, it again reminded me of a doctors office. Maybe that was why I couldn't fully relax. Overall for being Disney, I am a little disappointed, but I cannot complain at all because this was a wonderful gift.

Danielle E.

Yelp
If I could give this spa more than five stars, I happily would. From the moment we arrived, we truly felt like VIPs. The locker room was well-equipped with any amenity you might need. The relaxation room was great - filled with lounge-style seating, drinks, and snacks to get your spa day off to a great start and finish. I had a signature gel manicure, and my mom has the orange blossom manicure. Both were fantastic, and my gel polish lasted three weeks before a single chip. I get manicures fairly often, and this was hands down the best one I've ever had. We also each got a 50-minute massage, which again, did not disappoint. If you have the time, a visit to Senses should not be missed!

Yelp
I was very disappointed by my experience at the Senses Spa at the Saratoga Springs resort. I set up Swedish massages for myself, my daughter, and my boyfriend. This was our last treat on our last full day at Disney and we were all looking forward to a massage! We arrived at the facility and was rushed through the introduction and the tour of the facility. My daughter and I were taken down to the women's lounge and shown around. I was assigned a locker and a robe. The robe did not fit. I am an obese person. This is 100% my issue to deal with, and I am, but there is no way an XL robe is going to fit a 3X body. Had the cast member not been rushing through her tour and explanation, she might have realized that the robe would not fit. I guess she had more important things to do. My daughter was completely amazed at the entire spa experience, so I guess that's good. Unfortunately, I could only feel awkward and not relaxed at all in the relaxation room. I eventually left the room and decided to go to the lobby and wait for my boyfriend to finish his massage. We compared notes, and he had robes up to a 5X in the men's lounge and at the end of his massage he was offered a glass of wine and to go back to the relaxation room if he wanted to. He was able to shower and shave after his massage. I talked to my daughter, who was glowing, she was able to go back to the relaxation room and shower in the women's lounge after her massage. I am very happy that my daughter and boyfriend had such a good time. My experience of the Senses Spa was anything but good. My massage was technically proficient, but the therapist was phoning it in. She asked me the basic where does it hurt question and asked if the pressure was OK, but other than that no other conversation or questions. Once she was finished, I dressed and as I exited the room she was waiting for me with a glass of water and a complimentary chocolate. She then hustled me out the door. No offer to go down to the women's lounge to freshen up, no offer to go back to the relaxation room for a glass of wine. She was politely rude and it was clear that I was no longer welcome at the spa and it was time for me to go.

Sharon W.

Yelp
This Spa is one of the best I have ever been to. My husband and I just spent the day pampering ourselves with an 80 minute massage and an 80 minute facial. Both therapists were absolutely awesome and worked on certain problem ares on my back that I requested. The spa is first rate in every way. The Relaxation room where you wait to meet your therapist has snacks and is a completely relaxing atmosphere. The lounge has showers, a whirlpool and everything you need to get ready after your sessions. Ask for Julie for your massage, she is great!

Sabrina C.

Yelp
This spa was wonderful! Disney does everything they can to make everyone's experiences truly the best and I wasn't expecting anything less when visiting Senses! I booked a 50 minute couples massage for my hubby and I. We were greeted by the front desk associate as soon as we had walked in! We were then shown around the spa, the treatment rooms and the relaxation room. Once that part was done, we were split off to our respectful locker rooms and assigned a locker with a robe and slippers. In the locker room there were showers, stone beds, a whirl pool and a eucalyptus steam room! There were plenty of water and towels readily available throughout the spa. There were snacks in the relaxation room as well as assorted teas. Once finished with our customized couples massage we were offered complimentary champagne and chocolate! Both massage therapists were very professional and extremely accommodating! We cannot wait to go back and visit this spa again! My only complaint about this Spa is that unless you're staying at the resort, the actual entrance to the Spa can be difficult to find. They do a wonderful job of having signage to direct you to the spa parking lot, but once you park you're directly in front of the Disney Vacation Club building, which is VERY clearly marked. The spa on the other hand is located in the back left hand corner of the courtyard that is next to the DVC building. You almost look like you're heading to the pool before you finally see "Senses" on the door to your left. We had to go into the DVC building to ask for directions, the cast member not only told us where to go, but walked us over to the spa! We were very thankful that he took the time to show us exactly where we needed to be!

Stacy F.

Yelp
Pricey but nice full 90 minutes. Layout of the facility was awkward. Lounge area wasn't large enough to accommodate more than 4 people.

Michael T.

Yelp
Very Beatiful Resort and Spa. We booked a room at the resort through www.saratooga.com and paid $162/night. The spa and fitness center were being remodeled during our most recent visit. But, in previous visits, the spa and fitness center were very clean and beautiful places to spend time.

Yvonne W.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed this spa and my Apple Scrub massage. I only wished that I wasn't late and had more time to enjoy the other amenities!
