This is a lovely hotel right on the main square with a beautiful view of the church. The staff were friendly and helpful. They helped us find a private taxi to Samaipata and quickly responded if we needed anything. I was tired and forgot my phone in the breakfast restaurant and when I realized it and returned the staff member immediately knew why I was there and retrieved it and returned my phone. Very honest and safe and comfortable hotel. The breakfast was also wonderful and they made individual omelets too! The only suggestion I have is the beautiful restaurant outside facing the Plaza and church was understaffed. The staff was friendly but it took a long time to get waited on and served...having worked in restaurants myself it was clear this was not due to the staff but a problem with a lack of staff or people helping staff. The outdoor restaurant is so beautiful it would be nice to address this lack of staffing issue.

The hotel is luxury, but just ok. The beds were very nice and the room had much space. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working and though it was freaking hot in the night. The pool on the top would be cool, but its not really managed, the roof looks like a dump. But I think this is due to very less people during covid times.

This hotel does not pay its workers. The hotel is behind at least 2 to 3 months or more in paying its workers. The workers give good service as much as they can but the turnover is high. And if they quit or they are fired, the hotel does not give them their pay. Ask the workers if you want to know. This hotel is unethical to its workers.

We arrived at 430 am. There was a taxi waiting for us at the airport as I’d arranged (via Facebook messenger). Bit of confusion at check in as I’d paid for the room with points way in advance. Hotel clerk seemed confused as how to handle this but said we could fix in the morning and I needed to sleep. The issues was already fixed in the morning by management. The room had a nice bed, great air conditioning, hot water, and a mini bar and snacks. Only had the breakfast once and it wasn’t anything spectacular but was good. Great location! I found the staff very helpful. Lastly they hd a taxi ready for our 330 am trip to airport. Pool here is marginal- but you can use the pool at the other senses property

The hotel was clean, room ok, shower bit run down (door didn't close) but overall good room. Staff at check in was efficient, but at ckeck out booked wrong taxi which wouldn't fit our group although we arranged everything clearly. They wouldn't care about it though. Top roof terrasse restaurant is nice, very friendly service and good food and drinks with splendid views of the cathedral.

CONS: The building is very noisy, and privacy is not a feature. Due to the odd layout of nearly every room, someone passing by in the hallways can look in, even without meaning to. If the windows are covered with the blinds you feel like you're in a cave, but with the blinds open you feel like you're in a fish bowl. The bathtub is so narrow you can't stand with your feet apart, making it hard to keep your balance when you're wet and soapy, but don't try holding the grab bars because they're pulling out of the wall. The Jacuzzi pool was broken down for our entire four-day stay. There were bugs in our first room. The second room was better. The hot water at the breakfast buffet tasted like hose water. Payment is in advance at the time of check-in. So be certain that you want to stay here before paying. Getting a refund is like pulling teeth. PROS: The staff were very nice, from the front desk to the bellhops, the waiters and the housekeepers. There is a lovely view from the roof top terrace / restaurant of the main plaza in Santa Cruz and the surrounding buildings. Fortunately you don't have to be a guest of the hotel to eat at the roof top restaurant.

The hotel is just off the main city-center plaza which is convenient. The rooms are clean. The front desk charged us at check-in like normal and then asked for a credit card later that same day, and the next. Not sure why. We did not have towels and had to ask for them - and we were told they didn't have any available. We got stuck in the elevator three times - luckily we could get the door to open with brute strength. There were leaks in the room and stains. There were many small items that kept happening and made our stay less than perfect.

Perfect location with clean, up to date rooms. This one is really hard to rate, because the hotel location and design is really a five star for the price, but the noise - oh the noise at night can be really loud. If you are with children than have difficulty sleeping I would stay away, but if you don't mind going to bed a bit late or can sleep though a hurricane then this is a perfect little spot to stay while visiting Santa Cruz.
