Senses Violett Suites

We booked the Executive View Suite and absolutely loved it! The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered a stunning view. We were so happy with our stay here. When we arrived, we met Anastasia (the owner) she was incredibly kind and personally gave us a tour of the hotel, explaining each area in detail. Later, we met Alex, who was super friendly and helpful, providing us with lots of great local recommendations that made our trip even more enjoyable. And a special thanks to Chef Mara, who prepared the most wonderful breakfast and dinner for us. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so warm, happy, and memorable. We highly recommend this place to anyone considering it you’ll definitely feel welcomed and impressed!

The modern, minimalist suites are beautifully designed with natural materials, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere.||The hospitality from Alex and Anastasia was outstanding, making us feel truly welcome. A special thanks to Alex and Mara for their fantastic meal service - the multi-course breakfast and included three-course dinner were absolute highlights. We also loved the spa facilities, perfect for unwinding after a day of skiing or hiking.||Overall, a flawless experience - stunning location, exceptional service, and pure relaxation. Highly recommended!

Best Hotel of the region. Modern suites, perfect view. Friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend.

The hotel has a great location and the room was comfortable, but unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. During our stay, we went for breakfast at 10:00 AM and finished around 10:40 AM. Despite breakfast being available until 11:00 AM, we were told the kitchen had already closed when we asked for coffee at the end of our meal. It felt unwelcoming and inflexible. Additionally, there were no complimentary water bottles in the room. When we used the one in the fridge, we were charged extra. For the price of the room 343 Euro per night, we expected a higher level of service and attention to detail. Overall, while the location and room were good, the disappointing service makes it unlikely that I would return.

Tucked away atop the hillside above the town, This little bed and breakfast offers a boutique luxury that I am confident is the best in all of Zell am See. The suites are spacious and modern with panoramic views of the town, lake and mountains. The facilities continue to impress, with a spa, boot room, garage and bar/restaurant. ||We stayed to ski, and the transport to and from the ski lift in town was free and well-organised, offering the perfect combination of convenience and seclusion. When not taking the transport, it is easy to walk or take a taxi to and from the hotel.||If you are looking for a sophisticated and modern stay, Senses Violett Suites is an excellent choice, oozing with quiet luxury and tranquillity.

Senses Violett is an absolutely fabulous hotel to stay in when visiting Zell am See, Austria. Possibly the best guest experience we have ever had. Adults only ensures a very relaxing atmosphere and the location and view are serene. Each of the 8 suites is furnished with the highest quality materials and the attention to detail is unmatched. The bed was very comfortable, the Belgian linen sheets were delightful and the shower so spacious and luxurious. The small staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. It was a pleasant surprise to be offered complimentary Chef’s choice dinner, provided to guests only each night should you choose to partake. This was wonderful so as not to need to leave every evening for dinner. Breakfast was also complimentary and was a delicious offering of charcuterie and eggs or muesli each morning. Restaurant attire is “smart casual”. Guests can also take advantage of one of the two shuttle departures and collections to/from the village each day which is particularly helpful for the skiers. The village is a short walk however the hotel is on the hill so you’ll get your cardio on the way back. This is not a party hotel, but rather a relaxed yet refined elite experience.

It is not an understatement to say this is one of the best guest experiences we've ever had, and one of the nicest/friendliest hotels. From personal communication before the stay, to the 'surprise' of home-cooked evening meals included, our stay was fantastic.|The deluxe suite was perfect for relaxing and feeling like a home-from-home, giving us generous space to sleep and relax in two rooms, with giant panoramic windows plus private balcony and a separate bathroom area (with huge walk-in shower), and a beautiful view over the town and lake from both living room and bedroom thanks to the modern sophisticated design and use of glass.|What really made the stay memorable was the friendly greeting from Alex and Alex 2, and Mara's great cooking for breakfast and dinner. Alex 2 deserves special credit as he was always friendly and a perfect host, as well as giving tips of the area and plenty of chat. Being a smaller hotel means the staff can really interact with the guests personally, which makes such a big difference to how the stay is perceived. We didn't have any issues, but if we had then I expect they would have been dealt with quickly and with a smile all round.|Breakfast was also amazing on the top-floor outside, with the lake and mountain view. Same for dinner - an unexpected bonus of a 3-course meal cooked for us each night (except Thursdays) - there is no menu, but we enjoyed everything offered and it was all delicious!|Tips - make sure you let them know your arrival time and ask if you want to 'book' dinner. Suites 4 and 7 seem to be the best in terms of position and privacy. Don't drive into town; it's a steep walk but there's a path with steps which we preferred to the road.|Not really anything to find negative, although the bed was a bit soft for me (subjective, as many people prefer this). Don't let the lack of air-con put you off in the summer, as there were large windows to open and the area was mostly quiet, plus there were fans in the room.|I can imagine the atmosphere in the winter for the ski crowd is also very friendly and warm. In the summer we found it to be the perfect base to explore locally and further afield in the area. We had a car (easy parking in the hotel garage), but it's not far to the train station also. Alex kindly lent us some walking sticks for the mountains, so we didn't need to bring our own.|All in all, one of the best stays we've ever had, and highly recommended.
